There was an after party once the awards show ended. It was hosted in a luxurious venue with colorful lights and balloons everywhere. In the middle was a large centerpiece with cupcakes for everyone to enjoy. All the nominated idols had been invited and many of them returned to their dorms to change clothes before going. Sun and her group members from Baby Lips had been among the ones who went to change into something more comfortable for the party.
When they arrived, there were already hundreds of people there and music was blaring, barely allowing them to hear each other. The girls of Baby Lips tried to stick together most of the time, but with all the people who attended, they soon got separated until it was only Minnie and Sun who were together.
Aron approached the two girls and wrapped his arms around Sun's waist from behind. Sun jumped slightly at the feeling, and she did what she always did by instinct. She elbowed him in the gut and he fell to the floor behind her.
Minnie gasped and Sun turned around to see Aron laying on the floor, clutching his stomach. She had almost expected to see Yixing lying there, like he did when he tried to surprise her, only to end with a blow to the gut. Sun brought her hands to her face as she let out a gasp, "Aron, oh my god. I'm so sorry. Its a habit I have when people sneak up on me." She offered him a hand to help him up and he took it.
"Its okay, princess." He told her with a pained smile.
"If you two want to have some alone time, I'll just go." Minnie grinned at them, shooting Sun a thumbs up which she tried to make discreet but she failed.
Sun shot her a look, begging her to stay, since she knew it would be awkward with Aron considering that they didn't really know each other in reality. With a polite smile, Aron nodded to her, shouting over the blaring music, "Thank you, noona. We appreciate it." And he grabbed Sun'a hand in his, interlocking their fingers.
Now Sun was stuck with him for the rest of the night.

exo_babylips: is this finally happening?
exo_babylips: they get along! *-*
leadersaris: @exo_babylips no they dont. she said they took that picture as a thank you bc they surrendered the trophy to the girls.
leadersaris: @exo_babylips this is probably damage control so their fans dont mess with the girls now that they got to keep the trophy, but we all know exo and baby lips cant stand each other
leadersaris: just look at them though, they look so hostile. like the last thing they want is to stand next to each other.
mexicanminnie: they would be cute together though #leadership

Sun saw the picture of her group leader with EXO's leader and she closed out of the app, stuffing her phone into her pocket. Beside her was Aron, talking to some other idols from Big Hit Entertainment. There was friendly competition between Pledis and other agencies in the kpop industry. But none really hated each other like SM and Pledis did. The Pledis idols generally got on well with other idols from other agencies.
When Aron pulled away from his conversation, he linked arms with Sun and led her to another part of the room. "The managers want me to introduce you to the other Nu'est members. They want you to introduce me to your group too."
"That's not happening tonight." She informed him, looking around the room and spotting her group members scattered around the venue. There were twelve members in Baby Lips as opposed to Nu'est who were only five members.
He led her to where a group of four boys stood together. All of them nodded politely as Aron approached with Sun in tow.
"Guys," Aron announced rather proudly. Sun was amazed at how quickly he could get into character. Whenever they were alone he was nonchalant, and even cold around her. Now that they were around his group members, he pretended like he was the happiest man in the world to have her by his side. For Sun it was a bit harder to pretend, but she forced herself to endure it. "This is my girlfriend Mae." He called her by her real name and it caught her off guard how it was different as opposed to when they were in public. It was a more private setting with the other boys, yet it was still a lie and they were being fooled. Turning back to her, he added, "Jagi, these are the guys. Minki, Dongho, Jonghyun, and Minhyun." He pointed at each of them as he introduced them.
Sun bowed to each of them respectfully before shaking their hands.

