With Sun finally managing to control her laughter--though it was highly difficult for her--the two girls finally got through their photo shoot for the new fragrance they were soon going to advertise. They had already done several promos in Korea, but now they had come up with a special China edition version of the fragrance which would be available within a month or two.

The two girls hurriedly changed out of their clothes for the shoot which were very expensive dresses, though not before Sun snapped a selca of herself in it and sent it to her boyfriend. She posted it on her social media accounts soon after. They had about two hours to spare before the fansign would end, and if they hurried, they could get there for the last hour of it. Their manager had approved and allowed them to attend after congratulating them for being highly professional, especially Sun.

With a wide smile on her lips, Sun clicked on the text box on her phone to come up with a reply, but before she could start typing, she saw her friend lean over in her seat to sneak a glance. They were already in the car with their manager sitting in the front passenger seat, the two girls were sat in the back. When Sun noticed her friend trying to peek at her texts, she hastily moved her phone out of reach and stuffed it into her pocket.

She didn't know if Minnie had seen anything, but her friend was ready to tease her whether she saw something or not. "What are you trying to hide from me, maknae?" She asked the younger girl who had been very secretively texting.

Sun tried to keep her calm, and replied with, "Nothing. I was just talking to my mom."

"Pfft." Minnie snorted. "I saw baobei written on the contact name. Now my Chinese isn't perfect, but I know what that means. Sun, you have a boyfriend!" She shouted the last part with excitement. Sun felt her heart drop when her friend said that. The girls of Pledis groups were allowed to date, but it was a different procedure. Pledis Entertainment had to approve of the person each of their idols dated. Minnie had been allowed to date her boyfriend Isaac because he was famous and well known in Mexico and the United States, and that helped their popularity in the west, through him. The fans also really seemed to like their backstory together, a childhood love, and it kept Minnie as a favorite among the fans as well as her talent.

Sun almost expected the car to come to a halt and for their manager to interrogate her right then and there. But she heard light snoring from the front passenger seat and she heaved a sigh of relief.

"Min," She hissed in something of a whisper. "I almost died right now."

"I'm so sorry." Minnie pleaded from beside her. "I was just so excited and proud of you. Our little maknae is growing up."

"I don't have a boyfriend." Sun said with a shake of her head, ready to deny it at all costs.

Minnie scoffed. "Don't even try to fool me. The smile on your face is the same smile see in people who are in love. Are you hungry?" She then asked the most random question, taking her friend by surprise.

The younger one shook her head, "Not really."

"So you are in love!" Minnie said in an excited whisper, her index finger pushed accusingly in Sun's face. When she noticed the confusion in the maknae, she proceeded to explain. "When I was a child living in Mexico, there was a saying that went around a lot. If you don't want to eat, then you're definitely in love. That's because you're so caught up thinking about your crush that you don't even have time to eat. I caught you red-handed, Sun."

Sun laughed. "That doesn't make any sense."

Minnie spent the rest of the car ride trying to get the maknae to confess that she was in love. But Sun refused without giving in. "And don't you even dare tell Sarang unnie about this, Min unnie." She warned. "She already thinks something is wrong with me, and I don't want her to think I have a boyfriend or anything crazy like that."

"Baby Lips sealed." She promised and pretended to zip her lips. "But I know the truth. I have a boyfriend, I know what it feels like. You can't fool me."

You don't know, Sun almost wanted to say. You're allowed to be with him freely.

They were caught in traffic with only one hour to spare before the fansign would end at the nearby mall. The area was a mess of cars that were trying to get into the city, some of them were unaware that the traffic was being caused by mobs of fangirls who were there to get autographs.

Tapping her fingers on the arm rest impatiently, Sun complained, "We'll never get there."

Within seconds, the traffic came to a complete stand still and Sun began to feel anxious. She had never missed any of the fansigns before and she liked being there to greet the fans. Her gaze was looking out her window to the sidewalk when she spotted a place to rent motor scooters. She quickly tugged on Minnie'a arm to get her attention.

"Min, I know how we can get there." She said.

The older girl quickly shook her head, refusing. "Oh no. We're not renting scooters. We don't even know how to drive them."

"Its just like riding a motorcycle." Sun insisted.

"Have you ever ridden a motorcycle?" Her friend wondered.

