Oneshot [???] Part 1

Not sure if this counts as a one shot it's pretty long and includes multiple "shots"

Anyway I wrote this because TireDull convinced me to and because I wanted to... so take it. Akik but Yandere \_[:)]_/

Please note that this is not canon, this is some other alternative universe to the alternative universe of NTB (lol). And there's obviously going to be a part 2, since this isn't complete.

Extra context: More context: we don't know about Vizor or Dusk, and they haven't killed anyone yet. There is no eclipse here, either.

Meme pushed on, sprinting through the forest as branches snagged his onesie. His legs ached, and he could barely breathe because of how long he had been running, but if he stopped his fate would be worse.

A shadow, like a bird flying overhead, crossed his path as something, or someone, flew through the moon's light. Meme didn't realize until the figure was already standing in front of him, towering over him compared to Meme's short height.

Meme shrieked in fear, his back hitting a tree as he tripped backwards. A painful exhale sounded as the oxygen was knocked from his lungs, and he coughed as he tried to regain his breath.

A black, snakelike tentacle wrapped around his arms and torso, lifting him in the air as he thrashed, attempting to escape the strangling grasp.

Sharp teeth glinted in the moonlight as Meme's pursuer grinned, his eyes glowing yellow and red in the dark.

"I tried warning you," he said, "But of course, you never listened."

"Just let me go!" Meme snapped, "Please, I won't even speak to him again if that's what you want!"

Meme didn't want it to come down to something like that, but he was desperate in the face of his demise.

"Oh, but I don't really trust you to keep up with that promise," he chuckled, "So, sorry. Goodbye, Meme."

As the crushing pressure of the tentacle around his ribs grew, tears spilled from Meme's eyes. He thought back to when he first found him, injured in the woods, alone, confused.

If only he had left him... then he wouldn't be in this predicament....

[About a week earlier]

(Akik/Socks PoV)

Blaza's been giving me the "grand tour" of where I've landed on this planet, Earth, for the past few days. Honestly, I've been enjoying it. And Blaza's quite the optimist, making this as interesting as possible. He's definitely my favorite of this human group.

Maybe he could be the one I tell the truth to. I trust him.

"Socks?"

I blinked. Guess I'd zoned out. Whoops.

Blaza laughed. "Why are you staring at me like that?"

Crap, am I staring?

"O-oh, sorry," I chuckled nervously, "I uh... zoned out or something. Got lost in what I was thinking."

"Is something on your mind?" Blaza asked, "You don't have to tell me if you do, but if you need to talk to someone, you can trust me."

I smiled slightly. "Uh, thanks."

Blaza smiled back. "Come on. I wanna show you the helicopter."

Well. Blew my chance. I'll try to tell him later.

——

The metal from the large helicopter (as Blaza called it) gleamed in the sun's rays as I walked around it, admiring the machine. It reminded me of a spaceship kind of, just with sharp propellers instead of boosters.

"This is... interesting," I said admirably, bringing my hand across the smooth surface.

"Got anything like this on your planet?" Blaza chuckled from the pilot's seat.

"Not really, most of us just fly ourselves," I shrugged.

His eyes widened. "You guys can fly? Can you fly?"

"Uh, yeah," I replied, nervous.

"Can I see?"

"Of-"

"Hey, Blaza!"

I looked over to my left, where the voice came from, to see Laff waving Blaza over from one of the Quonset hangars in the military base.

"Oh, sorry, gotta take care of this," Blaza told me, hopping down from the helicopter, "Wait here, it'll only be a second!"

Blaza ran off before I could reply.

I stared after them as they disappeared into the hangar. Dang it. Missed my chance again.

I didn't even notice my sudden rising anger until I realized my tail was visible, lashing back and forth in irritation. I hid it immediately, looking around quickly to make sure no one saw. Once that was confirmed, I continued my wait.

But my silent thoughts seemed to grow louder.

His friends are a distraction. They must be dealt with if you want to be with him.

I shook my head. No. I wouldn't do that.

You must.

You must.

You must.

I growled, and punched the helicopter. A small dent was left where my hand met the metal.

They will be dealt with.

All of them.

———

(Later)

I watched from a distance as Laff was sorting through some chests. He was oblivious to my presence, as far as I knew, and I would prefer to keep it that way.

For now.

Unfortunately for me, he spotted me before I could approach.

"Oh, hey Socks!" Laff greeted, standing up. "Didn't see you there. Do you need something?"

I shrugged in response. "Maybe."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"I don't know."

Laff looked at me worriedly. "You feeling okay? You seem... off."

"No, I'm perfectly fine," I said.

Besides the fact that I'm about to kill you.

"Okay, then..." Laff stated, slightly suspicious, before returning to what he was doing.

I sighed. "Sorry about this."

Laff turned around, probably to ask what I was sorry about. But my knife was already deep in his chest.

He sputtered, his breathing shaky as he looked at the wound. Suddenly, his form seemed to glitch, from human to... something else.

As he collapsed to the floor, his true form was revealed.

A gray demon with red horns and wings.

I knew him. I hadn't met him formally, but the one who started the whole "angels shouldn't be in charge because demons are generally more powerful" thing would be known pretty well.

His name was Vizor. He was leader of the demons before he had gone through a black hole and never returned. We all thought he was dead.

Now he was, I guess.

"Hey, Da-"

I heard a child's voice from the door, which stopped presumably as I came into view.

I turned. It was Muffin. He was staring in horror, back and forth from me to Vizor, then back to me. His eyes were wide, and tears glistened in them as he realized what had happened.

Was he about to say "Dad" as he came in? Was Laff Muffin's father?

"S-Socks?!" Muffin sputtered in disbelief, "W-what- what did-"

"Believe me when I say it's probably better that he's dead," I said simply.

Muffin's breath quivered, and he ran off sobbing.

I couldn't help but notice two black and orange tails appear and disappear behind the doorway.

——

Muffin raced down the hall, unable to stop his transformation back into his true self. His skin turned a burnt orange, horns grew from his hair, which also turned orange. Red wings sprouted from his back.

By the time he was at the church, he was his normal self. Dusk.

Dusk made his way into the bunker under the church that Vizor had set up to stay hidden while he and Dusk weren't in their human forms.

Finally, he fell to his knees and broke. Tears spilled from his pale yellow eyes, some of them normal and others looked like black ink. He sobbed, and he sobbed.

His father was dead.

Sure, Vizor wasn't the best parent. He had tried to hide his annoyance of Dusk, although Dusk noticed more than half the time. Twilight was always the favorite, but Dusk had killed him in self defense.

But Vizor was all he had. He didn't remember his mother, back on Xero. He had left his home planet when he was just a child.

But Socks. Socks. When Dusk had walked in on his father's murder, Socks had been standing over Vizor's body.

One of his eyes had been yellow with an X pupil, like an angel's. The other was identical to a demon's, black with a red slit pupil.

He was a nephalem.

Vizor had hated nephalems. Not more than angels, but didn't like them nonetheless. He believed their loyalties were split, and didn't trust them.

And now Dusk saw why.

His hands curled into shaking fists. He let out a low growl. His blood boiled with sudden rising anger.

When he got his hands on that murdering nephalem...

Oh, he was going to wish he had never left Xero.
