A Waste
She hugs me tightly, wrapping me in her warm embrace. It comforts me, for the first time, I don't want to fade. I want to continue...
I don't deserve to feel this way. I can't afford to feel this way. I don't deserve her love, and I can't afford to have her get attached. She's only going to get hurt when this is all over. When I save my timeline and kill I.T., that's it, I'm ending it. Might end it before then, but I'm not really sure. It's not easy to go on with so much blood on my hands...
She grips me tightly, she rests her head on my shoulder. Dammit why is she so cute and charming? I don't understand why I still feel this way. This isn't what my story is about. I'm going to focus on killing I.T., no matter the cost. Even if I have to limp to Evil's lab to continue my training, I'm going to.
This was a waste of time. I'm only going to hurt her with what I say next. I don't want to hurt her, I don't want to see her in pain, but hurting her now will prevent more pain for her in the future. If I truly love her, ending this here is the only choice.
I gently push her away. "I gotta go," I explain with a small lump in my throat, "I'm sorry." I begin to walk away. I want to look back, but that would only complicate matters. I use my scythe like a cane as I proceed to Evil's lab...
He leaves. Did I move to fast? What did I do wrong? I had to have hurt him in some way. Maybe he's more scarred than I realized. He's in so much pain, he doesn't want it to stop for whatever reason. Did something happen when Good left him unattended? I better ask. I should hurry, as he's still weak and may start flickering.
I take a deep breath. You can do this, it's for Uncannoned. I telaport to Good's house and knock on their door.
"Ah Null!" Good greets me with a smile, "come in."
"I'll only be here for a moment," I explain, "I just have one question, why did you leave Uncannoned unattended?"
"He didn't tell you?" Good asks.
"Tell me what?" I inquire.
"He's broke out multiple times," Good explains, "he's being trained by Evil, has called me mom, and even ended up flickering on his way to I.T.'s place."
"Why was he headed to I.T.'s?"
"Isn't it obvious? You can see the murderous intent in his eyes. He wants to erase I.T."
Erase I.T.? Dammit, I knew he was suspicious. He has to be stopped!
"I think he's headed to Evil's lab," Good explains, "anyways, your aura spiked there. You're not..."
"I am," I interject, "I'm going to stop Uncannoned. He doesn't stand a chance against I.T. like this, and even if he did, I can't let him erase I.T."
"Wait," Good pleads, "he's already emotionally unstable. If he learns I betrayed his trust, that may be the last nail in the coffin. You need to keep this under wraps. OK?"
"Sure," I reply, "I guess. So what do we do?"
"We wait," Good replies, "trust me Null, me and Evil can handle this."
"Fine," I reply, "the date didn't work out anyways."
"Date?" Good asks.
Oh no, I let that slip didn't I?
Good gets a huge smile. "You two are so cute together!" They exclaim.
"He would disagree," I reply, "I hugged him and he ditched me."
"Oh, I see."
"Yeah... Hey, if he says anything about me, let me know, OK?"
"Of course," Good smiles, "now, I've gotta go handle this Edgar thing. See ya later."
"See ya," I reply.
Good goes back inside and continues singing like they've been doing. That was a bombshell, but at least I got some answers...
I arrive at Evil's lab. "Hey man!" Evil exclaims, "how you been?
"We need to continue my training," I reply, "right now..."
