Chapter 11: In the Slammer

My entire body felt numb, like someone had injected me with that stuff the dentist gives you when they're about to fill a cavity. Isn't it called like Nocicane or something? Well, whatever. I didn't want to open my eyes. The longer I didn't move, the better I felt. I slowly opened my eyes.

The room was entirely white. White walls, white floor, white toilet, white bed, white door... I was in a prison.

I stood up slowly, feeling woozy. What was I doing here? I walked over to the door and tried to use my powers to melt it away, but they didn't work. I tried again. This time, a shock went though my body. I shook my head to clear it. I guess I was staying for a bit.

I went over and sat on the bed, if you cound even call it that. It was hard as wood and had no bedding. I sighed. Where were we exacly? Wait, were the others even with me?

Someone opened the door. It was Reverse Dipper. "Ah, you're awake."

"What do you want with me?" I growled at him.

Reverse Dipper turned and locked the door behind him. He was in a baby blue suit now that reminded me of Gideon. He walked slowly over to me. "I want to tell you the secrets that your other friends have already spilled and maybe even get some from you."

"In your dreams," I said, crossing my arms. "My friend would never tell you anything!"

Reverse Dipper raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really?"

His confidence made me hesitate. Could this guy really spill secrets that easily, or did he have to get his hands dirty?

"Well, you're not getting anything from me," I tried to say with confidence.

His face was about an inch or so away from mine. I leaned back a little, narrowing my eyebrows. "I'll admit, it wasn't easy getting that information," he said. He took out a knife that looked like it had new bloodstains on it. I gasped before I could stop myself.

"Oh, don't worry," Reverse Dipper said. "It was nothing fatal."

"You monster," I growled.

"Now that's not fair! Look to yourself before you judge others. Correct me if I'm wrong," Reverse Dipper was saying, with a slysmile on his face. "But aren't you part demon?"

"At least I can control it," I said. "And I only use it for good."

"Sure," Reverse Dipper said. "Good."

I didn't like the tone in his voice. He was proding at my weak points. I changed the subject. "How can you prove that you actually got my friends to talk? What if you're just too proud to say that you can't scare a couple of kids with those kitchen knives of yours?"

"Oh, I think you know I'm telling the truth," Reverse Dipper said. "But, I guess you need evidence. My sister's clone is a boy crazy, sparkly girl who had a mermaid boyfriend for some time. The mermaid version of her still has said boyfriend in her dimention and her brother was the cause of their changing."

"That's not evidence," I said. "Mabel would tell anyone this."

Reverse Dipper raised an eyebrow. "She also told me about three years ago, about you. How you gained your demon powers, tried to kill her and her brother, multiple times." I opened my mouth to protest, but he went on. "Also about the author who lost his mind. She told me that he was her grandfather. He tried to take over the town, I think you know."

I sort of knew about it. Mabel and Dipper hadn't really gone into too much detail about it. I started to wonder if this guy knew more about it then I did.

"What I want to see, is your powers."

"Too bad, genius," I said. "This room is power proof."

"That can be bent at my will," Reverse Dipper said.

I sighed and held out my hand. You never knew when your concentration would break and you'd lose your mind. A small flame licked my hand. Reverse Dipper was looking at it, like his life depended on it. Before he could stop me, I flicked my hand to try and make a fireball hit him in the face.

My plan went kind of downhill from there.

Instead of the fireball throwing him back or melting his face off (I would have been fine with either), he seemed to absorb the blast. He glared at me. "You shouldn't have tried that."

He grabbed my wrists and pressed them, hard, against the jail bed. Some sort of shackles clamped over them right after Reverse Dipper let go of me. "You're gonna answer my questions, or you're gonna regret it."

"I'll regret answering your questions," I said, narrowing my eyebrows at him.

"Then I guess its a lose, lose for you."

When he finally left, I collapsed on bed. Several shallow cuts on my body were bleeding. He'd gotten more information then I wanted him to get. The weird thing was, I don't even remember whati told him.

I choked out a sob, then a rush of tears. I just layed there, curled up in the fetal position, sobbing my eyes out. This place was really playing with my emotions. And my thoughts. I typically had a bad memory, but I'd remember something like that. The more I tried to remember, the more I forgot. Even getting the cuts now on my body. Judging by how many I had, maybe I wasn't a complete failure and I actually tried to keep my mouth closed.

There was a scream. I wasn't sure who it was or were it came from, but they sounded like they were in extream pain. I wanted to be out of this horrible place, wherever it was.
