Ah, ah, ah! Think about the children!

I woke up from my deep slumber by Simeon shaking me violently. I hit him with a pillow and he began shaking me again. I groaned and turned to meet his eyes.

"What?" I asked, not really wanting to put up with him. He rolled his eyes at me and yanked the warm blankets off of me. I sat up, ready to punch him.

"You need to get up and get ready for training." I noticed that he was in athletic clothes, with the number two sewn onto the sleeves. I kicked him out of the room and quickly began to put on the clothes I was provided. It was tight fitting, but I didn't really mind all that much. I walked out of the bedroom and grabbed an apple before heading to the elevator and down to the training center.

When I arrived I saw Simeon and Isis talking and I walked over to them.

"Hey, Isis. Where's Todd?" Isis shrugged in response. I thought that was a little strange since they were temporary roommates. I shrugged it off and waited for the other tributes to arrive. After about fifteen minutes all of the other tributes arrived, and I'll admit that I completely forgot that there's forty-eight tributes this year. Finally, Todd came running in with his eyes frantic.

"Am I late?"

"Ye-" Simeon started to stay, but I elbowed him.

"No! Right on time." I smiled. We were all then allowed to go off wherever we wanted in the training center. I walked over to the knot tying station and started working on learning different types of knots to tie and how to make snares. Todd walked over to me and knelt down.

"Need help?" He asked. I shook my head.

"I got this! I may be small but I can handle myself!" I then continued memorizing the different types of knots and snares and completely forgot that Todd was there, watching me. When I decided that I was bored with the knot tying, I got up and ended up running into Todd and tripping. I braced myself for impact but Todd caught me quickly. We stared into each others eyes until our moment was ruined.

"Love birds! You're supposed to be training, not making out!" I heard someone snicker. I got out of Todd's grasp and saw the tributes from one and four all huddled together. They seemed to be led by some girl who looked about eighteen and had white hair. They walked over to us with the girl in front.

"What do you want?" I growled.

"I just wanted to talk to the two love birds about being in an alliance with us. I'm Opal, nice to meet you." Opal had a smug look on her face as she held her hand out for me to shake it. I put her hand down back to her side.

"Wish I could say likewise." I said with a slight smirk on my face. Her face started to turn red.

"If I say I want to talk to you, I get to talk to you." Opal crossed her arms, trying to calm down. A girl who was noticeably younger than her started fanning her.

"I-It's alright. Calm down, Opal..." The little girl trailed off, fanning Opal faster. I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"Oh, so you have your own little servant? I bet you couldn't even survive on your own in the arena without someone doing all the work for you. Spoiled brat." SMACK. Next thing I knew, Opal had slapped me right across the face. I held my hand to my cheek and started laughing.

"You really think a slap can phase me? Bring it on." I said, throwing a punch which to my surprise was blocked. She had a hold of my wrist and I started laughing again. Using my other arm I successfully punched her in the mouth and she let go of my wrist. I rubbed my wrist as she looked back up at me in hatred.

"You little bitc-"

"Ah, ah, ah! Think about the children!" I then tackled her to the ground and we started fighting. We did the classic girl fight moves, pulling each others hair and stuff. We were then pulled apart by two peacekeepers. I struggled to get out of their grasp but finally calmed down after a minute or so. After Opal was free, she attempted to run at me again but was quickly tackled and knocked out by Simeon. I was shocked that he actually did that for me. As Opal was taken to the infirmary, I walked over to Simeon.

"Thanks for that." Simeon turned to me, visibly shocked that I was thanking him.

"You're welcome, I guess." He replied. I attempted to walk off but he grabbed my wrist.

"It'd be best to stay away from her at all times. I heard that she's literally insane." Simeon let go of my wrist and walked off.

Over the next few days I was able to learn the basics of plants, knot tying and even how to make a fire. I was now sitting in a room with the rest of the many tributes, waiting for my name to be called. I was pretty nervous, even though I know what score I was planning on getting. I was planning to get a pretty low score, so I wasn't paid attention to and seen as a threat, but an easy kill. I went over the plan with my mentor, and it was agreed to happily. I thought of the plan from when Johanna Mason was in the games, where she did the exact same thing and won.

