"C-Corrin that is wonderful!" He smiled brightly at her. "So- why are you crying?" He pulled her closely into his embrace.
"It was all my fault you got banished and had to suffer all those years of training." She said holding him close.
"Hey that's not true. It was my idea to sneak out and besides we're here together now aren't we?" He held her a bit tighter and faintly smiled. "I mean all that training and all of those years I was thinking of you and the day we'd meet again. It was worth it." He held back a tear.
"Silas... you did all of that to see me again, whereas I forgot your existence. How can you just forgive something like that?" She looked up to him.
"It's really simple. Once I laid eyes on you again I knew you were ever so adventurous and brave just like back the. You were just- you know prettier." He blushed.
She smiled. "Y-you think?"
He nodded his head. "Well of course. Corrin I love everything about you."
-Time skip- (Silas POV)
After our day out we decided to head to my quarters. Mostly because sneaking into the castle at such a late time would seem inappropriate. We ended up talking about all the years we weren't in each others life. Corrin, I found out, was originally Hoshidan and had two families. Ultimately she chose loyalty over blood. I suppose that turned out good for all of us. I can't imagine having to face off against her. I told her of my training and hardships of becoming an official Nohrian knight, about how I would dream of the day we'd reunite.
-Normal POV-
Corrin had ended up falling asleep on Silas's chest. Silas was barely awake when he wrapped his arm around her only to fall asleep as well.
Corrin had woken up first but couldn't move. She blushed when she realized what position she was in, basically wrapped around Silas, who was still sleeping.
"Corrin?" Silas said just opening his eyes. "O-oh forgive me princess!" He quickly got up and apologized.
She smiled. "Silas it's fine."
"No it isn't there's something I have to do before we get any more affectionate." They both blushed deeply.
Silas took Corrin's hand and kissed it. He kneeled right in front of her. Silas took a deep breathe and began his proposal.
"I've always cherished you as my best friend, but now you're so much more. I love you, and I'm honored to be your partner in this life. I promise to never leave you again."
