Carving Death From Life
There's a knock on the door. "There he is now!" Good exclaims.
It's then that I realize something, Uncannoned will recognize me. Is he with I.T.? Is he gonna kill me? Where's my dagger?
"Where is my dagger?" I inquire.
"Not sure why you need it," Good replies, "but it's on the kitchen counter."
"Thanks," I force a smile to hide my fear. If he is freinds with I.T., it's him or me, and if I can't beat him, I'll just hit him where it hurts, his timeline...
Good opens the door. "Hey mom," I smile, "is End here?"
"Yeah," Good replies, "come in. Can I get you anything?"
"Nah," I reply ignoring my hunger, "I'm in a bit of a hurry." Eating is a waste of time. With the power of Evil's soul, I can sustain myself much longer without mana. Besides I do not deserve the pleasure of food. If I eat, I shall eat only for sustenance.
I see Uncannoned. He looks rather sickly. His skin, once full of life, is now pale, his silver hair, which once glistened in any light, has gone dull. His face sags, seemingly pulled down by the weight of his sins. What in the hell happened to him?
"You see it too, right?" I whisper.
"So it's not just me?" Good asks, "gods. I hoped it was. He looks terrible."
"Do we say something?" I ask.
"No," Good replies, "he's not exactly emotionally stable. We don't want to upset him any more than he already is. Chances are he's training to much like Reaper did."
Reaper, let's see, I've heard that name before. I seem to recall, a world. No, that's not quite it. Think, what was it? I'm assuming I.T. gave me knowledge of the canon plotline. Thiiiiiiiiiink!
I suddenly have a vision, I see so much. Charaters trapped in a void. Tensions between them grow until, war. War breaks out. The last thing I see is Reaper killing an unwinged angel. So that's the canon I guess.
"Anyways," Good continues, "best keep his training to a minimum. He's killing himself training this much."
"Got it," I reply, "I'll handle it mom."
"You too?" Good asks.
I called her mom didn't I? Whoops! What do I say here?
"Sorry?" I apologise unsure if I should.
"Don't apologise," Good smiles, "it's fine. Although, it kinda makes Uncannoned your brother? I dunno, it's complicated. Just, don't worry about it."
End and Good are whispering about something, but I can't hear what. Do they know about what happened to Evil? I clutch my scythe. I didn't really give it much thought until now, but this thing is surprisingly difficult to use. I wish I had a simpler weapon. Something that doesn't require much skill. Cause I clearly didn't inherit the skill Reaper and Death had with a scythe.
"So," I smile, "I've been thinking, when I was training, I found this scythe difficult to use. Do you have anything simpler?"
"I dabble in weapon smithing and enchanting," Good smiles, "I'm sure we can find something. Follow me."
Good leads me and End to a room in the back of the house. "So what exactly you want?" Good asks.
"Something simple," I reply, "a blunt weapon to take out my foes with a satisfying crack."
"I think I've got something you could use," Good smiles, "End, could you give me a hand?"
"Sure," I reply. Good and I enter the room. It contains various enchanted materials, but one in particular catches my eye, an old looking crimson red log that glows with an odd power. Good picks it up.
"What is that?" I ask.
"Well," Good explains, "I.T. has actually destroyed the story twice. This log is something from the first time. In the center of the Heavens, there is the Tree of Life, which keeps the souls of the heroes tethered to the mortal world. Before the heroes were sent into the void, the Tree of Life was killed. This is what sealed their fate. It could be restored, but it would take time. Long story short, this peice of wood has immense devine power. I'm gonna make Uncannoned a baseball bat from it. What I need you to do, is keep an eye on Uncannoned. Make sure he doesn't... End it. Can you do that?"
"Sure," I reply, "he'll be fine. I promise." As long as he isn't gonna kill me that is.
End exits the room Good lead them into. "So," I smile, "while we wait, could you help me train?"
"I just have one question," I reply, "how do you feel about I.T.?"
They seem likeable enough so I guess I can tell them. "When I get my new weapon," I smile, "I'm gonna kill them."
Kill I.T.? Then of course I'll help him! "Of course I'll help you!" I exclaim, "after all you are technically my brother."
"Sure," he smiles, "why the hell not sis?"
Well that went well. Guess this is my family now. Feels good, having people I can turn to.
"Let's train outside," he smiles, "don't wanna mess up mom's place." We head outside. Uncannoned glows with dark magic.
"Ready?" He asks...
