Y/N's P.O.V (Lastation's Basilicom)

After the events of the beach had happened, we returned to the Basilicom at night. Noire went to her room while I stared under the starry sky. I can't stop thinking about the time Noire tried to give me a kiss. Is it because I gave her something valuable? Whatever it is, I definitely won't ever get another chance like that again.

Y/N: (I should go back inside...)

I turned around to see Shadow leaning his back on a glass pane.

Y/N: What are you doing here?

Shadow: It's time.

Y/N: You know... this whole time... you've never made any sense. Can't you speak like a normal person would and get straight to the point?

Shadow: ...

Y/N: Hello? Geez, you're weird.

He pointed a finger at me and appeared 4 skeloton wolves. I was taken by surprise. I didn't have my weapon with me now. Shadow disappeared using his mantel and the wolves jumped at me at once.

I slide pass through them and closed the balcony door. I ran through the hallway to Noire's room and barged in  without knocking. I saw Noire in only her undergarments and she blushed like mad.

Noire: P-P-Pervert!

I looked away as my face turned red. But I just remembered the wolves were still chasing me. I avoided Noire's pillow which she threw at me at full force which made the door opened and the wolves already appeared right in front of the door.

Y/N: Noire! Be careful!

Noire: I know that you perv!

She transformed to Black Heart and used Lace Ribbon Dance on one of the wolves. It disappeared into crystals but the 3 other were still focused at me as if Noire isn't even there. One jumped at me but got slashed as I barely took a Gear Blade and used it against it. 2 more jumped at me. I took out the other Gear Blade and threw both of them at the airborne wolves. Noire finished the 3 of them at once in one single swoop.

Noire (HDD): And stay dead!

Y/N: Nice job, Noire.

Noire (HDD): What else were you expecting?

She sticks out her chest with pride. I mean she finished them all with one attack.

Noire (HDD): How did those things get here? Is this somehow related to the subway incident?

Y/N: I don't know...

I still can't believe Shadow would do such a thing. There must be a reason why he would attack me.

Y/N: For now... let's go to bed.

Noire blushed a bit when I said it.

Noire (HDD): O-Okay, but cover yourself with the blanket. I-I need to change first.

Y/N: Alright.

I picked up the Gear Blades and putted it in the sheath near the table before going onto bed. I covered my head under the blanket as told by Noire. I could hear she reverted back and opened the closet. Although it was a small sound, I could hear the sounds of Noire changing into her pajamas. It made me blush a bit and a little bit excited.

Y/N: (Dammit! I usually sleep before she changes. Curse my teenager mind.)

All the rustling had ended. Noire carefully slid into the bed trying to avoid touching me. Once she was comfy, Noire closed the light using a monitor she summoned.

It was quiet. I couldn't sleep, not like this. I also couldn't tell whether she was asleep. But I didn't plan on sleeping. I wanted to learn a little bit more about the swords. So I planned on sneaking out when Noire's asleep to avoid involving her into this.

Timeskip

It had struck midnight. I'm pretty sure by now, Noire is asleep. I slowly made my way off the bed. Noire moved a bit with every movement I do. It also looks like she's having a nightmare.

I got myself out of the bed and equipped my battle clothes which was the one Noire gave me, and my weapon. When I was about to go out, Noire grabbed my hand and started saying things. She was half asleep but like I said before maybe she's having a nightmare.

Noire: Y/N... don't... go...

I felt sorry for Noire. I gripped her hand softly and whispered a few words.

Y/N: I'm not going anywhere. So, sweet dreams.

I placed her hand back on the bed and kissed her on the forehead. She smiled a little almost like she's seeing all of this. I sneaked out of the Basilicom and who I saw in front of me was not who I was expecting.

Grandvill: I knew you'll sneak out of the Basilicom.

Y/N: What are you gonna do about it?

Grandvill: Nothing. In fact, allow me to assist you.

Y/N: What are you psychic?

Grandvill: Are you coming or not?

I just smiled at Grandvill. I hop on his back and he flew at a great speed.

Grandvill: Where to?

Y/N: Lowee should be a good.

Noire's P.O.V (Noire's dream)

Noire: Y/N! Don't go!

Y/N: I'm not going anywhere my cute goddess.

Noire: C-Cute?! W-Who you calling cute?!

Y/N pulled me in for a hug. He smells so nice it's making my head go blank.

