If you want to look innocent, pink is the way to go!

That night I went to sleep very confused. Simeon and I hated each other, and now? I get it that he probably did it to get Sawyer to back off, but did he mean what he said? I didn't say another word to Simeon and just decided to go to bed after the whole ordeal. And what happened to Todd? He couldn't have gone missing out of the blue, that's almost impossible when you're in the Capital. I didn't fall asleep until nearly four in the morning, and was woken up two hours later by Simeon. I reluctantly opened my eyes as he looked at me with concern.

"You look like you didn't get any sleep..." He said. Bags were probably under my eyes, but I couldn't care less.

"I only got two hours of sleep last night.." I mumbled. His eyes widened.

"I'd let you sleep, but we've got to meet Sparkles to train for the interviews." I groaned and got up from the couch, popping my back in the process. I grabbed an orange and started peeling it. Simeon led me into the room where Sparkles was. I walked in and I saw something that I absolutely hated........high heels. I groaned again and rolled my eyes.

"Do I really have to wear heels? Why can't I wear flats?" Sparkles rolled her eyes back at me and gestured me to put them on. I sat down and slipped the shoes on, almost instantly falling down. Simeon steadied me luckily, or I would've fallen flat on my butt.

"Aww!" Sparkles squealed, looking back and forth between the two of us. My face flushed as Simeon slowly backed up, making sure I wouldn't trip.

"Now, walk across the room for me, gracefully." I held out my hands to my side to balance myself, and was somehow managed to walk across the room. She then gestured for me to walk back to where I was, without my arms out. I did that, but on the last couple of steps I tripped and Simeon caught me. I looked up at him and we locked eyes. We both began to lean in until Sparkles cleared her throat.

"Yes! That's what we'll do!" Simeon steadied myself again before we both looked at Sparkles with curiosity.

"What?"

"Simeon, during the interviews you'll make sure to tell Caesar that you are going to protect her! And even mention the kiss!" I shook my head.

"No! That was a very private moment between us that we are planning to keep private. Right, Simeon?" I looked over at him and he nodded slowly.

"Besides, how could you know about the kiss? You were knocked out!" She giggled in response.

"I'll never tell you! Now, let's work on that innocent act because you don't look innocent."

For the next four hours, Simeon and I worked on our interviews and I continued to practice walking in heels. Sparkles kept trying to convince about the protection thing, but I replied with a head shake every time. She also delivered the news to me that I would be wearing a pink dress.

"What?! No! I refuse to wear pink!" I yelled. Simeon chuckled and I shot him a death glare.

"If you want to look innocent, pink is the way to go."

"What about lavender? That's a pretty innocent color..." I mumbled, crossing my arms.

"But not as innocent and cute as pink!" She then shuffled the both of us out and I groaned.

"I don't want to wear pink! I hate pink.." I mumbled to myself again, looking down. Simeon then lifted my chin up so we were looking each other in the eye.

"You're going to look beautiful in pink." My cheeks flushed to a bright red color and I then cleared my throat and turned away.

"I-I'm off to go take a shower." I laughed nervously. He nodded and I practically ran into our bathroom and slam the door.

I sigh in relief as I start the shower, and set the scents to a mix of lavender and sweet pea. After taking off my pajamas I hop into the shower and smile. Finally, I was alone, I thought. I hear the bathroom door slam and a figure walking toward me.

"Simeon? What are you doing in here?" I couldn't see who it was properly, with being in the shower and all. I was then slammed against the shower wall and kissed. I pushed the person away and gasped when I realized it was Sawyer. He was smiling like a maniac, looking at me like I was his property. I tried to cover myself but he stopped me.

"Don't act like you haven't wanted this." I shook my head and tried to get away from him.

"No! I haven't!" I yelled, exiting the shower but then was slammed against the shower again. I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head and my vision went blurry.

"Well, you're gonna get it." He was about to start kissing me again, but his head was slammed against the shower wall and he was knocked out. I couldn't tell who did it.

"Eris, are you alright? Please tell me you're alright..." I looked up and saw Simeon, with his eyes covered and a towel in hand. He reached over and turned off the shower and walked out of it, covering me with the towel. I stood up and wrapped it around me.

"Get dried off.....there's a robe hanging on the door." I heard the door close and I quickly dried off and put the robe on. I walked out and hugged him tightly, bursting into tears. My mind was racing, my head was pounding, and the tears wouldn't stop. Simeon just held me close, and didn't dare to let go until I was ready. I finally let go but I wouldn't meet his eyes.

"Are you alright?" Simeon asked me. I shook my head no, but yelped when the pain in the back of my head got worse. He ran off and grabbed Sparkles, who immediately kneeled down next to me with concern.

"What happened?" She asked. I began crying again, something I never did around people, and Simeon explained it all. She gasped and quickly ran off (she was in really high heels, so I have no idea how she could've ran that fast) and came back with what I was assuming was painkillers and water. I took them and was commanded to lay down by Simeon. I did, and almost instantly wanted to fall asleep with the silk sheets and fluffy blankets. I look over and see Sparkles dragging Sawyer out of my bathroom, and into the living room. I laughed, not expected her to be so strong. Simeon brushed my hair away from my face and smiled.

"Try to fall asleep. You still have a couple of hours before you need to get up and get ready." I nodded and almost instantly fell into a dreamless sleep.

"Eris? We need to get you ready for the interviews." I opened my eyes to see Amelia, smiling at me softly. I nodded and got up from my bed and she led me over to a chair she had set up. I sat down as she began working on my hair, pulling it in tons of different directions until she was finally finished. Then she got out various makeup brushes and products, and started to cover up the bags under my eyes. She looked at me with concern as she applied the foundation.

