MIA

Me and Noah rushed inside the pack house. It was going crazy. The maids were running around everywhere, carrying white sheets of blood. I felt my own blood drain from my face. Please tell he's okay. 

I ran into the lounge and see Xander putting pressure on a wound. Lizzy has tears in her eyes as well as Zapora. Soul's eyes were black and he kept growling and snarling from the pain. 

I stepped forward to help, but Noah snatched me back sayind, "Don't. He's in a feral state right now. We don't know what he'll do."

I turned to him, "I can help him Noah. I know what to do. Please...let me help him."

He looks down at me with his jaws clenching. He was thinking. He snarled and said, "Fine. But only if I'm present."

I nodded my head. I rushed to Solomon's side, "What happened?" I asked the Alpha. 

"He just stumbled into the house with four arrows stuck in him." 

I nodded my head in understanding, "Okay. keep pressure on it. I'm going get something that will calm him down."

I rushed up to my room and got the supplies then came back down. I laid everything on the table. I grabbed the herb I was looking for. I quickly grounded and put hot water with it inside a bowl. I placed it in front of Soul's growling face, "Breathe." I asked.

He breathed in the steam and he instantly calmed down. His head slowly fell softly down as he was sleeping.

The alpha's eyes widened, "What the hell is that stuff?"

"It's a natural relaxant. Now please Alpha, let me see his wound."

He nodded and let me see. I cringed at the sight. There were four holes in his back. I leaned in and sniffed. "The arrows wasn't poisoned, they were just regular arrows. This will make him heal much quicker."

Alpha frowned at me, "What were you sniffing for?"

"I was making sure there wasn't any poison on it or else it would've been bad."

"What kind of poison?" He asked. 

I grabbed a needle and thread and started to prepare to stitch, "Locknight. It's a very dangerous poison."

"What does it do?"

As I was sterilizing the needle I said, "It can make the body immediately shut down, unless it is taken care of straight away."

The Alpha nodded and let me continue to do my work. I stitched each hole up. The Alpha stood up, "Noah I need to talk to you about the rogue problem. Come with me." I looked over my shoulder and I could see Noah staring at me. I knew he didn't want to leave me. I nodded my head him and formed a small smile. 

He sighed and followed the Alpha. Zapora was shaking as she was staring at Soul. Lizzy grabbed her hand and ushered her out. It was just me and Solomon now. 

When I stitched up the last hole and was tying it off, Solomon opened his eyes and groaned. 

"What happened to me?" He whispered. 

"You were shot by four arrows by a rogue."

He growled weakly, "Fucking rogue." I ignored his language. "I feel terrible," He said. 

"Yeah well... getting shot my arrows can do that to you."

Soul chuckles weakly, "Even when I'm wounded you can be a smart ass." I laugh softly and shake my head. 

"Did you get a good look at who the rogues were?"

"No," He growled in frustration, "I wanted to rip their heads off."

"Ssshhh...calm down Solomon. Let's just forget about them now and focus on something else. Tell me about your mate."

He instantly relaxed when I mentioned his mate. His eyes went soft at the thought, "She is beautiful. She has bright blonde hair that went to the middle of her back. All natural of course. Her eyes were this...amazing vibrant blue. Her skin was smooth and tanned. I remember once before she got pregnant, we were sleeping in the same bed and she had a lot of Indian that night. Indian always made her gassy, but it was her favorite food in the whole world. And she made the biggest fart when she was asleep," He started to laugh and I couldn't help, but laugh along too, "It was so loud that she woke herself up. I was trying so hard not to laugh because I knew she would've been embarrassed, but then instead of blushing or whatever...she hits me in the chest and said 'you idiot! Your stupid fart woke me up!' She rolled over and tucked herself into bed. I couldn't believe it. She actually believed that was the one that farted and woke her up. I couldn't help, but laugh my ass off." We were both now laughing so hard. 

"Whoa! She sounds like a keeper Solomon."

He shook his head and chuckles, "Yeah, I know." His eyes suddenly went very sad. I know he misses her. He misses his mate. He's been a part from her for years. I couldn't even think about being a part from Noah after knowing him as my mate. But I knew that it was going to happen. 

"So you're going to head off after Lizzy gives birth?" I asked. 

"Yeah and after Noah's wedding of course."

I looked down and sighed,"Yeah...it's going to be some wedding."

His eyes widen and then he cringed, "Shit. I'm sorry Mia. I didn't think. I didn't if you guys were actually official or not."

I shook my head quickly, "No no. It's fine. Me and Noah are officially unofficial if that makes sense. We have to keep it a secret. I know I shouldn't be with him, but...he's my mate. I'm going to have whatever time I can get to be with him."

"Well...just don't think about the wedding or any of that crap right now. It's about you and Noah. And Mia?" He asked/

"Yeah?"

He gave me a sad smile and said, "Don't wait for anything."

