Intentions

"What do we do?" I ask.

"I don't fucking know!" Evil exclaims, "I.T.'s always been secretive!"

"Evil calm down," Good demands, "we need to focus on the task at hand. Chances are Null's on their way back, or by now, her way back."

I'm a little curious about the meaning of that, but decide not to ask.

"Of course," Evil replies, "we need to keep her from finding out you've been sneaking out."

"Out of curiosity," I inquire, "what happens if they do find out?"

"She'll probably kill you," Evil replies, "but we'll just kill her and explain the situation so don't worry about it. Besides we revive down here in minutes. It's no biggie. Anyways, I'll let you two go."

Good and I leave the lab and begin back towards Null's house.

"Hey," I explain, "so, I can still absorb souls I think, and I was thinking, maybe I should just kill Null. I'm getting sick of this prisoner facade."

"Yeah," Good replies, "kinda kills the ship, makes it a little creepy even if you can break out super easily. If she doesn't let you out today, I'll handle it."

Wait, ship? What? As in relationship between two fictional characters? There is no ship. I decide to ask further, my curiosity piqued.

"Ship?" I ask, "what ship?"

"Not on the other side," Good explains, "I just think it'd be cute personally, you know? Don't worry about it."

"Sure," I reply, "got it. Anyways, I know the way from here. See ya later."

"See ya," Good replies, "oh, wait, let me mark where the bookshelf is on your map."

I hand Good my map. They draw an X to mark the bookshelf.

"Thanks," I smile, "see ya." I head to Null's house. Only to see her waiting for me.

There he is! How did he get out? I knew he'd be a threat. I get up, holding my crossbow. "Uncannoned," I greet, hiding under my cloak, to uncertain to show my new face.

He draws his scythe. "Null," he replies.

Enough messing around. It's now or never. "I just have one question," I explain, "and I want honesty. Where were you?"

Yeah, not ratting out Good and Evil. Gotta think of something though. Hmmmm... I know!

"I was bored," I reply, "so I left. You have to right to keep me locked up! And to be honest, you never did. That room can't contain me Null, now, I need to prepare to face Nathan and save my timeline. I'll just be grabbing a bite to eat and leaving."

Leaving? Well, he's not wrong. Also he seems to have good intentions, but he's also in danger of fading unattended. I can't just let him leave. Gotta think, who can keep an eye on the adorable little cinnamon roll? Did I just put that in the book?

"Where you gonna go?" I ask, "I can't just let you wander the abyss."

"I'll think of something," he replies, "nothing personal, I mean, maybe a little, but not really. Trying to keep me in that room like a criminal? Not cool. Anyways, I got training to do."

Guess I'll kill two birds with one stone. I can't let Uncannoned become obsessed with training like Reaper did and I.T. needs an assistant. I think I have an idea.

"Maybe I.T. could help," I suggest, "they need a research assistant. You'll have a roof over your head and a training room to use in their castle. What do you say?"

I.T.? Oh, to easy! Just hand me their head on a silver platter why don't you? I'll just train until I'm strong enough to kill them and strike when they're weak! It's flawless! Best of all, they'll never suspect me! The perfect crime!

"Sure," I reply, "sounds good. See ya around Null." I look at my map and approach I.T.'s castle. Soon, I will be able to kill I.T. and erase them once and for all!

Wait, where's Good? Weren't they keeping an eye on Uncannoned? I don't even really care about him escaping, but more so about the fact Uncannoned could have faded. Speaking of which... I check for Uncannoned aura, the energy of his soul, it's still there. OK, just making sure. Better call Good. I go inside and dial their cell...