"Did you not get much sleep?"

"No." I replied simply, not really wanting to get into it. Amelia realized that I didn't want to talk much, so she just began humming as she finished my makeup. I stood up to look at myself, but Amelia shook her head.

"I want it to be a big final reveal! So, no looking!" Amelia had me close my eyes and I heard something unzip, and rustling of fabric. Must be my dress, I thought. A few minutes later I could feel the soft fabric on my body, heels on my feet, and what I'm assuming is a headband on my head. I heard her step back and squeal.

"You can open your eyes.......now!" I opened my eyes and my hand flew to my mouth as I looked at myself. Even though I hated the color pink, the dress was absolutely beautiful. Sparkles was right, pink really is the color of innocence. I spun around in it and then took notice of the headband on my head. It was more of a tiara than a headband, and it was outstanding.

"Amelia, you did amazing!" I hugged her gratefully and she hugged back.

"I knew you'd love it!" She looked at the diamond watch she was wearing and gasped.

"You're gonna be late!" Amelia then took my hand and dragged me all the way down to where the rest of the tributes were. I saw Caesar sitting with his microphone, waiting for the music to play and the lights to come up. Finally, they did and he smiled at the camera and stood up. I had to say, he still looked exactly the same from when my father was in the games. But this year, he had chosen to wear the same bubblegum pink Sparkles was wearing earlier. Caesar greeted the audience and the interviews began. I wanted so badly to burst out in laughter during Opal's interview. She was clearly all over the place, and wasn't answering the questions Caesar was asking, you could really tell that he was at a lost of what to do until her time was up. I tuned the rest of district one's interviews out, and quickly began paying attention again when Sawyer and Isis were called. They were doing it in twos, just like they did with the bedrooms. Iris walked out in a beautiful teal dress, that looked like a peacock. Her hair was done up beautifully as well, and she had peacock feathers here and there. They shook hands with Caesar and sat down on the love seat.

"Isis and Sawyer! You both did amazing in training! How'd it feel, getting those high scores?" He asked. Isis opened her mouth to answer, but Sawyer interrupted her.

"It felt absolutely amazing. It's clear that I'm going to end up winning with a score that high." Sawyer said cockily. Isis faked a laugh and I could tell that she was resisting the urge to roll her eyes. I felt so bad for her since they're roommates.

"I honestly didn't expect a score that high. I thought I completely blew it."

"Well clearly, you didn't. Am I right folks?" The crowd started cheering and I smiled. They were all cheering for Isis. I was hoping she was going to get sponsors.

"Now Isis, you must've been heart broken when you were reaped in the games with your little sister." Isis nodded and I looked down. Why did it have to happen like that?

"Yes, I was. But I am planning on protecting her-" She was interrupted yet again by Sawyer.

"As am I. She's just a frail little thing, can't even use a weapon properly." The audience gasped a little, since they didn't expect Cato's daughter to not know how to wield a weapon properly. Isis faked a smile once again, and took a deep breath.

"Eris knows how to use throwing knives. But she's still improving on her skills." Thank you Isis, I thought. I needed to remember to punch Sawyer later on.

"That's good, that's good. Sawyer, why did you volunteer?" Sawyer smirked and sat up straight.

"I want to kill all of these losers, which I can obviously do in the blink of an eye. Plus, I need to protect my love, Eris." My eyes widened as I was about to march on that stage, but strong arms held me back. The audience gasped and squealed once Sawyer announced the news.

"And I'm sure you'll protect your love. Everyone, Isis and Sawyer of District 2!" They all stood up, and were hurried off the stage. Before I could punch Sawyer, someone shuffled Simeon and I onto the stage.

"And now welcome, Eris and Simeon of District 2!" Simeon and I walked out to Caesar hand in hand, soon sitting down on the love seat together. I let go of his hand and smiled sweetly at Caesar.

"Welcome, Eris and Simeon. Eris, I was going to ask you this later on but I'm just too excited about it! How do you feel about Sawyer?" He grinned excitedly, pointing the microphone in my direction.

"Actually Caesar, we're just friends. We dated once, but I'm over him." I replied, very bluntly. He was taken aback, but recovered quickly.

"Oh really? Then do you-" Simeon interrupted him and took my hand.

"We, are together Caesar." I was shocked, I didn't think we were a thing. Then, Simeon shocked me even more by passionately kissing me in front of all Panem. I melted into the kiss as I heard the crowd scream in excitement. We pulled away simultaneously and smiled.

"Wow, wow, wow! This was so unexpected!" Caesar said, up on his feet.

"Not just to you Caesar, but to us too." I told him, and he rose an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Oh? Do tell us your love story! Wouldn't we all like to hear it?" The citizens of the Capital screamed in response. I took a deep breath of like the hundredth time today.

"We originally hated each other, but these last few days we've grown closer than I thought we ever would." I blushed while telling the story. We hear a buzzer in the distance go off, and know our time was up. Simeon and I stood up, kissing once again for the audience.

"Eris and Simeon of District 2!" We walked off the stage and decided to avoid all questions from our mentor and escort, going back up into our bedroom. I locked the door behind us so no one would barge in, rapid firing questions at us. Simeon and I's lips met once again as we kissed with more passion than before. I slowly began leading us over to the bed and Simeon pushed me down on it with a smirk. He was about to climb on top of me until he cursed. I looked at him with concern.

"What? What is it?" I immediately thought the worse and thought he was backing out of it.

"We need protection..." I bit my lip and looked down.

"Simeon, I don't think there's any...." I gazed back up at him and he smirked again, before shrugging and climbing on top of me.