My face scrunched slightly in confusion, "What do you mean?"

"You guys have a time limit. Don't waste. Do everything and anything as much as possible. Don't wait to tell each other things, don't wait to do things together. Just do everything before it's too late, and you'll regret it."

I think he was right. I try to not think about the future, but I know I always have to keep it in mind. I shouldn't wait to tell Noah everything. I should be with him in every way. I can't wait around. I can't act relaxed and take things slow like we have forever. Because we don't have forever have now. And I can't waste the now. This can't be a slow love. But a fiery love that will be imprinted in our hearts forever.

"You're right Solomon. I can't waste time."

He gave me a nod of encouragement. "Good."

We both sat in silence as I was treating his wound, but something has been nagging my mind. I wanted to ask out of curiosity, "Hey Solomon, who is the girl that Noah is going to marry?"

"Her name's Sophie."

I stilled, impossible. It can't be, "Sophie? Who's her father?"

"I think his name's Alpha Kendrick? I think they're coming right after Lizzy gives birth."

I felt the blood drain from my face. I stared ahead of me and I felt the fear course through my very veins. I took a deep breath, trying to get air, but it felt as if I couldn't get enough. 

"Mia? Mia whats wrong?"

I took a deep breath and smiled down at him like nothing happened, "Nothing just...I caught a chill is all. You're all good now, just rest for a-a-a bit."

He sat up and eyed me in concern, "Are you sure you're okay Mia?"

I nodded my head, "Totally. I just need to get some air is all. I'll be right back."

I stood up and I felt the dizziness in my head. I can't believe he's coming here. Did Noah tell? Didn't he mention when I brought him to the cottage? I shook my head I can't remember at this point. I didn't know what to do. I felt an overwhelming sense of panic. I can't see him. I won't see. I don't want to. Noah is going to be a part of his family. the thought made me feel nauseous.

I walked out of the lounge and looked towards the stairs. I saw Zapora's eyes widen when she saw me. She said something to me, but I couldn't process anything at this point. I walked outside onto the deck. 

"It can't be. It's not possible. The Moon Goddess wouldn't be that cruel." I mumbled to myself. The panic was too much. I felt my legs give way and I was falling. Soon everything turned black. The last think I heard was Zapora's scream. 

NOAH

I was in Xander's office. He was pacing back and forth, "This rogue problem is getting out of hand. I can't let this go on. We need to send them a message. We need to show them that they cannot treat us like this." He growled. 

"What do you suggest we do?" I asked. 

He growled and snarled in frustration, "I don't know! I'm too angry to think right now. Those arrows could have been Izzy. It could have been my Izzyr! How dare they do this to me! What do you think we should do?"

I sighed and thought it over in my head. I weighed out the pros and cons of the situation and what the best outcome would be. What do we want as a result? "I guess that depends on what you to happen to them."

"i want them all destroyed."

I nodded my head in agreement. Once of them got Mia and almost killed her. I can't let that happen to her again. I won't. "Then we go to war." I said. 

Xander nodded his head. 

For the next half hour, we were planning on when would be the best time to strike. It would be after Lizzy's pregnancy and the wedding. That way it would be more safe for everyone. 

"We will gather the women and children here, but I want extra guards on Lizzy and Zapora." Said Xander. 

"And Mia." I added. 

Xander looked up at me for a moment before nodding his head in agreement, "And Mia."

We both suddenly heard a scream downs stairs. We were already on our feet and rushed downstairs. I ran faster when I saw Mia's unconscious body on the front porch. I rushed to her and bent down. 

"What happened?" I shouted. 

Zapora came by my side, "I dunno. She looked pale and scared then she went outside and suddenly fainted."

"So she just passed out?" She nodded her head. In a way I was relieved. I thought she had a very serious wound or something. But I was still worried that she fainted. 

I picked her up and rushed her upstairs into my room. I laid her on my bed and sighed. I ran my fingers through her hair, wanting her to wake up. 

I felt my brows scrunch in question. Why was she so scared?

MIA

I slowly felt myself wake up from the deep slumber. I open my eyes and look around the room. I was in Noah's room why was I in Noah's room? 

I sat up and rubbed my eyes. How did I even get here? 

Noah came into the room. As soon as he saw me he rushed to me, "Mia, how are you feeling? Are you alright?"

I shook my head, "Wait...what happened? Why am I here?"

He leaned end and said softly, "Mia...you fainted because you were scared."

"I fainted? Why would I..." The the memories flooded back into my mind all at once. I felt my breath begin the fasten again. No...no no no no. 

"Alpha kendrick." I whispered breathlessly. I felt the panic come into my system. I instantly stood, "Noah I have to leave! I have to get out of here! I can't be here right now!"

I rush to the door, but didn't even get the chance to reach it when Noah wrapped his arm around my waist and pull me back. He spun me around to face him. I tried to get out his arms, but he was too strong, "No Noah! You don;t understand! I need to leave before he knows I'm here!" I shouted. 

