TWO:
Flash Storm Day

The smell of fresh popcorn filled Bibiana's nose. She had bought some before she hid behind some trees. The girl had spotted some of her friends. Caitlin by a truck, Joe and Cisco were by the police, Iris and Stein were among the crowd.

A feeling of guilt settled in Bibiana's stomach. That or it was the very tight suit that she wore under her clothes. If she ever decided to take back the mantel of Electric Storm, she was 100% sure she was getting a new suit.

Her attention was snapped back to the ceremony when the Mayor came on stage. She knew it was him from the cheering. That was her cue to change. She zapped herself out of her clothes but stayed in her suit. Carefully, she placed the purple mask on her face before she laced it with electricity.

"Good morning, Central City!" yelled the Mayor. "A year ago, our world changed. Our city became ground zero for some pretty weird stuff. We got a new breed of criminal: Men and women who defied not only our laws, but physics and reason. But we got something else, too. Two somethings. We got the Flash and Electric Storm!"

Bibiana peeked her head out from behind the tree to see everyone clapping at a poster. It was pretty basic with a mixture of pale red, yellow, and purple. It had the words Flash Storm Day in big lettering.

At the sight of that, Bibiana felt like backing out. Flashes of Ronnie, Eddie, and Barry ran through her mind. She wasn't a hero of that day... It was Ronnie, Eddie, and Barry.

"Our wounds run deep, and I know many of you are afraid of what threats tomorrow may bring," the Mayor continued. "But the Flash and Electric Storm doesn't just protect us, they restore hope where it was lost. That's why I'm honored to present the key to the man and woman who saved Central City: the Flash and Electric Storm!"

Everyone waited for the Flash and Electric Storm to appear. Even Bibiana wanted him to make an appearance. With a deep breath, she zapped herself on stage. She was going to honor the people that died.

When she appeared on stage, the Flash had arrived a second later. Sadness rolled over Bibiana as she stood next to the man she loved. She bit her lip whilst the two heroes stared at each other.

Sadness and guilt could be seen in both their eyes. They teared their glaze away from one another and looked at the crowd. The crowd was chanting Flash and Electric Storm.

The two waved before they slowly walked up to the mayor. It was hard for them both to do such a simple task. Especially when they were seeing each other after three months.

Bibiana had to push back a memory of the time she went to San Diego comic con with Barry for her birthday. She knew that her favorite moment of life would make her cry.

"The doors to Central City will forever be open for you two. Flash. Electric Storm," the Mayor informed them. He held out two keys to them.

They nodded their heads with hesitates. The two were about to accept the keys when they heard a woman screaming.

At the sight of a flying object hurtling towards them, Electric Storm reacted quickly. The Flash took off with the mayor as Electric Storm formed two shields. One of the purple shields were thrown at the crowd so they would've been protected. The other one turned into a huge ball to protect her from the crash.

When the impact happened, Bibiana fell onto her butt. A small groan came out of her before she zapped herself next to Barry.

"The man and woman who saved Central City, hate to rain on your parade," the man in a strange mask told them.

"Iron Man copy cat," Electric Storm hissed.

The Flash ran towards the man, only to be thrown into one of the police cars. Officers shot rounds of bullets at the man, only to find out he was wearing protective gear. Before Bibiana could shoot, the man pushed a car towards officers.

Electric Storm sent a stronger shield towards them. The car crashed against the electric shield.

"I bet you can't handle electricity!" Electric Storm yelled. She sent pulses of electricity at the man, only to see he was immune. One second after her hits, Cisco shot something at him. "No!"

The man grew larger from the electricity that were shot at him. Bibiana rushed over to Cisco and Joe with a panic look in her eyes.

"That guy is huge and he roars," Bibiana told them with panic. "But you two should leave."

"Cisco, run!" Joe telled at him. Cisco gave a sad look at Bibiana before he took off running. "Where have you been?"

"Joe, this isn't the time to ask questions with this problem," Bibiana exclaimed. She pointed at the guy that was growing larger and larger.

"What are you doing?" Joe asked Barry. He had arrived next to them with tanks of gas.

"I'm throwing, you're shooting and Bibiana is making a shield," Barry quickly explained.

He threw the tanks of gas at the big bad guy. Joe waited before he found it as the perfect time to shoot. And Bibiana immediately put up another shield to protect them from the blast. Unfortunately, one of the pieces had broke through the weaken shield and hit Barry.

The mask came off of the bad guy, revealing his face.

"That's Al Rothstein," Joe informed them. "The body we found at the nuclear plant, he's alive!"

"His name rhythms with Frankenstein the scientist," Bibiana pointed out. "I would expect this with our lives."

Al gave them an angry face before his mask came back on and left. Electric Storm fell on her knees and gasped for air. She hasn't used that much power in a while. It was clear that she was much stronger than before.

Quickly, she zapped herself away. She had to make sure her brother was okay.

Bibiana zapped into the cortex with a panic look. She hadn't been in STAR Labs in a while and had no idea what was going on. All she knew was that Cisco had blew up her phone with an emergency text.

