Chapter 4: Section Deity

"Our section is perfect. They, students, treat us like Gods and goddesses. Just like the name itself. Deity."

Nyx's POV

Lihim akong napa-iling sa nangyare. Akala ko puro edukadong tao ang nandito. Tama nga naman yung kaibigan ni Mara na si Alexa. Why hurt someone just because you can't do something on your own?

Kanina halos lahat ng Deity, busy manood dun sa nagaaway kaya naman pinagmasdan ko sila. Walang halos nagsasalita. Nakikinig lang sila sa mga nagaaway. Ganto ba talaga dito? Even our president, Heidi, is busy watching the scene. Si Ea lang ata ang natutulog ngayon. Haha.

Pero isang tao ang nakaagaw ng pansin ko, naka-ngisi siya habang pinagmamasdan ang away. This section is getting really weird. Who is he anyway? He's a good-looking guy but he's weird.

"He's Miggy Rivera. He's weird, right? That's what I thought when I first saw him too." Biglang sulpot ng isang babaeng wavy ang buhok na hanggang bewang sa left side ko, she has a cute eyes, she has a pointed nose, and thin lips. She's pretty. Err, wala pa naman ako nakitang pangit dito sa Deity. I smiled at her.

"Yes. He's weird for smiling even when his classmates is in clash. Your name is?" madalas ko siyang nakikita kasama ay puro lalaki. Pero I'm sure she's not a slut. She looks like one of the boys actually. But still, she's pretty.

"Ow. Sorry. I thought you already know me hehe. Im Althea Lazaro. You can call me whatever you want." pagpapakilala niya.

"Sure thing, Thea. I'm---" magsasalita pa sana ako nang pinutol niya ako.

"Nyx. Nyx Chantal. Your name and your friend's---" I cut her.

"My bestfriend's name." I said. She's not just my friend! She's my best friend!

She chuckled, "Oh. Sorry. As I was saying, your name and your bestfriend's name is quite popular here in Noble Academy. You two are gorgeous, and hot. That's what I always hear from others and I strongly agreed. You guys are kicked out from Highland Academy because of something, I don't know what something is that about but I know you two are really something." She said as if she's telling the history of her family. Im shocked when she knows that we're kicked out but I still smile. How did she know that?

"You're interesting. You know a lot." That something she's talking about is just too private. We can't let others know about that. But I still smiled at her, we must be careful knowing that someone is too curious to know where we came from and why we transferred.

"Yes. That's a fact." She said while turning her back at me pero di nakaligtas sakin ang ngisi niya. What was that for? Aalis na siya. Better. Makakapagisip ako. 3 hours itong subject kaya medyo matagal tagal pa bago mag bell.

Pero teka. Madalas, parang ilag ang mga tao samin. At tuwing nakikita nila kami, just like our first day ni Ea dito sa academy, para bang napaka big deal. What's with our section? Am I just overthinking or is it true that our section is something? Rhymmmmeeee! Panes. Lol.

"Ugh. I want to know all about this section. My head is already aching, my ghad." I muttered.

"Yes? You need something?" Biglang sulpot ulet ni Thea. How did she know that I need her? Did I say it that loud for her to hear it? Dahil sa mga naiisip ko, si Thea ang alam kong makakatulong at makakasagot sa mga katanungan ko. Pero syempre, I will not ask my question directly. Baka kasi ma-offend siya. Wala na ang nakita kong ngisi niya kanina. She's smiling at me politely. She really looks like an angel.

"My best friend is sleeping, would you mind if I ask you to accompany me?" I asked her using my infamous look. The pa-cute look. Hehe.

"No. I would be glad to accompany a gorgeous lady like you." I chuckled at her remarks. Maybe she adopt the way how her boy friend's speaks because she sounds like she's flirting with me.

"Why am I having this feeling that being here in section deity is a big mistake? Yung mga nakikita kong students, may paghanga sa mga mata pero ilag sila. And I hate it." I said while looking at my classmates and I fake a sigh. And because I'm such a good actress, I'm sure she didn't notice that.

"Let me tell you a story about this section." and there, I know my whole plan successed. I smiled at the thought.

"We, Heidi, my boy friends, at ang iba pa ay magkakaklase na last year. Kilala ko na ang halos lahat sakanila. Pero kahit na magkakaklase na kami last year, hindi pa rin kami ganong nagkakasundo. Kahit kelan hindi kami nagkaroon ng party na magkakasama. Each of us has a group, and there's just one guy na siya lang mag-isa. No friends, since last year. I know you already know him." saad niya habang nakatingin sa aming mga kaklase na may sari-sariling mundo. So that explains why they look like they already know each other. Pero ang saklap lang kasi hindi sila nagkakasundo. Kami ni Ea, marami kaming kasundo (^o^)／ Kaya nga nakick-out kami eh. *note the sarcasm*

"Yes. Miggy Rivera." I stated and she nodded.

"You know why we can't unite? I'll tell you the different reasons behind it. First, fame. Most of us here, wants fame. Masyadong lumalaki ang ulo sa mga papuring natatanggap sa iba't ibang tao so they are craving for more. Second, money. Some are always competing about their businesses. Third, attitudes. Iba iba ang ugali ng mga tao dito, and they'll hang-out sa taong kaugali nila. Example, if you're a nerd, you'll go to Mara's group. If you're a bitch, you'll go for Princess. Get it? I know you do. And lastly, insecurity." she paused and look at me, before continuing.

"Ayaw nilang natataasan sila. Sometimes, even their friend, yes, gusto nilang maging success ang bawat isa, but they dont want someone higher than them." sabi niya na ikana-kunot ng noo ko. That's not friendship if that's how it works. Binalik niya ang tingin niya sa mga kaklase namin.

"So.. bakit si Heidi lang ang kilala kong officer? Where is the other? Vice president? Secretary? Anyone?" I asked again. Pretending that I'm asking just to kill time.

"We only have Heidi as our officer. Actually, they are two. President and our Vice President. I know that's pretty hard. But it's harder now, because we only have one officer in charge. I can't imagine myself being in Heidi's position. Me? Doing all the work? Nah.. Our vice president is in a relationship with Mara, our beautiful nerd. But he is on a trip for weeks. So sadly, Mara is being bullied by the bitches. And before I forgot...

Our vice president is Ice Serge." my jaw dropped. I looked at Ea, I'm glad that she's still sleeping.

"Why?" Napansin niya sigurong nagulat ako. Ghad, why did I let my emotions out?

"What about Ash and Ice Serge?" I asked pretending that I didn't know that.

"Ow. They are twins." I nodded. Of course I already know that!

"In this academy, we are the only section that has a name. Other section is called 1, 2, 3.. I guess we're really special. Sabi nila, we're perfect. Napagsama-sama daw ang mga gorgeous, famous, rich, talented, and smart people in one section. But what they don't know is, we're far from being perfect. Really far." the bell rings and I think my mind is tired because of revelations.

"To answer your question earlier, being in this section is not a mistake. Just enjoy, Nyx. Our section is perfect in their eyes. They, students, treat us like Gods and Goddesses. Just like the name itself. Deity." she said and starts to walk towards her boy friends that's currently waiting for her.
