Chapter 6: Kayla the Sock Puppet
I was possesing a crudly made sock puppet. It was beat up, but it still worked.
I couldn't get the ropes off Mabel and Dipper. They seemed to be enchanted or something.
Aparently Reverse Dipper and Mabel had been down since I left to find a vesel to posses. Now Mabel and Dipper were gagged too. Aparently they were calling for help or something.
Things where still flying out of the machine. What else could be coming? My little ponies?
The Reverse Bill was crying in the corner. His hands where still chained together and the other end was connected to the wall. Since I had no one else to talk to, I floated over to him. Best to get some answers, right?
As I floated over to him, he pushed himself against the wall. I rolled my eyes. "Gee, I'm not gonna hurt you."
"W-who are you?"
"You know that demon?"
"Kayla?"
"Yes. She's the alternet univese form of me. I only know you because the Bill from here gave us some probems last time I was in Gravity Falls."
"I don't know anything!" Revese Bill said. He was looking directly at me. Not my puppet. Me. It was weird.
"Are you sure?" I asked. "Why do Dipper and Mabel have you captive?"
"Oh, the Gleeful twins? They had this book-"
"Gleeful twins?" I interuped. "You mean the Pine twins."
Reverse Bill shook his head. "No, Gleeful. G-L-E-E-F-U-L. Not Pines. Pines is the name of that Gideon kid."
I blinked and shook my head. "You know what, nevermind. What about this book?"
"Well, it was all about the mysteries of the town Gravity Falls. It had me in it and they used me to their advantage. They kidnapped me and they use my powers to make them more powerful. Like, their mind reading."
Mind reading? Gee they really sound like Gideon.
The elevator dinged.
I jumped and hid behind a rafter in the ceiling. Bill cowered in his corner and the twins looked up. Reverse Dipper walked up to normal Dipper. "Well, well, well," Reverse Dipper said. "How's our little Pine Tree?"
Dipper tried to say something, but the gag blocked it.
It was scary how much they looked like each other. Only their eye color was different. I felt like I was seeing double.
"And Mabel," Revese Dipper said, going in front of her. "How's our little Shooting Star doing?"
Mabel glared at him and kicked him in the shin.
Reverse Dipper gritted his teeth and raised his hand. He smacked down on Mabel's cheek with a smack. Mabel gave a muffled cry.
Dipper struggled against the ropes. Reverse Dipper smirked. "What? Do you not like that, kid?"
Dipper let out a muffled rant, probably nothing warm and fluffy.
Reverse Dipper grabbed original Dipper's chin, narrowed his eyebrows and smirked. "Little Dipper gonna get angry? I'd enjoy watching that."
I felt helpless. Mabel and Dipper were in trouble and me, being a stuipid sock puppet, couldn't do anything to help!
Reverse Dipper punched original Dipper in the gut. Dipper let out a muffled groan and went to kick Reverse Dipper where it hurt, but R-Dipper was ready. He snapped his fingers and coils of rope wrapped Dipper's legs around the chair legs.
"Just give it up, kid," R-Dip said. (What kind of nicknames do I even come up with?) "We have the upper hand here. You're tied up and can easily be rid of. If I were you, I'd calm down, and be a good little captive. captives don't get hurt."
Dipper murmured something, but the gag once again muffled it.
"Hope y'all have a nice night," Reverse Dipper said as he walked to the elevator. "I'll see you bright and early tommorow." Then he was gone.
I sighed and floated down to where Mabel and Dipper where. "You two okay?" I asked.
Mabel nodded. She said something that sounded like Dip? Through the gag.
Dipper's eyebrows where knit together, but he nodded.
"You two'd better get some sleep. Or, as much sleep as possible. If you want me to, I could spy on those weirdos. I could try and figure out what they're planning."
Mabel shrugged. I didn't understand what she said, but it sounded like she agreed. Not sure about Dipper. He still looked like he was in pain from that punch in the gut. Eh, fifty percent's good enough, right?
I went and sat down next to Reverse Bill. His eyes were looking back and forth in fear. "Its the nights when they strike the hardest."
His voice was barely a whisper, which made it almost creepier then if he'd just said it out loud.
"Goodnight, Bill," I said.
He didn't answer me. He continued to hug his legs, rocking back and forth. I turned away and rolled my eyes. It was weird seeing Bill like this. All of this just seemed wrong.
I closed my eyes and fell into a dark, black hole of forgotten dreams.
