STORY

『•NOMADS•』is a Warrior Cats inspired command game with a cyberpunk twist and an interactive storyline!

It takes place in a futuristic post-apocalypse world, in a city surrounded by a dome that shields them from the radiation seeping from the toxic wasteland.

And you all play nomads; the distant survivors of kittypets, rogues and warriors brought the city by humans-or Walkers. These cats are vicious and battle-hungry, desperately trying to make it to the next simulated sunrise.

But with the inane ramblings of recently deceased tomcat touched by visions of Ancestors spreading across the city like wildfire, nomads everywhere are wondering...is this really all there could be?

What happens next is up you you, player.





FUNCTIONS

TIME and SEASONS

One Moon is a day-or night, as nomads are nocturnal. Four Moons is a Change in seasons.

Bloom, in which the weather is rainy and the warmth is returning. The flora is emerging from its slumber and kits are starting to be born. There is a +1 bonus to all foraging and hunting.

Scorch, in which the weather becomes unbearably hot and the city grows humid. Too much sunlight makes the city dangerous. There is a +1 bonus to all foraging and hunting.

Wilt, in which the weather starts getting chilly and the fauxwinds start blowing. Substances are becoming sparse and less kits are being born. There is a +0 bonus to all foraging and hunting.

Freeze, in which the weather is now frigid and survival is harder than ever. There is little food and the slightest mistake could be the end. There is a -1 penalty for all foraging and hunting.


WEATHER

The weather changes moon-to-moon and it differs for each territory! Weather like rain, wind, sunshine and clouds will be common.

Weather in Firefly City is simulated! It's rare that an accident will ever happen.

...until the Weather Simulator broke.


WOUNDS and SICKNESS

With certain weather and disasters, comes the chance for sickness. Even, the smallest of coughs can become fatal and spread amongst felidae rampantly.

It is similarly so for injuries. In this concrete jungle, it would be wise to watch your step. Just one wrong move can be all it takes to end it all.

BREEDING and KITTING

Life will still find a way despite it all. When a molly becomes pregnant, she will carry them for four moons, then give birth in the next one.

A molly does not need a mate to carry.

It's common for mollies to abandon their litters in times of struggle. What happens to those kits? Who knows...



TERRITORY
Firefly City is a metropolis for felidaekind, sprawling city with potential that sprawls in four major directions, with the exception of the prime Center of the city and the Wastelands on the outskirts.

Each territory has its own positives and negatives.

Herein Firefly City lies an impressive sprawling garden which grows plants from this new world and the old ones. The foliage offers protection from the elements and area, however it is a poor hunting area.

Herein the Northern of Firefly City lies developing rural farmlands that produce agriculture. The cultivation of crops brings a grand amount of prey and rare encounters from Walkers and the elements, however being so close to the Wastelands brings in an abnormal danger...

Herein the Eastern of Firefly City lies a sprawling urban cityspace that houses the impoverished and undesirable Walkers. The presence of twolegs brings more viable food, however it is incredibly dangerous.

Herein the Southern of Firefly City lies a towering, neon cosmopolitan quarter that is primarily commercial with elite housing for affluent Walkers. The notoriety of the area brings protection from the elements and danger, however it is a poor hunting area.

Herein the Eastern of Firefly City lies a dense industrial jungle for the sole purpose of industrial development. The massive blocks of warehouses, depots and mountains of cargo containers are daunting for any weak felidae.

SKILLS

In order to survive in this city, felidae have long forgotten the skills of the old world. Instead, they carved out new skills.

However, there are whispers of felidaes learning strange and new skills. These cats always claim the same thing : "It was shown to me in a dream."

Skills can be leveled up by self-training or being trained by another.

alliance
The ability to form groups with other felidae. Discovered by Bee.

It is unheard of for felidae to stick so closely together and even to take care of one another. However, the felidae in Alliances are different. They look after one another, sharing territory and resources. Each differs with it's laws, temperaments and traditions as every Head is different.

This Ability can be shared.

healing
The ability to treat one's or another's wounds. Discovered by Thresk.

The felidae from so many moons ago were said to be able to heal their wounds and sickness from merely absorbing the life force from the plants around them. However, that couldn't be farther from the truth. The herbs and methods may have changed, but the tradition is still the same.

This Ability can be shared.

prophecy
The act of receiving visions and omens of the future. Discovered by Thresk.

An Ability gifted directly from Felis. An unnatural power to see into the future. At the cost of intense yet momentary pain, one can receive omens of what is to come or visions of memories from the past. Such an ability makes a felidae become a living lifeline for the Ancestors. But, at what cost...

This Ability is gained by blood.



EVOLUTION

Felidae are not flawless. But, by Felis' divine paw...they can be.

The nomads of the city have the opportunity to further themselves in terms of appearance and power. It is called Evolution.

For an unevolved felidae, their skills will reach their maximum at Level 5.

For an evolved felidae, they will now reach maximum at Level 10.

Their energy will also increase depending on their subspecies.

Once fully evolved and their skills are at maximum, a felidae has a chance to evolve into something new.


SPECIES

The felidae of this city can be sorted into 4 different categories, all with their own weakness and strengths.

CROW

Crows are the remnants of what would be closest to a pre-dome cat, however time and survival have made them larger than ever.

Crows come in normal fur shades, textures and patterns. After years upon years of a large genetic pool of cats mixing, purebreds are genetically improbable.

Crows have 3 energy, then 4 after evolution.

Crows can breed.

A Crow evolves into a Raptor.

RAPTOR

Raptors are the evolution of Crows, divinity improving nature's nearly perfect blueprint. Crows are made to survive, then Raptors were made to dominate.

When Raptors' evolve their fur changes shade and their patterns become dramatic and characteristic to each felidae.. They also grow larger or taller, with abnormal claws and fang sizes.

Raptors have 4 energy.

Raptors can breed.

Their distinctive mark is their glowing eyes.
