One week.

One week of forgetting to take his suppressants.

Jeno didn't even notice at first- didn't notice the way the symptoms of his heat were slowly kicking back in. It wasn't until it was too late that he noticed.

It started in ways he didn't think too much about. As he would walk around the house, Bongsik would follow him more adamantly, constantly napping with him and almost seemingly keeping guard of Jeno. He didn't think much of it since his cat had always been extra friendly, especially towards him, although he would admit the fact that his cat kept licking him and giving him kisses on the hand and arm was a bit out of the ordinary, but it was cute so he didn't mind.

He also didn't think about why he found himself scenting out the smell of one of the only alphas he knew, Renjun, who lived in his apartment with him as a roommate. He found himself snatching the older boys blankets and laying on the couch with them while he watched TV, burying his nose into the fabric and inhaling the comforting scent of cedar wood it gave. He would fall asleep that way without meaning to most the time, even missing classes because of it, finding it more comfortable and calming to just sit with the blanket, the warmth and scent enveloping him in safety.

By the third and fourth day, the betas in his life were starting to notice a bit- the change in the omega's scent being a dead give away for all of them- Chenle, Jisung, and Donghyuck all seeming more protective of him on instinct because of it. He noticed the slight change in their behavior and took careful note of it, the way Donghyuck was offering him sweets and meals at every turn, the way Chenle was constantly laying with him and holding him, even the way Jisung had made a small nest of blankets for him to sleep in when he had come over for the evening. Jeno did have to admit that he felt the safest in that little nest, more than pleased as he snuck one of Renjun's blankets into his room and curled up.

It wasn't until the sixth day that he started to think about it and realized what was wrong. He woke up feeling warmer than normal, and also with the abnormal desire to stay in bed and cuddle with someone all day. He normally wasn't so clingy, but today was different. He got up and made his way carefully down the stairs, catching a whiff of a familiar cedar scent, seemingly stronger than ever, and following it to the kitchen where Renjun stood making some lunch. The older immediately looked up when the younger came in, concern lacing his expression as he could smell the oncoming heat from where he stood.

"Jeno, are you alright?" He asked, pushing down the alpha instinct to practically jump the omega. Jeno whined.

"I forgot to take my suppressants." Jeno frowned and ran a hand through his hair, finally realizing his mistake and letting out another whine as he rushed towards the alpha. Renjun caught him and hushed him a bit, noticing how Jeno immediately went to scenting his neck and feeling the boys arms wrap around him.

"It's alright Jeno, it's okay. Let's get you to the couch and I'll call up Hyuckie, okay?" Jeno nodded a bit as Renjun carefully lead him to the couch. He sat down with him, the younger laying down with his head and part of his upper body in the olders lap. Renjun ran a hand through the boys hair as he reached for the phone on the table beside the couch, picking it up and calling Donghyuck.

"Hello?"

"Hey Hyuck-"

"Oh good Renjun its you, I wanted to ask, is Jeno feeling alright? He smelled different the other day but I couldn't quite put my finger on it..." Renjun chuckled.

"That's what I'm calling you about actually. I need you to come over quick, and bring Jaemin too, I think-"

"Jaemin!?" Jeno shot up from where he lay, pleading gaze falling on the phone and he reached towards it, but Renjun shook his head 'no' and Jeno laid back down somberly.

"I can do that, actually. I think his heat is done, Mark just told me that it seemed to have passed." Renjun hummed.

"That's good. Well, be quick, Jeno's awfully needy right now and, you know, I've never been around an omega in heat for a long period of time..." Donghyuck chuckled through the phone.

"alright, hang in there. We're on our way. Keep him hydrated and try to get him to his bed if you can. I'm sure he's already made a bit of a nest if Jisung didn't the other day."

With that they ended the call and Renjun gazed down at the younger boy in his lap. Jeno had started to sweat, his bangs already sticking to his head a bit.

