Chapter 9: Lunch Time

It turns out our fears where useless. The Gleeful twins had simply vanished. We dropped off Mer-Mabel in the bathroom. A little color seemed to creep back to her face. Her pink tail spashed water everywhere.

(Writer's block is so much fun! I am Kayla and I sing!)

I turned to leave the bathroom and almost had a heart attack when I found the humanish Bill in the doorway. I felt uneasy around him.

Someone grabbed me by the shoulder and guided me out of the bathroom, slipping past Bill.

I noticed it was Dipper. He looked uneasy. Were were we going? From the looks of it, we where headed towards the twins' room.

He shut the door and turned to me. "Do you think we can trust them?" He asked me.

I shrugged. "The only one I'm positive that I don't like is that humanish Bill. He gives me the creeps."

Dipper nodded. "Me too." He took a deep breath. "I just wanted to thank you."

"For what?" I asked.

"Well, I guess just for coming," he said. "I know it was all on short notice and all that stuff..."

"Hey," I said. "What kind of friend leaves another in a time of need?"

Dipper smiled halfway. "I just wish it was on safter terms that you were here. We could have gone swimming, looking for not as life threatening adventures, met Mabel's old mermaid boyfriend Mermando-"

"Please," I said. "Almost dying's the fun part."

"Ha, ha," Dipper said. "Very funny." We where interupted by a loud grumble. Dipper's face slowly turned about three shades of pink darker and he held his stomach.

I snorted. "Looks like someone's hungry," I said.

"Oh, and your not?"

I shrugged. "I could eat."

"Great," Dipper said. "You can go start getting things ready and I'll go call the others."

I nodded. "Sounds like a plan."

We call sat at the table eating. We found a kiddy pool and filled it with water for Mer Mabel to sit it.

Deer Dipper sat on the ground munching on grass.

Dragon me was sitting sort of in a perched like way on her chair. She was eating some of Stan's red meat.

One again, Bill was nowhere to be found. I didn't mind that in the least. I was inwardly happy for it.

We all ate in silence. Just strangers, which was weird because they were sort of us.

"So," Mabel said, breaking the silence. "What did Grunkle Stan turn into?"

"A gargole," Deer Dipper said, his mouth full of grass.

"Cool!" Mabel said.

Mer Mabel and Deer Dipper exchanged looks. "H-he disapeared."

"What?" Mabel, Dipper, and I all said at once.

"He fell into our portal," Dragon me said.

"Really?" Dipper asked. "That happened to our Stan too!"

Deer Dipper stopped chewing on the grass in him mouth. "Really?"

Dipper and Mabel nodded. "About a week or so ago," Mabel said.

Mer Mabel and Deer Dipper exchanged looks. "No way!" He said. "Same with us too!"

"This couldn't be a coincidince," Dipper said. "What if all the different dimensions are connected in some way?"

Deer Dipper tapped his chin. "Maybe."

"Well y'all won't find out!"

Oh. I almost forgot about them.

We turned to see the Gleeful twins standing there.  They all had their arms crossed.

"Is that-"

"Yes," I said, cutting Dragon me off. "Its more alternet versions of us."

"How did you three escape?" Reverse Mabel asked.

"What does it matter to you?" I asked.

"And where's Soos and Melody?" Mabel asked.

Reverse Dipper balanced a dagger on his finger. "Alive."

I felt Mabel's tenseness loosen slightly.

Dipper stood up. He walked over to the Gleeful twins with his hands up in front of him. "Hey, man, we don't want any trouble. I mean, this is our dimension. Maybe things would be in your contol if we landed in your dimention, but your not. Consider yourself guests. You treat us nicely and we can respect you, but just randomly showing up at our front door and capturing us? Not the best move."

Reverse Dipper stood a few inches taller then Dipper because of his heels. "That's not exacly what we had in mind," he said with a smirk.

"Uh, Dipper?" I pointed to Reverse Mabel. Her eyes screamed murder along with her sly smile.

Dipper backed up a few steps. Negotiating wouldn't get us anywhere. They wouldn't agree and they never would.

Mabel came to her brother's rescue. "Grapling Hook!" She screamed. She stood on the table and hit Reverse Mabel in the ribs with her grapling hook. Reverse Mabel was thrown backwards off her feet.

Reverse Dipper gritted his teeth and grabbed the dagger from his finger. "You kids've gotta learn some mannors."

"Oh yeah?" Dipper asked. "I could tell you the same thing."

Reverse Dipper held the knife to Dipper's throat. "I'd watch that tounge," Reverse Dipper said. "Or my hand might slip, and I'll cut it out."

I couldn't see Dipper's face, but he slowly started to back up. Ms hand crept onto the counter and he grabbed the closest thing to him. He jumped back and held the cutting board up like a sheild. "I didn't wanna do this, man," he said. "But you gave me no choice."

Reverse Dipper stabbed the cutting board. If he had used even a little more force, it might have gone through the thing. Had Bill given them super human strength too?

Dipper threw the cutting board to the side to make sure Reverse Dipper wouldn't retrive his weapon. Aparently Reverse Dipper didn't need weapons. He grabbed the front of Dipper's hoodie.

I was about to interfere when Deer Dipper trotted up. He didn't look like much, with his little baby horns and weak deer legs. "I'd suggest letting him go," Deer Dipper said.

Reverse Dipper sneered. "What are you gonna do? Frolic me out of here? Threaten me with your baby horns?"

Deer Dipper raised an eyebrow. "Okay, man, you asked for it." He went up on his hind legs and kicked out with his forelegs. They hit Reverse Dipper square in the chest, knocking him against the wall. Deer Dipper had grabbed Dipper's hood, just to make sure he wouldn't go flying too.

"Whoa!" Dipper said. "That was amazing!"

Deer Dipper shrugged. "Not really. Horses do it. Why can't deer?"

"Well, I guess we should take care of these two," I said, standing up and walking over to the dazed Gleeful twins. Well, I thought they we're dazed. Reverse Mabel grabbed my ankle and pulled it out from under me and I fell into the heap.

I struggled to escape until I felt cool metal against my neck. "Make one move, and she dies."