Noah held my shoulders and shouted, "Mia! Calm down! Take a deep breath." I do. I breath in deeply, but it all came out in a sob. I felt the tears build in my eyes. I grab a hold of Noah's shirt and buried my face into it, "Please Noah don't let him take me. Please. Please. Please, don't let him take me." Noah pulled me hard against his huge figure. I wrapped my arms around his waist, while he wrapped an around my body and the other was stroking the back of my head, 

"Ssshhh...calm down Mia. Just breath, Okay? Breath for me." I took a deep breath of his scent and it instantly calmed me. I just whimper in his chest. Hoping all of this is just some kind of sick dream. 

Noah guided me to the bed and sat me down on the middle of it. He wrapped a blanket around me and pulled me in between his legs and rested my head on his chest. 

"Mia...why are you so scared?" He whispered.

I sat up and turned my head towards. I took a deep breath and said, "It's not a pretty story."

"I'm not asking for a pretty story Mia. I want your story now please...tell me."

I looked down at my hands and began. "I haven't talked about this to anyone for seven years. This is the first time I've ever talked about it with anyone."

Noah nodded his head, "That's okay. I want to help Mia."

I nodded my head, "Well...as you know...my mother died giving birth to me. And then when I was about eleven, my father was killed my rogues. My uncle...Alpha Kendrick, took me in since he was the next thing I had to family. I was best friends with my cousin, Sophie...you'er, er fiance."

Noah leaned his head back and sigh. He pinched the bridge of his nose, "Ohh fuck, it had to be your cousin didn't it."

I rubbed arm, "It's okay Noah. Anyways, yeah...me and her were best friends. Everyone thought I was beautiful when I was little and as I got older...apparently the beauty just kept increasing. I matured a lot faster than the other girls. My body was changing into more of a woman and all the males noticed," I heard Noah growl. I grabbed his hand and laid it on my lap and while I was playing with his fingers, I said, "And so did Alpha kendrick. He was never close to my immediate family. He was always distant. As I got older...he started to give me more, special attention. At first I was happy because I thought that he was thinking of me more a daughter now than a niece. Then he started to do strange things. He would ask me to sit on his lap while he read his book to me, claiming that he did it with his own daughter. He was want to give me massages all the time. Then...One night, he told me he wanted to show me something. And because I was a stupid young girl, I said yes. He lead me down this dark staircase the lead to a private room I'd never seen before. It was weird. I felt uncomfortable. I remember turning to try and leave, but he locked the door. He told me I was more special to him than his daughter and that's why he wanted to do special things to me. He told me to take my clothes off to show me how he thought was special. I didn't want to. I did nothing he wanted me to do. he got angry. He started to do everything himself. He ripped the clothes off of me," I felt the tears build in my eyes, "And h-h-he started to touch me while saying how beautiful I was."

I looked at Noah and his eyes were black. His jaws were clenches and his nostril were flaring with anger. "What else did he do?" He growled lowly. 

I look down at my lap with shame, "He made me do everything. Just as he was about to penetrate me...his mate came through the door. She was furious. I was happy she was there because I thinking she would get him away from me. But he blamed it on me. He said I seduced him and that I've been trying to be with him for months. The Luna slapped me. She banished me for being a whore. And that is why I live in the cottage.  Sophie never tried to fight my banishment. She just accepted it. So we never stayed as friends either."

I couldn't look at Noah. I felt so shameful.It's why I always hated how I looked because it was my appearances fault that I was in pain. 

Noah didn't make a move to touch. I felt the tears run down my face. I could understand. I gues he might be seeing different. I am dirty and tainted. I wouldn't want to be with me. 

Suddenly though, He reached out hand and cuped my cheek. He lifted my gaze to his. I was scared to see his face. But when I did, I saw nothing, but adoration...for me. For me!? 

"You are beautiful and strong Mia. I hate that you wen through. I am so furious that I want to kill the fucking bastard. And I will when he gets here. But you have to know Mia, everything that happened wasn't your fault. Being beautiful wasn't your fault. It was all his fault. He is the one to blame. He is the one responsible for all of this. So don't you dare blame yourself."

I sobbed into my hands. Noah gathered my small figure into his chest. He rubbed my back and whispered comforting things in my ear. After a while I calmed down. I still felt Noah's arms wrapped tightly around me. 

"I'm scared." I confessed. 

His arms tightened and said, "You don't have to be scared Mia because I'm here. I'm not letting that sick bastard anywhere near you. I'm here Mia. You're safe with me. You are not going to get hurt...and that's a promise."

I felt myself relax against him. His words gave my heart a deep comfort. I knew that he would stick to his word. I feel the safest when I am with Noah. My eyes close involentarily. And I slowly drift into a peaceful darkness knowing that my beast won't let anyone hurt me ever again.