"Simeon Adrian." I heard over the intercom. Simeon shot a nervous smile at me before going into the training center, to be evaluated by the gamemakers. Over the past few days Simeon and I had gotten somewhat along, after that day during training when he tackled Opal. We even agreed to take turns on the couch and the bed, which is something I never thought would happen. A few minutes later, Simeon came out more confident then he was when he went in. I rose an eyebrow at him.

"How do you think you did?" I asked.

"I think I did pretty okay. Hopefully enough to get more than a seven." Simeon walked out and assumingly, back to our bedroom.

"Eris Callisto." I stood up and walked into the room with my head held high, so I could hopefully throw them off. Showtime, I think.

"Ah, Eris. I've heard about you. Your father is Cato, winner of the seventy-fourth and seventy-fifth Hunger Games." A familiar voice said. I looked up to see President Drew, watching along with the rest of the gamemakers. I smiled up at him.

"Do whatever you need to do, you have ten minutes. If you need anything, let us know. Start when you're ready." I nodded and walked over to the knives. I purposely trip and grabbed a few of the small throwing knives. I started to throw them horribly, making myself seem weak. I only hit the target once, but that was on the leg of the target. After a few more minutes of this, I stopped and I was quickly dismissed. I walked out and back up to my bedroom and plopped down on the bed, even though it was Simeon's turn and he was laying on the bed. He looked at me with concern.

"Didn't go so great?" He asked. I held my head up and then nodded with a smirk forming on my face.

"It went perfectly. Well, as I planned anyway." I shrugged, and grabbed a dark raspberry chocolate chunk truffle and bit into it. Simeon and I have grown to absolutely love the Capital's truffles, and would even throw them to attempt to catch them in our mouths.

"So, you were able to pull off the helpless act?" I nodded and ate the rest of the truffle.

"I tripped on the way over to the throwing knives, and only managed to hit the target once out of the thirty times I threw a knife." I grabbed another truffle and put the whole thing in my mouth, only to spit it back out.

"What?" Simeon asked, almost laughing at the face I was making.

"Tiramisu." I said, taking a drink out of the bottle of water I had nearby. I had never liked coffee, which was funny because my father lives off of coffee and drank it all the time. Simeon chuckled to himself. Before I could respond, Sparkles burst into our room with an excited expression on her face.

"It's about to start! Come on, come on!" She had the most ridiculous outfit on, and her hair was now a bubblegum pink. Simeon and I walked out and sat on the couch, waiting for Caesar Flickerman to show up on the television. He was still alive, much to my surprise, and looked like he hadn't aged a bit. But, I did know that this was his last year as the official interviewer of the Hunger Games, since he was retiring and his son was taking over. I heard Panem's anthem being played and the T.V. came on with a very excited Caesar greeting us all. I tuned out all of district one's scores, and was brought out of my daze when Caesar had gone to district two.

"Eris Callisto...................four." He was visibly shocked, and I smirked. So my plan had worked after all. I heard Sparkles dramatically gasp and then faint, making a huge THUMP. I guess I forgot to tell her my plan. After Caesar recovered from his shock, he moved on.

"Isis Callisto..................ten." I applauded my sister and she jokingly bowed. I giggled and turned my attention back to the T.V.

"Simeon Adrian..............seven." I turned to Simeon and he frowned a bit. I've seen what he could do with a sword, and he only got a seven? I expected Todd's face to appear on the screen, but was greeted by Sawyer's.

"Sawyer Adrian................ten." I sat up in rage as I looked around the room for Todd, but he was nowhere to be found. I was then kissed sloppily and I smacked whoever kissed me, off. I gasped and saw Sawyer.

"Missed me?" I was at a lost for words and my mouth was hung open. Simeon stood up and slapped Sawyer.

"What are you doing here?!" He screamed at him. I didn't blame him, Simeon absolutely despised Sawyer.

"Todd went missing out of the blue, so another Reaping was held in our district. I volunteered." Sawyer snaked his arm around my waist and squeezed my bottom. I gasped again as I tried to get out of his grasp, then Simeon pushed Sawyer off of me, and sent him crashing into the glass table behind him.

"You stay away from her." Simeon hissed. Sawyer got up, and smirked at us.

"Or what? It's not like you actually care about her." The next thing that happened took me by surprise. Simeon brought me close and our lips met. He pulled away, and Simeon protectively put his arm around me.

"Yes, I do."
