Noctis slowly let go of you but still kept his hands on your shoulder as he looked into your eyes

"Shiro... there is something I need to tell you..." he started with a shaky voice, you looked at him with big eyes and were nervous what he was about to say, he kept eye contact with you for a few seconds without saying anything before he slowly parted his lips and wanted to start

"Shiro.. I..-"

"Yo guys! The king and queen announcement starts now!" you heard Prompto saying as he walked over to you and interrupted Noctis.. he let go off your shoulders and removed his eyes from you

"We're be right there" he replied to Prompto with a strange under tone and stood up, he held out his hand for you and helped you up as you 2 followed him to the stage, Noctis looked straight forward and you could see from his profile that something was bothering him very much.. you wanted to know what he was about to say to you before you were interrupted... you stopped next to Ignis and looked towards the stage were the announcer was talking with the judge, you then carefully looked up to Noctis who was still having this odd face... you watched him for a few seconds confused what was going on... then you gathered all your courage and called his name but then the loud sound from the stage microphone interrupted you once again...

"And the winner of this years King and Queen contest are..." the announcer unfolded the paper and announced the names

"King Noctis and his Queen Shiro!" your heart skipped a beat as you head your name fall... you turned your head around with shaking eyes and then the spotlight hit you and Noctis in the middle of the crowd... Noctis seemed to surprised himself and did not know what to do or say, both of you stood there in the middle of everyone shocked as the judge walked towards you and placed the crown on your heads, you and Noctis were lead up to the stage were a picture was taken, then the music started playing and you 2 had to dance alone in front of everyone... Noctis placed his hand softly on your waist and guided you on the dance floor, your eyes were full of fear because everyone was looking at you, Noctis pulled you closer to him and your hands touched his chest

"It's ok... don't pay attention to them, just look into my eyes the whole time.." you nodded as your eyes met and locked, Noctis started dancing with you to the slow music and guided you, flashlight was hitting the 2 of you as you danced, this moment was just like in the fairy tail books.. he was your king and you were his queen... this would be to nice to be real, the dance slowly came to an end and Noctis stopped, you slowly removed your hands from his chest but not your eyes from his

"Thank you..." he said giving you a soft smile, you replied it weakly

"Thank you to... and you were right... looking at you the whole time really took away my fear.." his smile increased and then he suddenly hugged you in the middle of the dance floor, your eyes froze and so did your body, you could hear shocking noises from the girls in the room as they saw how the prince hugged you so softly, you were confused why he did it

"N-Noct.. what are you doing?" you asked, he smiled into your shoulder and closed his hands behind you even more, he whispered back

"I just felt like doing this, and besides didn't you say that your fear was gone?" seriously? He was teasing you in such a moment? Your face started to relax a moment later and your body as well, you smiled and brought your hands up locking them behind his back tightly as you nuzzled your face into his chest, Noctis was surprised by your actions but then his face turned really soft and happy as he held you in his arms

"I wish I could stay with you like this forever.." these words escaped your lips in a whisper but Noctis was still able to hear it, his hand moved up to your head and he brushed over it softly

"Then let's stay like this forever.." he whispered back with a smile, the moment was so touching that Prompto had to shed a tear, Ignis looked at him with a high eyebrow

"Don't pussy out on me now, man!"  he said as he hit his shoulder, Prompto smiled and cleaned his eyes

"What's the matter? Everyone deserves a little love in their life and I am pretty sentimental when it comes to occasions like this!" Ignis looked at him with a serious face

"You know the rules Prompto... we can't let him fall in love with her more than he already has..." Prompto's face turned sad as he looked down

"I know that... I am fully aware of that but... she is in love with him to... and it hurts me to see that it will never be possible for them to be together..." Ignis pushed his glasses up a little

"I understand your feelings.. I feel the same way... but we have our orders... and no matter what you know that we have to obey the king's words.. no matter how hard they were.. Noctis is not allowed to fall in love with the woman he chooses, he has to marry lady Lunafreya  8 months from now to secure the peace between our lands..." Prompto looked up and towards you and Noctis

"They will ruin each other if they keep their feelings hidden for much longer... the way Noctis is holding her already says how desperately he wants to tell her how he feels..." Ignis placed his hand on Promptos shoulder

"I know... I can see it everyday how they look at each other... but we can't let that happen... they must never let each other know about their feelings.." Prompto shook of Ignis hand and started walking away

"Don't be so sure about that... we can't babysit them 24/7.. one day they will let each other know and we both know Noctis.. he will tell her even if it causes him the throne...".