By the time the after party was in its final moments, and before Sun knew it, she was stumbling around with a bit too many drinks in her system. The stress of having to date Aron--in front of her secret boyfriend--while still fulfilling all her activities as an idol was too much for her to handle and she found a momentary escape in alcohol that was being serves at the party.
The idols weren't exactly forbidden from consuming alcohol, they were adults after all--most of them at least--but it was encouraged for them not to drink it. Sun ignored her thoughts which warned her against it, thinking that she might let something slip.
Aron was close by, keeping an eye on her, but never stopping her as she took in drink after drink until everything became a blur of people, music, lights, and everything seemed funny to her. She kicked her heels off, discarding them as she had no need for them anymore. She mingled with the crowds, making conversations with other idols that had also introduced some drinks into their system, but no one was as drunk as she was. Her objective of walking around was to lose Aron, so that she could go find Yixing, and talk to him. To beg for his forgiveness because she felt weak.
She was doing everything they wanted her to do and it was hurting her boyfriend and their relationship. But she was afraid to fight against it.
Knowing that Yixing was a more shy and reserved type of person, she figured he would have gotten tired of the party by that time, and was probably just waiting to head back with the other boys in his group. She walked to the exit of the venue which was in a large building with several floors exclusively for parties. On other floors were other parties happening, and there were security guards near the door to the after party to keep fangirls from entering.
Sun walked down the hallway after leaving the party, keeping close to the wall in order to catch herself in case of falling.
There were two paths upon leaving the party. To the left was illuminated with lights in the hall way and it led to the exit of the building. To the right it was dark, and it led further into the building and in the distance, with her blurred vision, Sun could see a staircase that was closed off by velvet rope and chains.
Instead of taking the logical route, she instead walked down the dark end of the hallway.
"This is a one time thing." She heard a woman mutter in the echoes of the closed off staircase, between what sounded like heated kisses. "If you tell anyone what happened here, I will end you..." She warned the person she was with and Sun couldn't help but feel like it was a familiar voice.
As she got closer, Sun tripped on her own feet and fell to her knees right before the stairs that led down to an unknown place. The two people there jumped, startled. And Sun's eyebrows furrowed in confusion at what she saw.
"Sarang, unnie?" She looked from her--the leader of Baby Lips--to the young man who was with her.
He was partially hidden away from sight in the darkness that enveloped him and she couldn't make out who he was, especially considering that her head was spinning and she could barely even walk because of the alcohol she drank.
"Mae." Sarang gulped, pushing her make out partner back further down the stairs.
His hand shot up to grab her upper arm as she moved to exit the staircase and into the hallway with the maknae. He didn't want to be left there alone. "Wait." He called in a soft whisper that was desperate for her attention.
She wrenched her arm out of his grip and stepped into the hallway, wrapping an arm around Sun's shoulders and pulling her back toward the party. The two walked side by side, and when Sarang caught a whiff of the maknae's breath, she asked her with the same amount of confusion Sun had when she saw her at the empty staircase, making out with someone.
"Are you drunk, Mae?" She asked, stopping in her tracks and standing in front of Sun.
The movements were all too sudden and sent the younger girl stumbling back slightly. Sarang placed her hands on Sun's shoulders to steady her.
Sun shook her head. "I'm not. I swear."
Sarang heaved a sigh. "You don't know how to lie."
"That's not true." Sun began, lifting up her index finger matter of factly. "I've lied about plenty of things that you and the other girls didn't even know about." Her thoughts kept urging her to keep quiet, but her lips were like a motor without the ability to stop.
The leader of the group eyed her suspiciously. "Oh yeah? Like what?"
Sarang placed her hands on her hips, removing them from Sun's shoulders as she waited expectantly for an answer. Sun felt herself at a sudden loss of balance and staggered back once more. This time, she had time enough to lean against the nearest wall to keep from falling and making a fool out of herself.
"My secret boyfriend." Sun said, and changing the subject, she asked the leader a question. "What were you doing with a boy in a dark hallway anyway?"
The change in topic put Sarang on edge.
Nervous, she replied, "It was just some random guy I met earlier. Don't worry about it."
"Mhm." Sun hummed.
She didn't have the energy to question her any further.
Sarang placed a hand on Sun's shoulder and urged her to return to the party. Her eyes occasionally glanced to the staircase at the end of the hall, as though to make sure that whoever was there, was hidden and not in plain sight.
Having forgotten why she had originally left the party, Sun nodded her head.
"Don't do anything I would do." Sun warned her group mate, since her choices in the last few months had gotten her in deep trouble.
The maknae of Baby Lips returned to the party to search for the other girls. She was going to ask them to get her back to the dorms, since she wasn't sure if she'd be able to do it alone. When she didn't find them, her next best option was to find Aron and ask her to at least get her back to the dorm building safely.
She found him with his friends and he said goodbye to them, promising that he would see them later back at the dorms. Aron wrapped an arm around Sun's waist to keep her stable, and the couple left the party together.
Out in the hallway, as they were about to take a left turn to find the exit of the venue building, Sun's eyes darted to the right where Sarang had been a while earlier. As she turned back towards where Aron was taking her, she saw something shift through the corner of her eye. Someone was emerging from the hallway which led to the darkened staircase. But it wasn't the Baby Lips leader Park Sarang.
It was the leader of EXO, Kim Junmyeon, combing a hand through his messy strands of hair.
But he couldn't have been the person making out with Sarang.
They hated each other.