"Hey, let's get you upstairs to your room real quick, okay?" Jeno nodded and sat up slowly. He felt a bit dizzy as Renjun helped him stand up, and he barely noticed as he was coaxed carefully up the stairs and to his room. The older laid him down gently on his bed, where- just as Donghyuck had said a -small nest of sorts was already made out of various blankets, pillows, cushions and towels. Jeno curled up and whined, nuzzling his head into some of the blankets and gazing up at Renjun with glossy eyes. The older sighed and nodded, reaching down to move the boy's bangs out of his face.

"I know baby its okay. Donghyuck will be here soon, and he's bringing Jaemin too." Jeno lit up excitedly, not registering the rest of Renjun's sentence as he explained that he was gonna go and get him some water.

Jaemin and Jeno were mates against all odds- they were both omegas, so while their relationship wasn't something completely unheard of it was rather unusual. Due to this, Jeno chose to use suppressants and other medicine to avoid the possibility of needing an alpha's knot. Jaemin however, was told by his doctor that for some reason he was unable to take suppressants, and that even if he did they wouldn't do muck of anything. So, Donghyuck, after having a good talk with his mate Mark, offered for him to get knotted by Mark anytime he needed, and after a lot of discussion, rules, and agreements, Jaemin accepted.

Hence why once a month Jaemin would go over to Donghyuck and Mark's place and get taken care of until his heat passed. Normally, Jeno would be there too with him, but this week he had some important tests in some of his classes so he had decided to stay home instead.

But on the other hand, Jeno had only ever experienced his heat fully once, and the one time he did was before he met Jaemin. He had just spent it with Donghyuck, Chenle, and Jisung coaxing him through it, him begging them to not let him get knotted once he fully entered his heat. They had kept their promise, but since he almost never went through his heat in full force, this time was going to be a bitch.

Before Jeno knew it, he heard the doorbell ring downstairs and also heard the soft mumble of voices before rushed footsteps made their way to his room.

"Jeno?" Donghyuck called hesitantly as he stepped into the room. Jeno whined when the boys sweet berry scent hit him, reaching out for the boy who rushed forward. "Oh Jeno baby it's alright. It's okay I've got you." Jeno clung to the beta and tried to scent him before reeling away when his nose caught another scent and he looked towards the door.

"Jaemin!" He called, his voice desperate and pleading. The boy in the doorway rushed over and took hold of the other omega on the bed, petting his hair softly.

"Shhh it's alright Jeno. Hyuckie and I are gonna take care of you, okay?" Jeno whined some more as he buried his nose into Jaemin's neck, inhaling his coffee scent gladly and melting into him. "I missed you baby." The younger whispered as he kissed the other on the top of the head before moving them to lay down together comfortably.

"I missed you too. So so much, I should've just come over, I spent half my classed this week on the couch anyways." Jeno whined. Jaemin chuckled a bit and Donghyuck cooed from where he stood busily setting things up in the room to help Jeno through his heat as smoothly as possible. Jeno watched him carefully for a bit before going back to snuggling into Jaemin's chest.

"That's alright baby, Mark treated me just as kindly as he always does." Jaemin said with a hum and Jeno shifted a bit as an uncomfortable burning heat crept through his body. His scent shifted a bit again and all three of the others could sense it- I say all three because Renjun came hesitantly into the room just then.

"Uh D-Donghyuck," Renjun started, cursing himself internally for stuttering, but it was pretty difficult to keep his composure with Jeno looking like he did, and with the scent that filled the air. Having never been around an omega during their heat, Renjun was very bad at controlling his pheromones, his cedar scent filling the room quickly as well and melding with Jeno's lavender one nicely. Jeno looked up and groaned as he fought every instinct to surge towards the alpha.

"What is it Renjun?" Donghyuck asked as calmly as he could, trying not to let his slight frustration show. Renjun shouldn't have come in without asking, but to be fair how was he to know that?

"I-I just wanted to know if I should stick around to help him or if I should just go." He asked quickly, taking a step back towards the door. Donghyuck looked over to Jaemin who looked back with an equally as clueless look before turning his head back down to look at Jeno.

"Jeno, do you want Injun to stay and help?" Jeno whined and shook his head as a 'no' quickly.

