Return

I don't want him to leave. I just got him back. I don't want to lose him again. "What do you mean?" I ask.

"Good can't reach Edgar," Uncannoned explains, "and my timeline is running out of time. I think if you would just try..."

"Uncannoned," I reply, "listien, we both know I can't help. Your timeline may be a lost cause. Just stay here, with me, we can be happy together."

"I can't do that," Uncannoned explains, "you can do it Null, I know you can."

"Wait," Good interjects, "Null, what is he talking about? Do you sing? Cause if so we can pull this off."

"No I don't sing," I lie,"never have, never will."

"Null," Uncannoned explains, "I'm going to my timeline with or without your help. If you do not help me, I will be erased."

"Fine," I sigh, "you've cornered me. Here's the truth guys, I do sing, I just... Don't like having an audience. Let's just... Get this over with."

"Wait," Evil interjects, "you're leaving?"

"Yeah," Uncannoned replies, "I'm sorry, but I have to stop Nathan. Goodbye everyone."

"See you later bro," Evil smiles.

"Hey," End explains, "if you're gonna face Nathan, you'll need this." End hands me my baseball bat. "Be safe," End smiles, "and don't froget, we're all here to support you."

"Thanks," I reply, "let's go."

Null, Good, and I head outside. "Ready Null?" Good asks.

"What are we singing?" Null asks.

"I have a suggestion," I interject, "maybe, 'you must listen to us Ed. This is your last chance. You must flee your world, to defeat Nathan.'"

"Got it," Null replies, "let's get this over with."

Good opens a break in space-time to my timeline. The two begin to sing. As Null sings, she becomes more confident. At first, she sings quietly, under her breath, until she eventually sings loud, proud of her beautiful voice.

Edgar takes notice. After arguing with Nathan, he flees from Nathan's world.

"It's time for me to return," I explain, "farewell Null, I promise, someday, I'll get you guys physical form."

Oh gods he's really leaving. Guess I should do something. "Wait," I stop him, "before you go, there's one more thing."

"What is it?" He asks.

"This," I reply. I kiss him deeply, he leans in. Afterwards, he smiles.

"Listen Null," he explains, "I love you, and I would love to stay, but I've got to stop Nathan. Someday, we'll meet again, but for now, I must leave. I'm sorry."

"It's OK," I reply, "just..." I hug him, "be careful, OK?"

"I promise," Uncannoned smiles, "I'll get you physical form."

With that, Uncannoned returns to his timeline. I begin to feel choked up. He's really gone, and it could be trillions of years before I see him again.

"Hey," Good smiles, "I know it's hard, but it had to be done."

"You're right," I sigh, "the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the fewer. After all, there's, like, seven survivors, and five of us counting End."

"Exactly," Good replies, "now come on, let's head back inside."

And with that, this book ends. However, even though this book is over, Uncannoned's story, my story, our story is not. This is just the beginning of something far greater. However, until he becomes canon, this book may be canon, but until he defeats Nathan, Uncannoned is...

Noncanon.