Y/N: Noire. I can't wait any longer.

Noire: Y-You can't...

But he ignored me and threw me to the bed. I fell down just submitting to his actions. He got on the bed and removed his shirt.

Noire: Baka...You don't have to be so aggressive. And we shouldn't do this. People in the Basilicom might hear us.

Y/N: Let them be. All I can think of now is you.

I blushed like crazy. Since when did Y/N become like this? He's giving out such an alluring aura. I can't say or do anything at this point. He's slowly undoing my clothes and...

Uni: Onee-chan! Hurry and wake up! It's nearly 12 in the afternoon!

My dreamland was on hold and I slowly returned back to reality.

Noire: Uh... Uni? Good morning.

Uni: It's not morning anymore.

Noire: Eh?!

I look at the clock beside me and it pointed at 1205. I've never woke up this late before. It must be because of that dream. I turned around to see whether Y/N was up or not.

Uni: Do you know where Y/N went?

Noire: Isn't he somewhere in the Basilicom?

Uni just shook her head. He wouldn't go out without telling me. I felt worried.

Noire: I'll go find him right away.

Uni: How about taking a bath first?

I blushed a bit. I've completely forgotten about it. All I can think of now is Y/N.

Noire: (That baka. How did he manage to make me think about him until I forgot about my daily routine?)

I got out of the bed, stretched, and headed for the bathroom.

Timeskip (Lowee)

It wasn't long for me to reach Lowee following the sky but as expected from the Land of White Serenity, it was cold.

Noire (HDD): Brr... (I should have brought a jacket.)

Blanc: Noire? What are you doing here?

I turned around to see Blanc. It's quite rare to see Blanc outside not reading her book.

Noire: I'm looking for Y/N. He left the Basilicom in the night. Kei told me he was heading to Lowee along with Grandvill.

Blanc: I didn't know Y/N entered Lowee. But maybe Mina knows something.

Lowee's Oracle is my only hope. It's not easy to find someone in Lowee especially in this cold.

Grandvill: Sorry to bother you two. But Y/N asked me to not let anyone involve in his affairs.

On our right, Grandvill appeared.

Noire: Grandvill? What do you mean?

Grandvill: Exactly like I said. Y/N asks you to not intervene with his doings.

Blanc: Why?

Grandvill: I asked him that but he never answered.

Noire: I don't care. Just tell me where he is.

He just shook his head denying my request.

Noire: If you're not going to spill any beans... I'll make you!

I materialised my rapier and pointed it at him.

Grandvill: If you'll be so kind to tell me the reason why you need to find Y/N so badly then I'll consider telling you about Y/N's whereabouts.

I lowered my sword. He asked a good question. I don't have a real reason on why I'm looking for him. But my heart is telling me that I should find him.

Noire: I need to find him. If anything happens to him... I won't be able to forgive myself

Grandvill: Y/N said the same thing too. That's the reason why he wanted to do this alone. If anything happened to you or anyone who assisted him he'll won't be able to forgive himself. It's almost like fate connected the both of you.

I blushed a bit at Grandvill's word. Y/N doesn't want to see me hurt. But he doesn't know that every time I see him hurt I feel bad for myself because I couldn't do anything at that time.

Grandvill: Right now, I'm not in the mood to fight the goddess of Lastation. So I'll tell you where Y/N is.

Noire: Really?

Grandvill: It's-

Blanc: Noire. I called Mina and she said Y/N had went to Leanbox.

The poor Grandvill just look depressed. I thanked Blanc, transformed and flew to Leanbox not minding the cold wind grazing my skin.

Grandvill: Why did you do that? I was about to tell her.

Blanc: You took too long.

Y/N's P.O.V

(Leanbox)

<screech>

I parked the bike I rented at Lowee near an inn in Leanbox. I we t out to buy some snacks before going into a dungeon I found. I also went to Lowee to do some research without anyone disturbing. And from the information I got, Leanbox holds a dungeon where the previous wielder died. It may look like a pointless investigation but this is my only lead.

The book says the dungeon only appears in the night. I'm preparing myself just in case there might be strong monsters. It maybe easier if I bring Noire along but after knowing Phantom Virus is after her, I can't risk it. I made my final preparations as it already struck midnight.

