Eleni, daughter of the Elvenking and heir to Mirkwood, has been lost for a long time. 

Though she once had a place in the world, she has long since left it. Away from her home for nearly two centuries, she has wandered Middle-Earth without aim or company and no end in sight. An ancient weariness has settled into her bones, a weight that had been foreign to her before she left.

But there is an ancient dept she has carried on her back: once she had been unable to persuade her father to aid the Folk of Durin with the fall of Erebor.

Now, Gandalf the Grey has given her a second chance to do so.

Fun fact: Eleni is the old Elvish word for "starlight" according to the wiki which is a very sublte and clever hint at the gems Thranduil is referencing in the triology.

Anyway this may or may not be connected to Bleeding out in a River, I honestly don't know yet! But I do like the notion of having interconnected fics and I have the compulsion to create fanfic universes so... let's imagine they're set in the same universe lmao! So... vague references to Enahel and her story might happen but then again no promises since Rings of Power is neither following the previous canon nor is the show or the fic finished.

Be prepared for some eldest daughter emotions and a soft oc who turned bitter and carries around a lot of guilt in her. Some daughter/father angst. Estranges siblings. Loving your family but being at odds with them. You know - the usual, good stuff.

Lemme know: between the urge to keep Bagginshield implied canon or to make this an implied Thorin fic which wins out?? The romance will not be the main focus in any way, shape or form either way and Eleni's main journey will be in the  focal point!! We'll also have some bonding wth Fili on being heirs to a difficult line and their situations with little brothers maybe. Bilbo and Eleni bonding over their shared grief with the dwarves' manners. A lot of found family around.

And, ya know, death.