She stood in a fighting stance, ready to kick butt. Once noticing that it was just Cisco, Iris, and Stein next to the cortex main computers, she dropped the stance. Next she noticed Joe standing against one of the door frames. Bibiana stood up straight and looked at them with disbelief.

"We'll talk about where you've been later," Cisco stated. Before Bibiana could open her mouth, she heard a swish. Her eyes moved passed her friends and onto Barry.

"What are you guys doing here?" Barry asked. His eyes stayed glued onto Bibiana before they moved onto Cisco, Iris, and Stein.

"Working," Iris replied.

"So, Caitlin was right," Cisco said. Bibiana was confused and tried to follow the conversation.

"Yes, all humans contain small amount of radiation due to contact with cell phones, microwaves, televisions, et cetera," Stein explained. "Our bodies are natural conductors."

"I think our meta's been suckling up all the radiation around him and using it to power himself," Cisco commented.

"Which is why the x-ray machines at the hospital failed the day of the rally," Iris added.

"That would also explain why my last shield was weaker," Bibiana noted. Due to her shield being weaker, it had caused Barry a small injury.

"So if we want to find him, we gotta look for places without radiation," said Cisco.

"All right, guys, I don't want any of you here right now," Barry told them.

Bibiana folded her arms and stayed quiet. She didn't want to admit that she only came because Cisco tricked her. With everything she did, she didn't believe Barry deserved to hear that.

"Tough. You need your partner. You need your friends" Joe stated.

"Barry, everyone in this room cares about you, but we also care about this city," Iris explained. "We all want to make a difference, and that means fighting meta-humans, and that means working with the Flash. You can't deny us that. Not anymore."

"Got him," Cisco announced. "There's a three block dead zone near a hazardous waste reclamation plant."

"Wonder what a guy like him is doing there?" Bibiana sarcastically stated. She walked closer to the computer screen to see the layout.

"It should be blooming with rads, and right now it's at zero," Cisco continued to explain.

"That's where you'll find your atom smasher," Martin replied. Everyone turned to look at the professor. "Because he absorbs atomic power, and he, well, smashes."

"I like it," Bibiana admitted. "Oof, it'll suck if he ever meets Ray."

Cisco gave Stein a hug. "Come here." He let go. "That's a great name. Welcome to the team."

"Thank you," Stein responded.

"Great, guys, thank you," Barry told them. "Um, you can go now, all right?"

"Barry, you need to let Cisco and Stein figure out a way to stop this guy," Joe said. "And you need your partner out on the field with you."

"No, I don't," Barry answered. He grabbed his suit and speeded out.

The girl honestly didn't know how to respond to anything. But something did catch her eye on the table.

"Hey, isn't that Barry's comms?" Bibiana questioned.

She pointed at the small black objects that were on the table. Cisco immediately picked them up and showed them to the group.

"Yep, Barry left his comm system behind," Cisco answered. "We can't talk to him. He's on his own."

"Can't Bibiana just go?" Iris asked.

"Theoretically, Bibiana would be of no help. She is full radiation energy that Atom Smasher can use again them both," Stein explained.

"We just got to believe in him and act like a team," Bibiana told them.

"It was kinda hard to do that when you were all the way in China and hiding from us," Cisco replied.

"Is it really the time to talk about this Cisco?" Bibiana asked.

"No. We have to help Barry," Cisco answered.

The two immediately got onto the computers and started to type away.

"Kai and I needed some time away from our life problems. Then we had a family emergency," Bibiana explained. She continued to search for a way to contact Barry while talking. She felt like she owed an explanation to her friends. "And when we came back... It felt too soon to face the reality of what happened..."

"Bibiana, you should've came to us," Cisco responded. "We could've helped you through it."

"Yeah. We can talk about this later. Let's focus on Barry," Bibiana replied.

"Is there really no way of knowing what's going on in there?" Iris asked.

"We're looking for the security cameras," Cisco answered.

"I think we found them," Bibiana announced a second later.

"Booyah," responded Cisco as he pulled them onto the screens.

"This fight isn't looking so good," Bibiana admitted. Barry was just picked up by the Atom Smasher.

"Dad," Iris said.

"Maybe I can make it there," Joe stated.

"No, you won't, and what are you gonna do when you get there?" Cisco asked. "The Boot didn't work on him."

Bibiana glanced back towards the screen in front of her. She pulled out every blueprints that she could get her hacker fingers on.

"Alarm!" Stein yelled.

"Believe me, we're all alarmed," Cisco replied.

"No, the alarm system," Stein explained. "You've tapped into the surveillance cameras, correct?"

"Correct! Bibiana, hurry," Cisco responsed. The two quickly started to type as fast as they could to activate them. "Come on, feel the noise."

"Yes!" Bibiana yelled, once Barry got out of there.

"Professor Stein, you are a genius," Cisco told Martin.

"I believe that's already been well established," Stein replied.

"Okay, no one likes a bragger," Bibiana joked. She soon realized that she had much more explaining to do later. Three months worth of stories to share and not all of them were pretty.
