"It would be better if you tell her... since.. you have a better connection with her than I.. but remember... don't make her any hopes... we have to make sure that Noct does not make things worse... this could cause the war to destroy us all"

Today was valentines day, you had thought for weeks what you should give Noctis, you decided to make him chocolate since you knew that he liked sweet stuff, you had been doing this the whole weekend until you finished them, you wrapped a nice blue paper around them and put them in the fridge to keep them cool until monday, today was monday... and you were nervous like hell to give him the chocolate... your thoughts were fixed on that exact moment but it was troubling you so badly that your facial expression was reflecting your inner feelings. You walked into the classroom and found Prompto waving you with a big grin on his face

"Good morning Shiro!" you snapped out of your thoughts and gave him a weak smile as you greeted back

"Good morning!" you walked past him and took a seat on your chair

"Happy valentines day!" he placed a small present on your table and crossed his arms on your desk

"T-Thank you" you blushed slightly as you took the present and opened it slowly, Prompto watched you as you did with sparkling eyes

"Wow.. this is beautiful" you said as you eyed his present that was a purple ink pen with matching paper that smelled like blueberries

"Your welcome!" he grinned at your flushed face

"I think it could be of good use.. you know like writing a letter or something" Prompto was trying to tell you something but before you could say anything to it Ignis dropped his hands on Promptos shoulder and made him jerk up

"Happy valentines day!" Ignis grinned at you and then at Prompto, you gave him a small smile and greeted back, then your eyes noticed Noctis who had entered the classroom together with Ignis

"Good morning" he said in a more distant voice as he took a seat next to you, you noticed immediately that something was wrong with him, however Ignis gave you no time to ask since he handed you a present as well, you thanked him and placed it in you bag together with Promptos and then you took out your presents that you had made for the boys

"I also have something for you guys..." you said shyly and placed the self made chocolate on the table, Promptos eyes lid up as he saw sweet stuff and the best thing it was self made by you.

"W-Wow! this looks amazing! did you really do these yourself?" Prompto asked as he opened the paper and looked at the sweet little snow crystal formed chocolate, you nodded shyly

"Yes, I made them myself..." Ignis grinned and stuffed on into his mouth

"Hmmm! they taste delicious!" you smiled happily that they liked your present but now the only person who was worrying you was Noctis... he seemed really absent today and quiet... you turned your head slowly into his direction and looked at his face that seemed to be thinking about something really sharply

"These are for you.." you said softly as you pushed the blue wrapped present towards him, he finally moved his eyes to yours and looked at you, but still something was different about him

"Thank you..." he said trying to give you a small smile as he took the present

"I will try them late" he placed them into his bag and continued his thoughtful stare like before, you felt a small pain washing over your heart as you felt his could shoulder... you were curious what was troubling him so much, you never seen him like this before.. you turned away from him and tried to let him be since he did not seem very interested in telling you... the period started and it went by really slowly.

The whole day went on like this, Noctis hadn't talked to you at all, his face was could like a stone, you started to feel strange around him because he did not say anything... you were also to scared to ask him what was wrong.. Prompto noticed your sad expression that you tried to hide so desperately and then he stood up from the cafeteria table and asked you to help him with something, you nodded a little confused though but you followed him outside in the hallway

"What's wrong? why did you call me out?" Prompto made sure that no one was around before he looked at your face with sad eyes

"Shiro listen... there is something I have to tell you.. it's about Noct.." your eyes widened

"W-What is it?" Prompto knew that he could not lie to you because you would find out the truth anyway

"You probably noticed that Noct is acting really strange today..." you nodded

"Yes... I did notice.. did... did I do something that made him this way?" Prompto shook his head

"No.. it's not your fault.. it's because.." he paused really long which made your heart speed up like crazy from fear of what he would say

"Listen... the date of the marriage has changed... it is going to be now on August 30th, Noct's birthday" your heart skipped a beat as you suddenly felt how your knees became weak

"I-I see... that explains a lot..." you whispered trying to hide your pain from Prompto

"It was told to him yesterday.. that's's why he is so down today" you nodded

"I understand... it must be really hard on him..." you lowered your head, Prompto saw how hard it hit you and it made him really sad to see you suffering like this...

"Shiro.. I know how much you love him... but I have to tell you something else as well... " you looked up to his face and swallowed

"What I am going to tell you now is really breaking my heart...I know I have no right to ask this of you but I have to let you know... please try to stay away from Noct if you don't want to suffer more than you already do... Noct is going to marry lady Lunafreya and there would be nothing that you or me could do to change that..." your eyes started shaking and small tears were flowing over your cheek, his words were true and you knew that better than anyone... you knew that your love for him would not change anything because he was the son of the king.. although you wanted to believe so in your little dream world for a little while longer...

"I am sorry... I wish I could do something to change that but unfortunately I have no power to do so.. Noct is my best friend and to see him unhappy like this makes me want to screw the rules... but that is how the live is of the future king.. Shiro... please... I know that this will tear you apart inside but... you have to stop loving Noct" your heart shattered into million pieces as his words entered your ears, these emotions you felt were indescribable, you looked down on the floor and your tears started streaming down your face, this pain in your chest was making you gasp for air, how could you stop loving Noctis? this was impossible, you were already madly in love with him, how were you supposed to turn these feelings off? Prompto placed a hand on your shoulder and tried to calm you but no chance, you started crying and sobbing, he pulled you into a hug and your face was buried into his chest as you cried hard, he petted your head and tried to hold back his own tears, this was so unfair... they were in love with each other but neither of them was allowed to love the other one because of the rules... Prompto knew that what he was about to say now was not what Ignis had allowed but he could not stand you crying like this...

"Shiro.. promise me something, ok?" you sobbed still but listened to him

"The paper I gave you today... I want you to write a letter to Noct, once a month from now on and bury them under the big tree before the bridge that leads to the castle... they say that this tree has magical powers and grants peoples wishes who bury their deepest desires underneath it" you nodded into his chest and slowly removed your face from him whipping away your tears

"Yes.. I promise you... I will write to Noct once a month from now on..." Prompto brushed your head softly and tried to give you a weak smile

"Good girl.." you fixed yourself up and both of you started walking back into the cafeteria, but once you got closer to your table your heart stopped, the reason why was because of the sight your eyes caught... it was a beautiful young lady with amazing blond hair and blue eyes... Prompto recognized her immediately and also the outfit she was wearing.. you got closer to the table and once you stopped she smiled at you brightly and so softly just like back then

"Shiro! hi! do you remember me? we met at Noctis place a few months back, I'm Lunafreya but please call me Luna! I'll be joining you for the last few months since our parents want us to know each other better".
