Over the next two weeks, the rumors about Sun and Yixing were slowing down, but were still prominent on the gossip tabloids. Even though Sun and Pledis Entertainment denied it, followed about a week later by Yixing and his agency, people were not fully convinced that the two were not in some form of secret relationship.

All over the internet, proof blogs started surging which sought to provide evidence of Sun and Yixing together. For the time being, there wasn't much of anything concrete other than interviews which were bizarrely connected by fans and speculation. But Sun knew they needed to be more careful from then on if they didn't want to get caught and then exposed in front of the entire world.

Pledis also didn't full-on proceed with the dating rumors of Sun and Aron. Thought they did force the two of them to post little hints on their instagram accounts that were vague, but if one was smart enough, they could connect them as clues to the relationship.

With the Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards approaching, all three groups had been invited to attend and perform, along with others. Baby Lips, Nu'est, and EXO all under one roof. To the EXO boys, they didn't see a problem in Nu'est. But Yixing did because Aron was there and he would probably be around Sun the entire time.

As the date approached, Pledis was asked--in addition to their groups performing--to have two of their idols perform a love duet. Pledis Entertainment knew exactly who they would send out for the song.

The year before it had been Taeyeon from Girls Generation along with Taemin.

This year is was the time for Pledis to show off the talents of two of their own idols. 

Again, Sun found herself in a conference room, surrounded by executives who were there to decide her fate. Aron was there too, equally as bored as she was, and she didn't see the point in it. What was the point of having them there when their input and opinions were not even considered? They could have just as easily planned on their own and later informed them of it. 

"So we already have some of our best writers working on the song." One of the managers of Pledis announced.

Sun shook her head, finally speaking up for the first time since they entered the room. "I want to write the song." She told them firmly, quickly offering her explanation. Everyone in the room only looked at her. She had never written a song before, only helped as the writers and her group mates teamed up to write them. But none had been solely hers. "If we have a professional write it, its going to sound cold an uninviting. No one wants a love song that comes from the brain. Our fans like songs that come from the heart." 

She had noticed it when the songs that were written expressly by the writers--without the girls--were less popular than the ones where they had collaborated.

Aron agreed with a nod of his head. "That's true."

"Alright fine." The executive sitting at the head of the table sighed. Up until now Aron and Sun had been good about following their orders, which made it easier for them to be granted this opportunity to write the song. "But you will submit it to us for evaluation by the end of next week. If we like it, it will be used. If not, you have to sing what we give you."

Both idols nodded.

"But...can Aron sing or will he need special help?" Lina asked, looking at Aron and crinkling up her nose, earning her a death glare from the Nu'est group member. By special help, she had been referring to the likes of auto tune. "I thought he was a rapper."

"Of course he can sing." The manager of Nu'est who had accompanied Aron to the meeting replied, almost as though he was offended at her question. 

Another one of the executives in the room added, "And even if he falters, she can pick up the slack." 

"I'm sure Aron will do well." Sun defended. 

She found it careless how they were all saying things like that about him while he was in the room. Aron on the other hand was clearly annoyed by the comments, but chose to be speechless. 

"In the mean time, we've arranged for them to have a photo shoot together so we can start working on the promotional edits for our social media." Their executive in charge of creative social media campaigns said. 

Sun rolled her eyes.

Another photo shoot, she thought to herself.

Aron heaved a sigh.

There was so much planning involved, just to make their fake relationship appear real to everyone. Sun thought it was exhausting, and she began to question if it was all worth it.

The promotional picture had been posted on the Pledis Entertainment instagram page as well as the pages for Nu'est and Baby Lips. On there were speculations starting to form about Sun and Aron, which was what the agency wanted. Their fans were beginning to suspect that the girl in the photos Aron was posting was Sun. 

On that particular day, Sun had been excused from group activities to write the song with Aron.

The managers wanted it by the end of that week and they had a few ideas, but none that they could exclusively agree on. Everything Aron suggested wasn't what Sun wanted in the song, and everything she suggested wasn't to Aron's liking.

"Well how about this." She said with a sigh, her pen tapping on her notebook.