<vroom>

Timeskip (Forgotten City)

I hack and slash my way through the monsters whilst driving the bike. I held Demon on my left hand while my other was for accelerating the bike. It had an ominous vibe and the buildings here are in ruins. Thanks to this bike which has been running for 300 km/h, I've already made it to my destination.

Y/N: That's weird. This is the only building that looks like in good comdition.

It looked like an apartment back in Japan. At the same time, I was slashed from behind. Luckily, my reflexes was fast enough to block him with Tempest. But the impact made me fly to the roof. Just by that alone, whoever or whatever attacked me had strength rivaling Grandvill's.

I landed on my two feet and the bastard came up too. He had black hair, red eyes, black and red shirt, black jeans and shoes. He also had a red torn scarf and a chain on his belt area to his left.

Y/N: Alright, who told you to attack me from behind?

???: I can't believe it...

I gripped Demon and Tempest firmly.

???: After eons, I wouldn't have thought I'll meet you again.

Y/N: Sorry but have we met?

???: No... but I know all too well about that sword you're carrying.

Y/N: Wait! You can't be the hero who joined the Quartet?!

Rizer: Indeed I am. As you might already know, my name is Rizer. And that sword you carry must be exorcise.

Y/N: What do you mean? But more importantly how are you still alive after eons?

Rizer: I'll explain everything to you from the start. I was a hero in the Quartet. When I was walking pass Virtue Forest, I saw a wounded old man. As a hero, I saved the man's life. I didn't want anything in return but the man insisted on giving me those blades you now carry. I used it for years and had founded all of its secret. But as time passed on, and on one fateful night in a ruin... The sword shone in a dark aura and stabbed me! Before I perished I used all of what's left of my strength to destroy it before it could harm anyone else. But my power could only seal it in a chest. I died but not until I swear to exorcise the sword if the seal were to break.

Y/N: So you're a ghost?

Rizer: Yes. Now I have answered your questions. It's your turn. Will you hand over those swords?

If what he said is true then I don't have a choice. I took a step and felt an aura resonating from the swords. For some weird reason I felt scared. Scared of him. I took a step back and made a battle stance.

Rizer: Are you going to rebel me?

Y/N: I don't have a solid reason but something tells me I can't buy your story.

Rizer: I didn't want to fight you. But you leave me no choice!

He took out 2 blade with chains attached to them. He swinged it at my direction. I ducked and made my move.

Y/N: Plasma Slash!

The shock wave went to him and he blocked it with one of his blade.

Y/N: It's over.

Rizer: Just to let you know... a ghost is immune to any status ailments.

Y/N: You've got to be kidding me.

He swinged his blade in a barrage. This is bad. I can't get in range and he's immune to paralysis. I went inside the building and used it to my advantage but he did something unimaginable. With one normal slice, Rizer sliced the building in half horizontally.

Y/N: As expected from a legendary hero. If I want to win, I need to go all out.

I formed Tempest and Demon together and sliced and incoming debris with ease. But behind that debris was Rizer charging at me. I blocked it but once more I was sent flying. I used the debris as platforms and took out Demolition. He did the same and the both of us clashed once more.

Jumping from platform to platform and clashing was pretty much all we did. Despite forming both Tempest and Demon, he's fending off my attacks with ease.

Y/N: I'll just have to kick it up a notch.

Rizer: I won't let that happen!

But he was too late. I formed the 3rd piece and felt strength flowing into me. I countered his slash but it wasn't enough to knock him back. I took out one more Demolition and jumped further away.

Rizer: Why won't you give up already?! Even if you could beat me you'll die anyways!

Y/N: Like I care!

Rizer: Then I'll make my sword be the end of you!

He threw his chained sword but I jumped onto another platform. Rizer pulled himself to the platform but with the 4th piece fused, I jumped towards him confidently. He pulled the platform my way making it a shield. I easily sliced it in half but I fell into his trap. He used the sliced platform to squeeze me in between.

I threw the incomplete Machina in the air and took out the Gear Blades. I stabbed the swords one in each rock just before I was smashed. There was a small gap. Small enough for me to not be crushed thanks to the swords which was preventing it from squashing me.

Y/N: That was too close for comfort.

Rizer: Ceh...

I jumped down the gap leaving my weapons. Rizer took out his chained blade from the debris.

Rizer: What is he...

The flying Machina hits the Gear Blades making it fall to my direction. I took Machina and a Gear Blade fusing it. After that, I took the other Gear Blade and landed on a small building. The fall made my legs felt a little pain and I fell on one knee. Rizer landed on a slightly taller building and he looked down on me.

