"Oh hell no!" We both shouted.
"What are you even doing here?" Adeline shouted, springing to her feet.
"What are you doing here? You've been coming here for the last two weeks!" I fired back. Her expression morphed from anger to shock.
"Y-you've been watching me?" She muttered. I guess the normal guy would blush at this point but if you've been following, you'd know I'm not exactly normal.
"Just a glimpse here and there." I admitted. "Seriously, why have you been coming here?"
"Just leave me alone! It's none of your business!"She shouted shakily, her eyes filled with unshed tears.
Okay maybe I'm not the smartest guy (Ivory made me put that in there) but I don't remember being an asshole towards Adeline. Maybe this was a sign that I wasn't needed.
I wish I figured it out back then.
"Fine! I was just trying to help." I spun and walked away, leaving tears running down her face.
To be honest, I had no desire to go back and kick/throw a ball with my so called friends. Ivory was busy with her friends and I was just a tad bit afraid of them. I guess I could have gone to grab Alexa away from her friends but I wasn't in the mood to repeat all my sentences five or six times.
"Fuck... I am truly alone."

"Hello." My dad greeted.
"Hello." I greeted back.
"How was your day?"
"It was fine."
"How was practice?"
"It was okay."
Now that the formalities were out of the way, the real conversation started. No matter how bad it sounds in the beginning, my dad and I are pretty darn close. Sure, I don't tell him everything but I tell him enough. That's what's important.
We jumped between topics as he drove me home: how's my books going (I'm a author, duh), what I want for my birthday (Nothing, I'm indecisive) and plans for the holiday (lay around, duh also).
It was a long drive home and most of it was occupied music filled silence. I lived far from school and that really made it hard to organize parties and sleepovers.
As if I needed more proof that I was a outcast, I had to live the furthest.
We pulled into the driveway and I was out the minute the car was switched off. The boot was opened, bags were slung over my arms and I was off to the door where my mother was waiting. I kissed her cheek and walked in, kissing my sister as well before dropping my bags in my room. I closed the door and stripped to change into something less sweaty.
Routine.
It made me think. Maybe that was the reason I was conquesting so many girls so I could create something out of the ordinary but that only lasted for a bit. After a while though, it too fell into a sort of routine.
First, sweep into her life and fix her problems. Second, get what I want whether it was kisses, hugs, nudes or whatever. Third, break everything that I fixed, and more, in a way that they couldn't fix and move to the next girl. Lastly, repeat.
It was that way with Hazel, it is that way with Alexa too.
I took out my phone and looked at my messages. Not many unfortunately. I was probably the least popular baseball player in the history of baseball. One from Alexa, a few from the family group and an unknown number.
Huh, no profile picture either. Who's this, I wondered.
Unknown - Hi
Me - Hello
My message was left on read so I moved on.
Aleri: I didn't see you 2day 💔💔💔
I sighed and lied,
Me- Don't worry. We'll meet up tomorrow, I promise ❤️

New cover was made by @JessietheGryffindor and its so much better than the original. I'll be featuring a lot of covers in this book, some I made and some others made, so speak out if you'd prefer one of them as the official cover.
