"Go, go, go, keep running we can't stop now!", Zeke yelled as we ran across a desert for third time today. "

"Ummm, what exactly are we running from!?", exclaimed Vita frustrated.

" I don't know exactly what we're running from but, I have a feeling we're not alone. Just to be precise there's a ninety-eight point nine percent chance that the creatures following us aren't here for a tea party. That's the same percentage for the chance that iodine-"

"Please stop talking about that Athena you're making may brain hurt", Whines Nathaniel.

"That my job", Athena replies with a smirk.

" How about you all shut up and follow me so we find a nice log and sleep", yells Zander exasperated

" I agree, only we're in the middle of a desert", I chime in,
Plopping myself on the fire hot sand. As my mind starts to drift away I see a shadow above me.  I look up into the swirling orbs of ocean blue in Zander's eyes as he crouched down in front of me.

"You okay", he asks concerned as his usually animated face becomes masked with concern.

"Yeah, I guess I'm just sick of running. I just want to stay and fight whatever creatures are following us, I mean that's why we we're here, to rebuild a corrupted civilization from scratch so our people can live in peace on this planet." I say shrugging my shoulders

He nods slowly as the meaning of my words sink in.

" Lets vote", says Athena excitedly as her amber eyes light up with the thrill of doing mathematics.

"Sorry to burst your bubble Athena but if we vote it's not going to be complicated", Zeke replies.

"Very well then. I won't conduct the vote you do it." Says Athena pouting.

"Ok, raise your hand if you want to stay and fight.",says Zeke counting as he finishes talking."4 to 1, so we stay here and fight."

" You people are so stupid nothing should be that simple." Athena Huffs.

" Everyone does it this way Athena", says Zander apologetically.

" Then the world is stupid", snaps Athena rolling her eyes.

"Whatever you say Athena", says Vita mockingly.

"Oh, just shut up." Athena yells.

" How about everybody shut up because there's a random guy in nice clothes walking towards us and he looks suspicious." Snaps Nathaniel.

We all watch in astonishment as the man gets closer and closer until he's right in front of us.

"  He growls in a foreign tongue.

"Then so be it, but I will kill you first", he cackled hysterically as his gleaming eyes stared at us intensely.

I felt like I was flirting with death itself.