Rizer: I'm surprised at how skilled you are. If you were to join the Quartet I'm sure they'll let you join.

Y/N: Am I supposed to be flattered?

Rizer: I'll end it right now so prepare yourself!

Y/N: I'm going all out too!

I finally fused the final piece and felt a huge surge of energy flowing into me. As I prepared for one of his attacks...

<COUGH>

I looked at my hand and what I saw was blood. Lots of them. My vision was also getting a little hazy. I shook my head clearing my vision a bit.

Rizer: I see... It looks like you haven't mastered it yet.

Y/N: What do you mean?

Rizer: Have you just gotten that blade? When you fuse all the swords together it will give a huge amount of power, but in exchange it will put a big strain on your body. A normal human would die instantly because of it.

I was careless. I tried to take out one piece but he stopped me from doing so. I dodged his attack but after that I coughed out some more blood.

Rizer: I was worried someone like you might have mastered Machina like I did. But since you have not... I'll make use of it!

He sent out a barrage of attacks. I couldn't dodge them in this condition.
Y/N: S***!

But the chained swords were deflected. In front of me was a familiar figure. She had long white hair and a black turtleneck leotard.

Noire (HDD): Are you okay Y/N?

Y/N: How and why?

Noire (HDD): You owe me an apology right after this.

Rizer: How unexpected. The goddess of Lastation.

Noire (HDD): You'll pay for what you have done to Y/N!

Rizer: I have no intention on fighting you.

Noire (HDD): You think after satisfyingly beating Y/N up I'll let you go. You must have some kind of twisted mind.

Rizer: Let me tell you something he hasn't. A secret Y/N kept from you.

Y/N: Rizer, NO!

I didn't want to tell Noire about the fact I could die if I beaten him.

Y/N: Noire you don't need to know. It's not important.

Noire (HDD): Then why are you stopping me? Tell me, Rizer.

Rizer: Very well. Did Y/N ever tell you-

Y/N: ENOUGH!

Rizer: If he kept on using that sword he will one day die?

Noire looked terrified. I wanted to comfort her but I couldn't look at her in the eyes.

Noire (HDD): Is this true?

I couldn't say anything. I don't want to hurt her anymore.

Noire (HDD): If that's the case why didn't you say something or at least throw it away?!

Y/N: I can't...

Noire (HDD): Why?

Y/N: I just can't! Something about his story is wrong!

Rizer: Lady Noire... The curse of the blade has taken over his mind. If you want to save him, join forces with me.

Y/N: I'M NOT CRAZY I'M TELLING YOU!

Noire (HDD): Sorry Y/N... But I don't have a choice. <sob> I don't... want... to lose you...

It's my first time seeing her cry. The proud and tsundere Noire is... crying.

Y/N: Noire... I...

There was a silence for a few seconds. Even Rizer is quietly watching this.

Y/N: But I won't stop here. Forgive me Noire, but if you'll fight me... I won't hold back!

Noire looked at me in shock. Her eyes teared up some more before she rubbed it away.

Noire (HDD): You baka... Rizer let's finish this...

Rizer nodded. I made a battle stance along with Noire and Rizer. I felt deeply hurt. I never wanted to fight Noire. I don't want to fight her. But I can't give up here. My resolve would have been for nothing!

Rizer made the first move by throwing his chained blade at me. I decided to keep Machina in its complete self despite the strain in my body. I blocked the both of them and Noire came at me in full speed.

Noire (HDD): Tornado Chain!

Y/N: Urgh...

I countered her sword cancelling her skill. But Rizer made a follow up by slashing me at the leg and front. The wound was big but I could still move. The both of them kept slashing in sync. It's almost as if they were a team for years. I was knocked back when Rizer and Noire combined their slash. I was stopped by the wall and felt a huge impact behind me. I fell down using Machina as a stick to support me.

Y/N: <pant> <pant> <pant>

Noire: It's over Y/N.

I closed my eyes but it felt like time stopped. I opened my eyes and saw a memory of Rizer's death. And at this time I heard a little girl's voice.

Girl: I'm scared... I'm scared...

Y/N: Who's there?

Girl: I don't want to be forgotten... I don't want to be useless...

It was at this time I saw a memory of Rizer. He lost a fight with a monster.

