A Night In

Cuddles. That is what Bibiana missed the most when she was away from Barry. Cuddles from Barry were the best. His arms wrapped around Bibiana, pulling her closer to him when he felt she was slipping away. She was so close to his chest that she could hear his heart beat. And the warmth he provided. It was just the best feeling in the world.

To think, Bibiana almost lost this. Her reckless behavior almost cost her the very person she loved the most. She knew she would never find anyone like Barry. So why was she very hesitant to return to Central City? Why did she almost ruin what she had?   Yes, Bibiana did lose people close to her. And yeah, she loved spending time with her grandparents. But was that really the reason she spent so much time in China?

Bibiana frowned. Her memory felt a little hazy about her trip now. What did she do? Who did she meet? Oh no, she should probably tell Barry about one of her problems. Not her close brush with death, not her hallucinations, not about Black Plague, but about an escape convict.

These situations were just becoming more and more complicated. Bibiana paused the anime she was showing Barry. They had went from a kids show to Fairy Tail when Bibiana had remembered a new dub episode of Fairy Tail was released a couple of days before.

"What's wrong?" Barry asked. His chin lightly rested on the top of Bibiana's head. His eyes were still trained on the television screen, still trying to wrap his head around the plot of the show.

Bibiana tilted her head up so she could look at his face. He seemed relaxed. Even with everything going on. It would be selfish of her to ruin his relaxation. He needed a break from everything. Plus, Bibiana knows that Barry would either try to balance helping Stein and catching Michelle at the same time or drop everything for her. She just couldn't do that.

She wasn't going to tell him until things settled down a little. Or until she got kidnapped. Whatever came first. Hopefully not the latter.

"I just wish we had more nights like this," Bibiana whispered. Barry tore his glaze away from the television and looked down at Bibiana.

Man, how much he loved her. He would do anything for her. How much he wants to protect her even if she can take care of herself. Maybe that's why he never questioned the lab results he found. But he knows how Bibiana thinks. She's going to keep it to herself until she gets in trouble. Maybe he should help out as soon as possible but he's scared that's what's going to make her hate him. Sure he has the assurance that in the future they'll get married, but that could change. Nothing was set in stone.

So Barry looked her in the eye and placed a small kiss on her forehead. His arms tighten around her. He took in a deep breath as he collected all his thoughts. They've been through so much in one year. It's crazy.

"How about we make this night the best we ever had? And when we have another night like this, we make it even better?" Barry suggested. Bibiana loosened Barry's grip over her and flipped her body over. She placed her hands on Barry's chest and her adjusted her legs so they would be comfortable for both of them.

She could feel his heartbeat pick up its speed. But she ignored that. Bibiana inched closer to his face and rested her forehead against his.

"I love you. You know that, right?" Bibiana asked, her voice barely above a whisper. To think that she once was scared to say that sentence and now she wants it all the time. Barry swallowed a gulp, wondering where this was heading.

"I know but I love you more, Bibiana," Barry responded with the same level of volume. His heart fluttered when he heard her chuckle. How can something so simple and innocent cause him to have all these feelings?

"It's not a contest Barry," Bibiana sweetly stated. She was closing the gap between them. First, she gave him a peck on his nose. Then she locked lips with his. Expressing all her love for him and trying to hide all the guilt.

Maybe this wasn't what Barry meant by having the best night. Either way, both of them didn't seem to mind.
