Chapter {4}
We walk down the stairs. There are about 25 steps on the staircase. We are getting to the end when I see Ariana fall.
"Oh my goodness Ari!" I rush down and help her up, putting one hand around her waist and holding her hand with my other. I let go and she puts her hands on my shoulders.
"I don't know what happened." She says grimacing in pain. "I was walking, and I tripped." She tries to put her foot on the floor. "Ow."
"Are you alright?" I ask holding her arms.
She sighs. "I don't think so, I did something to my ankle."
"Alright I've got you." We start walking upstairs as Ariana holds on to me. She continues to struggle.
"This isn't working." She says brushing her hair away from her eyes.
"Don't worry." I pick her up and she blushes.
"You really don't need to carry me I'm fine." She says.
"Sorry but we need to get upstairs and we couldn't risk further injury for you." I smile.
"Well, then um, thanks."
When we finally get upstairs I set her on the velvet couch.
"What part of your foot is hurting?" I ask as I kneel by her.
She sighs. "My ankle, I think I sprained it."
I take off her converse and check out the ankle situation.
"I don't think it's sprained that badly. We just need to get you to a hospital and get it bandaged."
"No!" She says putting her arms out.
"Why not?" I asked with a puzzled look.
She sighs. "My parents would kill me if I sprained my ankle hanging out with a boy at a haunted house."
I look at the ground. "Oh, I'm that terrible huh?"
She sits up. "No way! You're awesome. They're just really protective. I mean you're a great photographer, you're a caring guy, you're not too bad looking and-"
I smirk at her. "You think so?"
Her face turns red. "I mean maybe." She bites her lip.
I try to hide my smile as I put her shoe back on. "Then we can drive you home and get you bandaged there. Come on."
I lift her up again, this time I'm really tempted to stare at her perfect hazel eyes. Wait what?
