"You know, I could have handled that by myself." Kassidy spoke up as they made their way back to the ship.
"Is that so? Is that why you were cowering in the corner like a scared little lamb?" Hook asked.
"Well, I did hit my head, I was little confused, but I could have roasted him in seconds." Kassidy shrugged.
"Highly unlikely princess." Hook scoffed. "If I hadn't shown up, there's no telling what would have been left of you."
"You underestimate me. Pirate."
"I thought I told you, you address me as Captain." Hook snapped.
"And I told you, not to call me princess. Looks like I'm not the only one with a listening problem." Kassidy quipped. Hook glared at her. Clearly her near rendevouz with the sharks a few nights ago had taught her nothing.
"So now what?" Kassidy asked as they walked on board.
"Now, I am going to join the rest of my men at the tavern." Hook said. "And you are going to stay here like a good girl."
Kassidy put her hands on her hips.
"Why? Why can't I go?" She asked.
"Because you need to learn to do as you are told." Hook smirked. "Have fun."
"You are an asshole." Kassidy muttered.
"But I am the asshole that has saved your life on multiple occasions now, without so much as a thank you from you."
"I didn't need you to." Kassidy glared. "And for the record, I am not one of your things like you told that man!" She spat.
"We'll see." Hook winked and walked off the ship. Kassidy screamed in frustration and clenched her fists at her sides. Why was she still here? Why didn't she just leave? Why was she still obeying his commands like a goddamn dog? But then she thought, in just a few days time, her choice to stay here on this ship would surely make her as a traitor to the crown. She wouldn't be welcome in her own kingdom, even if she wanted to go back. She was here simply because she had nowhere else to go. She watched the Captain walk away and felt a small tug in her chest but shook it off immediately. There was no way in any hell, she was going to admit that possibly a small part of her was beginning to enjoy the Captains company.
Kassidy had lost track of time waiting for the Captain and his crew to return. She sat in the Captain's quarters at his desk looking over his maps trying to figure out where the hell they were going next. She smiled when she rolled up the corner of the map Arendelle. She had always, always wanted to go there. She didn't get to do much traveling. Anytime she got too far out of her kingdom her fathers men found her and brought her back. She was beginning to realize that she was more a prisoner in her own kingdom than on Hooks ship, at least here she could see the world. "Princess!" Hook boomed. Kassidy couldn't stop herself from smiling and convinced herself that it was only because she was bored to death sitting here alone. Kassidy walked out of the Captains Quarters and saw Hook strutting over with a woman attached to his side. "You..have a little, something on your coat Captain." Kassidy said and rolled her eyes. "I have something that requires my attention here. So I need you, to go join the crew at the Tavern." Hook grinned. "And do what exactly?" Kassidy scoffed. "What do I care?" Hook asked "Just go." Kassidy went to say something but shook it off. It wasn't worth the effort. "Fine." She muttered and walked off the ship and made her way to the Tavern ignoring the sting from his words. What do I care? Why did she care that he didn't care? Kassidy had sat in the Tavern for at least an hour with the crew, besides the one man who killed Elliot, they were not all that bad. They had taught her how to play dice and like most things she had caught on quickly. "You're almost as good as Captain, lass." Smee insisted. "I'd like to think I'm better." Kassidy scoffed. "Now, what is a pretty thing like you doing hanging around all these pirates?"Kassidy looked up at young man, perhaps just a little older than she was with sea green eyes and blonde hair. He wore a cloak with a royal crest on it. She grinned. "I suppose I could ask you the same thing." She said mockingly. "I know Royalty when I see it, Princess." The man smiled and held out his hand. "You'd be far better off in my company." "Who are you to assume that I am a princess?" Kassidy asked with a sly smile. "Princess, I am here to rescue you." The man smiled and held up a missing poster with her face on it. Kassidy gasped and took it from him. "Whoever painted this should be hanged. They got my nose all wrong." She pouted. The Captains crew laughed from behind her. "I must insist you come with me." The man said. "I'm sorry, I didn't get your name." "It's Dylan. Thats all you need to know. Your father has promised quite a reward for your safe return." "I'm sure he has, and he will be told, when his men return to him in a weeks time, that I have no plans on returning home." Kassidy smiled. "Don't be foolish. You have a duty to your kingdom. Your people." Dylan responded and put his hand on her wrist the entire crew drew their swords and stepped forward. "I would insist you take your hand off of her, She belongs to Captain Hook." Smee said trying to diffuse the situation Dylan raised an eyebrow and released her. "So the princess has become nothing more than a pirates wench. Not worth the reward after all." Dylan scoffed. Kassidy felt her blood boil She reared back and slapped him across the face. "First, I am not a Wench and I Most certainly do NOT belong to Captain Hook. Second, you tell me just what it is my father promised you for my return and I will consider letting you walk out of here." "He offered your hand in marriage, but now that I see you have been defiled by pirates the only thing worth bringing to him is your head." Dylan spat. Kassidy laughed. "Rest assured, Dylan was it? I have not been touched by these pirates. However I would gladly let any one of them handle me, before I let you anywhere near me." One of the crew raised his eyebrows and stepped forward."Back up Smith, I see you!" Kassidy hissed. "So. with that being said, I think it's time you take your leave while you still can." "Or what?" Dylan laughed. "You aren't the Captain, these men will not follow your commands. What are you going to do to me?" He asked. "Smee, your sword." Kassidy said and held her hand out. "Kassidy.. I really don't thi-" "Your sword." Kassidy repeated. Smee hesitantly handed over his sword. Kassidy pressed the tip of it to the hollow of Dylans throat. "You can go back to my father and tell him that I will not be returning, and I will not be marrying you. OR I can send him your head in a box with a note saying the same. Which would you prefer?" Kassidy asked. Dylan swallowed hard."Sorry to have bothered you princess." He said and raised his hands in surrender. "As you should be. Do say hi, to my father for me." She smiled sweetly and waved him off as he fled from the tavern. Kassidy handed Smee back his sword. "Thank you Mr. Smee." She said. "I've grown bored with this, I'm going back to the ship." "I don't think that's a good idea Kassidy." Smee warned. "It's been over an hour, Surely the Captain is done." Kassidy shrugged and left the Tavern. It was quiet on the ship, Kassidy wasn't even sure why she wanted to come back here her blood was still boiling that the crew seemed to think she belonged to Hook, but she had a good tale to tell him after recent events of the Tavern maybe he'd get a good laugh. She put her hand on the door to the Captains Quarters and pushed it open. Hook was clearly not done, She stood there for just a moment taking in the sight of The Captain and his wench and the intriguing position they were in as moans, and sighs filled the room. Kassidy swallowed hard and she didn't know why her eyes welled up and she felt like she had been hit square in the chest. She knew what the Captain was doing so why did it bother her so much to see it? She backed out of the room quietly and closed the door trying to collect herself. Why the hell are you crying? You mean nothing to him. He kidnapped you Kassidy, get ahold of yourself you are better than this. She tried to tell herself as the tears fell down her cheeks as she slowly made her way back to the Tavern to try and drink away her conflicting feelings.