On there were something she had written for the chorus while Aron was droning on about what he wanted in the song. She tried to listen, and keep an open mind to what he was suggesting, but she just didn't exactly like his ideas. It wasn't that they were bad--per say-- but they just weren't her style. It wasn't something she would feel genuine singing about. Then there was the fact that he wanted to add things that were a little more explicit. Not overly explicit. Just enough that they sent a red tint onto her cheeks.

Sucking in a deep breath to prepare, she started singing:

"I remember the very first day that I saw you,
I felt what I had never felt before.
My heart set all its hopes and all its wishes

all on you, my love, and only on you.
But it never imagined it would suffer

without your love, my darling,
you are the light of my life."

Sun hadn't realized she had closed her eyes as she sang what she had written on the page. The words had poured out of her so fluidly, and she couldn't help but to think of her boyfriend as she sang them.

It was exactly the way she felt about Yixing.

Just as Aron opened his mouth to comment on her lyrics--a clear look that told her he hadn't liked it--they heard someone speak who had been standing by the door. They hadn't noticed it yet, but it was one of the managers, who walked into the room with a pleased smile on his lips. "Brilliant lyrics, Mae." He complimented her, and with that compliment, Aron's criticism went straight out the window. "Keep working as diligently as you are now and I'm sure the song will be ready in no time. What have you got for us, Aron?" He asked, looking to the boy sat across the table from Sun.

Aron heaved a sigh and read off the lyrics he had written in his own notebook.

The manager crinkled up his nose. "Good. But can use some improvement. Just keep working on it and you'll be fine."

Sun raised her hand high above her head like a school child waiting to be acknowledged by their teacher. When the manager looked at her, she asked, "Can we wrap up for today? The girls are working on a choreography for the group performance at the awards ant I don't want to fall behind." The girls had already finished their group practice for that afternoon, but Sun had arranged to work one on one with their instructor who was thrilled that she was so dedicated.

"Yes." The manager nodded. "You are dismissed. I'm sure Aron has some dance practicing of his own to do."

Sun nodded her head thankfully and stuffed her belongings into a gym bag that she brought along with her. Getting up from her seat, she raced out of the conference room in the Pledis building and went to find the practice room where her instructor was already waiting for her.

After dance practices ended for the day, the EXO boys piled into their agency cars to return to the dorms for a well deserved rest. Yixing had gotten in the same car as Lu Han and Sehun who were talking among themselves about getting some bubble tea at the mall later that night. They had invited Yixing, but he declined their offer, opting to use the rest of the afternoon to get some rest.

With his phone out, he opened his instagram app and typed in Sun's username. 

blm_sunshine.

He knew it by heart, but he didn't follow her on social media. Pledis artist and SM artists were supposed to all hate each other--and most did. Following her on social media would have been an atrocity that would send a new wave of rumors on its way to the internet. Gossip news was already filled with enough stories about them as it was.

The very first thing he saw on her page was a promo poster for a duet she was going to be singing with Aron Kwak at the upcoming awards show. Yixing wasn't exactly thrilled about it, but at least they hadn't yet started with their supposed dating rumors. They would probably build up to them over the period of a couple of weeks. He saw Sun and Aron standing next to each other, and it made his blood boil. 

It was a love song they would be singing together.

"You okay, hyung?" Sehun asked, noticing the drastic change in Yixing's mood. "You look like you want to throw your phone out the window."

That was exactly what he wanted to do in that moment. But he swallowed back the feeling and locked his phone, stuffing into his pocket. Nodding, he replied, "Yeah. I was just reading another article about those girls." He lied.

Sehun sighed and rolled his eyes in annoyance at the mention of them. "What did they say about us now?" He wondered.

"The usual." Yixing said.

"Leave the poor girls alone." Lu Han said to the two boys in the same car with him.

"They're the ones starting everything." Sehun argued. He was the same as Kai. The maknae line was not above fighting back against them, whereas the older boys were a bit more over it all.

"Just ignore them." Lu Han insisted.

Yixing took the advice for himself. He would ignore Sun and Aron flaunting their supposed budding relationship in front of everyone's faces. It was all for show anyway.

Sun loved him.