"Want his hoodie." Jeno whispered simply, referring to the yellow hoodie Renjun had on that was sure to reek of alpha pheromones by now. Jaemin looked up to Renjun who nodded and hurriedly took off his hoodie, walking over to hand it to Jeno. Donghyuck intercepted him, taking the hoodie with a small growl and passing it over to the omegas for him before pushing Renjun towards the door gently.

"Go talk to Chenji about your little problem or something, we can all smell the tension between you three." Donghyuck said a bit harshly before slamming the door on him and going back to tending to the room and the couple in it.

"You're gonna need to apologize later." Jaemin warned gently. He had helped Jeno into the hoodie and the older was now resting his head against his chest peacefully, temporarily sated by the sweatshirt. Donghyuck scoffed.

"No I won't, every alpha knows not to go near an omega during their heat, whether you've been around one or not, its just proper manners! Unless the omega wants you of course." Jaemin chuckled a bit at the older who finished arranging things around the room and went over to the bed where they laid comfortably in the nest that still smelled a hint like Jisung. Donghyuck made a mental note to thank the maknae later.

"Alright angels, there's water here on the bedside table, and a bottle of some pheromone-scented lube I found the other day while I was out? Cuz you never know. It says its honey scented so have fun with that, and then I also put Jeno's phone here, and there's a jacket of mine here that I brought over along with a blanket that Chenji sometimes slept with if you want that, I put a jar of gummy bears here cuz I know how much of a craving for sweets you two get. I'll still be here, I'll be downstairs watching TV, but you can be as loud as you want, text or holler if you need anything, and uh- oh! I almost forgot, my laptop is right here and its also charged so if you wanna watch Netflix or something there's that." Donghyuck finally finished and let out a long breath, Jaemin laughing a bit at him with a smile.

"You didn't have to do all of this Hyuckie I'm sure we'll be alright but thank you." Donghyuck smiled and bent down, giving each of them a kiss on the forehead, Jeno leaning into it a bit more than Jaemin did, the older also grabbing at his shirt gently.

"Hyuckie won't you stay with us?" Jeno asked softly with a tiny pout forming on his face. Jaemin smiled from beside him. He knew how close Hyuck and Jeno were, and he had always respected and adored the beta for how much he cared about the boy. Sometimes it was even to the point where it almost felt like Donghyuck was in the relationship too.

Although, Jaemin had to admit, he wouldn't be against that.

"Aw, baby if you want me to stay I can, I just figured you and Nana would want some alone time." Jeno looked over at Jaemin.

"Can he stay?" He asked softly, wanting to make sure Jaemin wouldn't mind if the beta joined them. Jaemin nodded with a smile and looked up at Donghyuck slyly.

"Of course he can- if he wants to." The beta looked between the two omega's before smiling sweetly and nodding.

"Alright, I'll stay, but only because you two are irresistible."

Renjun pouted a bit as he took a seat on the familiar couch.

"You know he didn't mean to be rude. When beta instincts kick in to keep an alpha from an omega, they're strong. Especially when it comes to those two." Chenle explained as he sat down beside him and turned on the TV. Jisung nodded from his other side.

"With the amount of times a random alpha has tried to get a hold of Jeno and Donghyuck has stopped them, one might mistake them for mates." Jisung said as he played a random game on his phone on the other side of Renjun. The eldest hummed a bit and tried to focus on the TV as some random reality show played, but as he sat with the two betas, vivid memories of how Jeno had looked and smelled as he laid on that bed came back to him, and (blame Donghyuck for this one) he had a hard time not imagining the two on either side of him looking even better than that.

He heard the TV drone on in the background, but suddenly felt Chenle moving beside him, getting off the couch to instead take a seat on his lap. He saw Jisung put down his phone beside him and swallowed thickly.

"You know, if it really left you that bothered, me and Jisung could help." Chenle suggested as he wrapped his arms around the alphas neck.

And honestly, Donghyuck's teasing aside, nothing was stopping him from saying-

"I-I think I'd like that."
