Chapter 21

Soos and Melody were trapped in some sort of bubble. I had a bad feeling about it. They were suspeded in the air, eyes closed and not moving. I was afraid they were dead, but I could sense their heartbeat. I guess demon senses aren't all bad.

Dipper stepped forward and was about to touch the bubble.

"Wait!" I said. Dipper froze and glanced back at me. "I-It doesn't feel right to me."

"Well we have to try," Dipper said. He put his hand on the bubble and instantly he drew back with a yelp. His hand was bright red and blistering.

There was laughter. Billy appeared, leaning on the bubble. "You may be smart, Pine Tree," she sneered. "But you're gonna have to think outside the box for this."

The bubble didn't seem to hurt Billy at all. I reached forward and the bubble solidified under my touch. I drew my hand back and I semi-liquified again. I had a crazy plan forming in my head.

"See you two later," Billy said. And she disapeared with that.

I turned to Dipper. "I think I've got a plan."

"Great," Dipper said. "What is it?"

I looked around the room. "Try to find something that's big enough to smash through glass."

Dipper nodded and looked around the cave we were in. There wasn't much, but he did run outside and grab a good sized branch. I nodded. "Okay, so I'll solidify the glass while you smash through it with your stick," I said.

"You sure it'll work?" Dipper asked.

I shook my head. "Nope, but it doesn't hurt to try."

I hovered my hand over the bubble. It imediatly turned glass like. "Okay," I said. "Now!"

Dipper smashed through the bubble. I moved to a different spot and he made the hole bigger, until one of us could fit through. He crawled through and grabbed Melody's arm. Imediatly, the bubble closed again. "Uh, oh," I whispered. I grabbed the stick, put my hand out and tried to smash through the glass. It didn't work this time. All it did was crack it, but they disapered fast. I hit it harder. Still no luck.

That won't work, said a voice inside my head. I turned around and I was face to face with Billy.

"Okay," I said quietly. "You win. What do you want?"

"Your powers," Billy said.

"My...powers?" I asked. "What would you want with them."

Billy grabbed my shoulders and flipped me around. Dipper was slowly losing energy. I could tell he was trying to fight it, but it seemed to be getting the best of him.

"If you give me your powers, I'll return you all to your own dimention."

"How can I trust you?" I asked.

"On my word as a demon," Billy said.

"Let me guess," I said. "When the clock strikes zero, all my friends will be dead and I'll have to find my own way out of here."

"Yup!" Billy said. " and you have," she checked a watch. "Five minutes to decide."

I bit my lip. I knew I wanted to get rid of these stupid powers...but I wasn't sure I was ready to live without them. They'd become a part of me that I wasn't sure how I functioned without. But my friends were in danger and I had to stop Billy from killing them. I sighed. "Fine," I said. "But you have to make sure we're all fixed up on top of our previous deal." I held up my hand.
"Deal," the demon said, lighting her hand on fire.

I felt the excrutiating pain of being ripped apart. I knew I screamed and I later felf my wet cheeks and knew I had cried. Billy had literally tore my reality self from my imaginary self. I was curled up on a ball when I woke up the next time. Dipper was leaning over me. We were back in our own dimention, too. He looked a lot better then before. "Kayla?" He said. "Are you okay?"

I shook my head slowly. "No." I said. "I feel like I'm gonna be sick."

Dipper helped me into the bathroom and I imediatly started to puke into the toilet. I felt absolutly horrible. My throat was on fire and I felt strangely small and insignificant. I collapsed on the floor, shaking uncontrolaby.

"What did Billy do to you?" Dipper whispered.

It took two days for me to recover from having my powers stripped from me. It was like when I forget to drink coffee in the morning but ten times worse. People would come to check on me from time to time, but I was mostly left alone to recover.

When I was finally feeling better, I started to feel insignificant and weak without my powers. Everyone knew, and that made it even worse. They never said it, but I felt so useless! The Dippers were smart, the Mabels were nice, the mes were cool...but what was I? A girl with no powers who would much rather read then deal with evil dream demons or reversed selves. Suddenly, I wanted no part of this. And I was prepared to tell anyone that.

Well...except for Caleb. It was really weird. Did I have a crush on an alternet genderbent version of myself? I don't know. And I really didn't want to think about it.

Melody and Soos were recovering well, along with the Stans. I'll do a quick head count in case you forgot all that are here. Me, Mabel, Dipper, Caleb, Marco, Dip, Deer Dipper, Mer Mabel, Dragon Me, Will, Stan, Gargoyle Stan, Stella, Melody and Soos. It was starting to get a little crowded in the Shack. We couldn't let the alternet dimentions of ourselves go out, so they were stuck here while we went to get groceries and other supplies from town. Me and Stan were the only ones with cars and neither of them were very reliable. Bills and reverse versions of us were trying to hunt us down but we rarely saw them since the teleportation thingy was all messed up.

Things were getting a little stressful when we decided to hold the meeting.

Crappy ending, I know, but I didn't know how else to end.