"No." The maknae replied. "But I'm sure its easy."

Minnie heaved a sigh, but didn't say no, which Sun took as a good sign. She knew Minnie wanted to be at the fansign too. They had both wanted to be there, but had been sent off to take pictures for a promo.

Reaching over to the front passenger seat, Sun shook their manager awake. "Manager Lina unnie." She called desperately.

The woman in the front seat was startled awake before she turned in her seat to see what the commotion was about. It was the groups maknae shouting things at her a hundred words per second, whilst she was only recovering from her initial shock and her grogginess. "Wait." She yawned, wiping her tired eyes. "Slow down, maknae. You need to speak slower. I can't understand you."

"Minnie and I can rent scooters to get to the fansign." Sun began to explain after taking a deep breath from having spoken so many words previously without pausing. "It'll be like a grand gesture. The visuals of Baby Lips making a sacrifice to meet their fans. Come on, it'll be awesome."

Their manager thought about it. "I trust Minnie," She began with a truthful confession. "But somehow I think you driving a scooter will not end well." Other than being the maknae, Sun was also known as being the most reckless of all the girls in the group. Filming variety shows were never a bore with her on board because she often liked to prank the other girls and was ready to do the stunts no one else wanted to do. She was their fearless member, the fearless maknae, as the fans called her online.

"I'll be careful, I swear." Sun promised.

"I don't know..." Lina the manager was reluctant.

"Please." The younger of the two girls begged.

There was a silence in the car before there was movement, but only a little bit. The car seemed to move forward about an inch before it stopped again. Looking at the watch around her wrist, Lina replied, "Okay fine. Go and we'll catch up to you as soon as this traffic clears." Shooting a look at Minnie, she added, "I trust you, Minnie. Watch her like a hawk."

Minnie nodded and Sun squealed with excitement, opening the door and jumping out of the stopped car with Minnie following behind her. They raced into the rental place and Sun ran up to the counter. "I need your fastest scooter right now please." She said to the person behind the counter in broken Chinese. She was a middle aged woman who didn't seem to recognize them, which made it easier for them to keep a low profile.

Her group member understood and quickly shook her head, stepping in front of the maknae to take over the situation. "Don't listen to her. We'd like two scooters of average speed." Turning to Sun, she said in Korean, "You can't be trusted with fast vehicles."

Sun pouted. "We want to get there today, Min unnie. Not next week."

"We'll get there." Minnie assured.

They filled out the rental paperwork and paid upfront for the borrowing of the scooters. Then the woman took them further into the shop and showed them the available ones. Sun practically ran, nearly knocking over another scooter as she passed it to get to a sunflower yellow colored one. Minnie took the nearest one to her, which was pink, and the girls took off.

-

"I told you we couldn't trust you with a vehicle." Minnie scolded with a groan as she saw the damage on the scooter and the car.

Everything had been fine until they were close to the mall. They could see it from a few feet off and there was a parking space behind a parked car, where the two scooters could fit. Sun thought she saw a car going for that parking space they wanted and sped forward in her scooter with Minnie calling after her.

Before they knew it, the maknae had crashed her scooter into the parked car.

People stopped nosily to see the damage cause and people immediately recognized her. That was when they started to snap pictures of the two girls at the scene of the crime.

"Now we have to wait for the owner of the car and Lina unnie to arrive so she can help sort this out." Minnie sighed, facepalming herself in embarrassment. By later that night, it was clear that their faces would be all over the news. Pledis wouldn't be happy about it.

But SM would surely be thrilled because it would give them the higher ground.

We don't have problematic idols, she could practically hear the statements posted by the rival agency. Our idols are well-behaved. As though EXO were the greatest thing that had ever happened to the world.

While they waited, Sun's phone beeped with tens of notifications blowing up her phone all at once. But she only opened the one she thought most important. It was from her boyfriend Yixing.

baobei<3: jagiya what happened? :(

baobei<3: are you okay?

baobei<3: this is going all over the news, http://www.allkpop.com/baby-lips-idol-involved-in-accident

She clicked on the link that he sent her to find her accident was already being talked about, not that she was surprised about it.

i was just trying to figure out how to incorporate the accident in order to make for more drama. i think this was the most effective way to do it. so we have reckless little maknae crashing her scooter into a parked car.
