Return
I melt into darkness and return to the room. I lie down on the bed. The bed is soft, comforting, warm, all things I do not deserve. I deserve a cold, painful existence. I lie in the bed, eventually dozing off. I'm later awoken by a knock on the door.
"Hey Uncannoned," Null greets, "how you doing?"
"I'm alright," I reply yawning, "just took a nap."
"So I was just talking to Good," Null explains, "and they said they wanna meet you. You cool with that?"
"Sure," I reply.
"Hey Uncannoned," Good greets.
"Hey," I reply, "nice to meet ya."
"So," Good continues, "there's something I gotta know to help Edgar in your timeline."
"What is it?" I ask.
"How powerful was Nathan?" Good asks.
"Extremely," I reply, "Nathan shouldn't have been as strong as he was. This isn't anything like the canon Nathan."
"Thanks," Good replies. Then their voice gets quite. I have to press my ear to the door to hear...
"We need him in that timeline now," Good explains.
He isn't ready. Physically or emotionally. I still don't know his intentions. He could be dangerous.
"Not yet," I reply, "he isn't ready."
"I'm sure he isn't dangerous," Good replies, "I mean, I just have this feeling."
"Are you sure?" I ask, "what makes you so certain?"
"Nothing," Good replies, "just a hunch. Listien, I know I don't really have a say in this, but please, consider letting him out. Anyways, I gotta go, leaving Edgar unattended for to long could end badly."
"How's Edgar doing?" I ask.
"Not good," I hear Good's voice through the door, "he's being deceived by Nathan. If this keeps up, there won't be enough characters to sustain a story and..."
"How many are left?" I hear Null ask.
"According to Nathan," Good replies, "five. As I said, it's looking preety bad."
I have to kill I.T. and go! Before it's to late! "Anyways," Null continues, "I'm gonna check up on him. Good luck with Edgar."
"Thanks," Good replies, "I'll see you later."
I knock on the door. "Hey," Uncannoned greets, "so, there's something I wanna ask you."
Is he... About to ask me out? I mean I saw what he looks like, and he is cute, but saying yes would be-
Illogical. This being is to dangerous to let emotions cloud my judgement. I can't let him out, not yet.
"What is it?" I inquire.
"When are you gonna let me outta here?" He asks.
Oh, yeah that makes more sense. What was I thinking? Like that'd ever work out anyways.
"Later," I reply, "anyways, I'm gonna lie down for a nap. You need anything?"
If I'm gonna kill I.T. then I'll need mana. "Got any soda?" I ask.
"Sure," Null replies kindly, "I'll get you one."
They seem so nice. They almost remind me Armored a little. Yet, they're in my way. If they don't let me out soon, I will have to kill them. They crack the door open and hand me my soda.
"Thanks," I smile.
"No problem," they reply, "well, I'm out. We'll talk when I wake up."
Their footsteps echo through the house. I wait long enough for them to fall asleep and turn out my lights. I phase through the door and look at my map. It would appear that I.T.'s palace is due north of here. I start walking towards it...
