Deal With The Devil
I open my eyes once more. "Good morning!" I.T. exclaims, "so here's the deal. Just putting this on record for the lore, but your soul is incomplete. Unlike other beings, you never were one full being. This is why I can rebuild your soul. Now, I've managed to add a few more shards. So, whenever you're ready, we can begin."
I.T. draws a sword. They tosses me one. I lunge at they, but they avoid the strike with unbelievable speed. "Well," theg sigh, "guess there's always next time." My soul is scattered like ashes from a fire.
I knock on the massive doors of I.T.'s palace. "Just a second," they reply. I hear what I believe to be the sheathing of a sword. A few moments later, the door opens.
"Hey Null," I.T. greets, "how can I help you?"
"You've been studying souls right?" I inquire.
"Yeah," I.T. replies, "I already know what you're gonna ask, so I'll help you out."
"How did you-"
"I am The End Null, I can see the other side, got bored, wanted to see if anything was going on so I gave the scene where you told that to Evil a look. I don't know or care who Uncannoned is, so I stopped reading. Come in Null, I've already got everything we need."
I.T. goes deeper into the castle. The castle is dark and gloomy. A sense of dread and the smell of death fills the air. I wonder about I.T.'s research and their ablity to see the other side of the fourth wall. How far does that ablity go? Can they read everything or just bits of peices? You know what, I'll ask.
"I have a question," I explain, "how does seeing the other side work? Can you read everything or is there a limit?"
"Oh," I.T. replies, "there are most definitely limitations. I can only read chapters that take place in The Abyss and even then, I can't read a lot of those chapters either. I can grasp scenes only occasionally, and it's difficult. After I read that scene, I had to recover my strength. Also, when this arc ends I'll lose the ability."
"How do you know that?" I inquire.
"I'm the end," I.T. smirks, "I know these things. Anyways, about the procedure, those on the other side have to undergo surgery, (which I totally respect by the way. If it's what you want, do it, but while I'm speaking to you directly by high jacking these parentheses, I want to make this clear. I'm not the villian here, and some day, some day you'll understand...) but since we are modifying a soul, an astral projection things will be a bit simpler. I can just use my power to mess up souls to modify yours, but I do something for you, you do something for me."
"What do you want?"
"Uncannoned is the main character right? We need some action in his story. Here's what I'm proposing. I've been working on... Something and I require assistance. Uncannoned helps me in my research and I make you more feminine. Deal?"
"This seems a little shady."
"Oh, don't worry, I won't hurt him. You have my word."
"I can't exactly tell him what to do. I'll ask him to, but I can't make any promises."
"Good enough for me. Now, this is gonna burn like Hell and back again, but only for a moment."
I.T. strikes my soul with dark magic. It burns like the hottest of stars as my soul is reforged to a more desirable form. However, the pain only lasts a split second. If that's what being erased feels like, Uncannoned's pain makes a lot more sense. He would have felt it three times in his memories, and he would have to live with the fact that he caused everyone else that pain...
"Finished," I.T. smiles, "a done deal. If you could see yourself out, I have business to attend to. I'm on the brink of a breakthrough I just know it."
I.T. goes deeper into his castel. I leave. What does he want with Uncannoned? Should I even let Uncannoned go near I.T.? Is Uncannoned even gonna agree to this arrangement? I can't wait any longer. It's time to decide for sure if Uncannoned is a threat or not, if he can be free or not...