Rizer: Dammit! I lost! Even with this weapon...

Quartet member 1: You should change your weapon.

Quartet member 2: Yeah! You've been using that for a year.

Rizer: Maybe I will...

After that, I saw a memory of the creator who looked exactly like Shadow.

Shadow: This sword is great and all  but maybe I can make something better.

He left all the pieces in a shed. During the night he was killed in his sleep.

I understand now. It wasn't because this thing is a cursed weapon. It's because it was scared of being alone. Time reverted back to normal and I felt a boost of strength. I parried Rizer's blade and he looked shock. I used Plasma Storm to make him jump back which he did.

Y/N: I understand now... it was not blade's fault. It's yours!

Noire (HDD): What do you mean?

Y/N: I saw everything. You wished to change your weapon...

Rizer: Yeah, so what? That doesn't change the fact it's a cursed weapon.

Y/N: It's not cursed! It's alive!

Rizer: How can a weapon be alive?

Y/N: Even I'm surprised. But that's the truth. It was scared of being alone and useless. I may not know what it feels like to be useless but from what I know, it's not a good feeling.

Noire (HDD): ...

Rizer: Whatever you say won't change my mind. I'll destroy that sword so nobody else have to suffer!

Noire (HDD): But it changed mine...

Both me and Rizer looked at Noire. She was about to break into tears again.

Noire (HDD): From my adventures with Y/N, I know he's saying the truth. And I know what it feels like to be alone and useless. After Y/N came into this world, I kept on depending on him in most of the fights. Even so, I want to get stronger! I don't want to stand behind not being able to anything!

She came closer to my side and gave me a hug.

Noire (HDD): Another reason I need to get stronger is so I can protect Y/N. I don't want to be protected like a princess who keeps on being kidnapped. I'll fight to my full extent.

<transform>

Noire (Next): Witness the strength of the next generation CPU!

She transformed again. But this time she wore a body suit in blue and black. She had a scouter, armour for her leg and arms and wings that emitted some sort of glittering blue light.

Noire (Next): Sorry for everything I have done to you Y/N.

Y/N: And you said I was the one who owed you an apology.

I flashed a smile at her. She teared up a bit but she returned the smile with one of her warm smile.

Noire (Next): So, Y/N... how shall we do this?

Y/N: I have an idea. Let's finish him in one go.

Rizer: Not unless I'll finish you first. Oblivious Ark!

He swinged his chained sword in the air in a circle making some sort of black hole. But Noire held my hand.

Noire (Next): Ready?

Y/N: You bet I am!

She flew into the air at a high speed. She threw me towards Rizer and I closed my eyes...

Y/N: (I promise I'll be different from them. So give me your strength Machina!)

Noire (Next): Infinite Slash!

Y/N: Transcendent Slash!

I slashed Rizer once.

Rizer: Is that it? Wait... what?!

Machina defused itself and surrounded him. I glowed in a F/C aura and went for a sword at blinding speed. Noire made a slash before I did and when she was done, I slashed him and went to take another sword. I left the sword at that location and slashed him again. Noire followed my attack and we continued to do this with increasing speed.

When a certain amount of slashes was done, my previous slash made 6 afterimage of me each for a single sword. Noire turned her sword into Tornado Sword. My afterimages striked in sync. Followed by Noire's powerful slash. My afterimages flew to the sky and formed Machina and I appered wielding it.

Y/N: This is your end!

I striked him from above and I landed with all the 6 swords stuck surrounding me. I looked above to see Rizer disappearing.

Rizer: I can't believe it... I thought I knew everything about it. But now I know... it's in good hands...

And with that he disappeared.

Y/N: So long... hero...

I blacked out.

Noire's P.O.V

Noire: Y/N! Y/N! Wake up!

I reverted back and saw Y/N blacked out. He did blacked out in some of the fights but this was different. His breathing is getting slower. I'm scared he might...

Die...

And that's a wrap. For starters, sorry if this was terribly made because once again I wanted to publish this as soon as possible. Because I might go somewhere with no internet for quite the long time. Oh, the horror!

Just to let you know Transcendent Slash is the official name for Omnislash, in this book. So sorry for the confusion. I wanted to use a rare word for it. But if you don't like it then I'm sorry but that's not going to change.

In the next chapter, I wonder what will happen to you? You think I'll make it like some cliché scene. Maybe...
