He'll listen to some of the songs on the playlist you made for him, most of the time he'll sing along to them to warm up his voice a bit more. When he warms up his voice he makes a lot of strange noises, some are not pretty but it really helps. It's always funny when some of his bandmates send you videos of him warming up which makes you laugh. Every now and then they will post them in their Instagram stories for all to see. 

You always helped him get ready; he always feels so relaxed when you do. Most of the time it's making sure his hair is done. Ever since you started doing his hair before a show, he's gotten into the habit of having you do it because it feels so good! And it gets rid of any nervousness or anxiety he might have before a show. 

When you're at home he'll make an effort to facetime you so he can talk to you really quick before he hits the stage. But when you are unable to facetime, he'll leave you a text message or voicemail telling you he's about to hit the stage and that he loves you so much. 

He always carries a picture of you in his pocket, which he will pull out and look at when he needs it. You also taught him that when he looks at the photo to remember that you'll be out there in crowd somewhere in person or in spirit, and to just pretend that he's singing to you.
