Chapter 19
A/N: Well now that the Gif in the header should have everyone good and scared for this chapter,
Enjoy! XD
Also, for those of you who are familiar with my OC Kassidy from my other stories with her, the reason why I have only called her father by "The king." Or "her father." That will be cleared up by the end of this chapter ;)
For the first month after leaving Arendelle, Kassidy thought maybe Grand Pabbie was wrong. She didn't really feel any different of course maybe that was her mind. Killian had picked up on little things that she hadn't, like she was sleeping more. A lot more, and she had a nearly insatiable appetite. But then she had noticed by the second month, she had stopped bleeding monthly but still, she kept it in the back of her mind that Pabbie was wrong.
However by the third month mark, Kassidy was dressing for her day when she came upon a problem. She could no longer fit into her trousers.
"What..the hell?" She mumbled and walked over to Killian's floor mirror She lifted her shirt and sighed. There was a small swell to her stomach that hadn't made itself known until now. There was no doubt about it. She was with Child and it was to the point where now she would have to tell her husband to be.
This should have been a happy time, but Kassidy was terrified. She rummaged through the chest of her clothing until she found one of her dresses. She hated these but it would have to work for now.
She heard the crew shouting from above and hurried and got dressed and ran out above to the main deck where it was nothing but chaos. She hurried to Killian who was shouting orders at the crew.
"What's going on?" She asked. Killian took her shoulders.
"I need you to get below. Now." He said.
"What? Why?" Kassidy asked. Killian turned her to face the starboard side where there was a royal ship coming.
"Thats one of my fathers ships." She said. "Let me stay I can help fight." She said.
"Love, you can not fight in a dress and I am not putting you in harms way. Get below. Now." He said again.
"No. Killian I'm not lea-"
"Now!" He shouted at her. She flinched and gave him a quick nod before turning to walk back to the cabins but she didn't go in. She stayed hidden on the steps.
Kassidy's ears were still ringing from the cannon blasts as the fight had been brought to the Jolly Roger. There was blood and bodies everywhere. Kassidy tried to sneak onto the deck to heal Killian's men, at least the ones who weren't too far gone. Her father's surprise attack, was taking its toll, and things were not looking good. Kassidy looked up to see Killian in the middle of a duel. Her mouth dropped, this was not just any royal navy officer. This was her father. He had actually come this time. She knew now that the only thing that could stop this would be her. She stood and approached.
"Stop!" She shouted. Both men came to a halt. Killian turned first.
"Kassidy, I told you to stay below!" He barked.
"Well, you should know by now, Captain I don't take orders very well." She said and looked over at her father who dropped his sword and rushed to her.
"Kassidy.. Oh Gods. Are you hurt? Have they hurt you in anyway?" He asked. Kassidy pushed him away and crossed her arms.
"I am fine, Father. I've been on this ship just over a year and you knew where I was this whole time. Why wait so long?" Kassidy asked.
"I.. We had to plan Kassidy to ensure a successful rescue."
"Did you not get the message?" Kassidy scoffed. "I didn't want to be rescued! I know what you did. What you did to my mother!" Kassidy spat. Her father stepped back.
"They've brainwashed you."
"No." Kassidy said and stood beside Killian. "They only showed me the truth. Which is more than you ever did."
"Kassidy, please. I've come to take you home. Where you belong."
"I belong here. With Killian. We are getting married."
"Like hell you are!" her father shouted.
"We are." Kassidy said. "This is my home now. I am staying here with Killian and our child." She said and looked up at Killian.
"Our child?" He asked.
"I didn't know how to tell you.. Back in Arendelle.. I got more answers from Grand Pabbie than I was searching for. I'm sorry." Kassidy bowed her head. Killian tilted her chin up so she was looking at him.
"A child?" He asked again "We're to have a child?" He smiled.
"Yes." Kassidy replied and took his hand off of her chin and placed it over her stomach. Killian's whole face lit up in a way Kassidy had never seen before.
"No.." her father said. "This can not be." He shook his head and picked up his sword. His expression darkened and he charged at Kassidy. Killian quickly moved her out of the way
"NO!" Kassidy screamed and watched in horror as her father's sword ran through Killian.
"No no no!" She cried and hurried over as Killian collapsed.
"I can fix this." She sobbed and raised her hands.
"No.. he.. Can't know." Killian sputtered out.
"I don't give a damn if he knows Killian! I am not doing this without you." She said and her palms started glowing over Killian's wound.
"Come on.. Come on.." She mumbled watching the wound slowly close. The wound was healing but Killian was fading quickly. His face had lost all color, and his blue eyes were losing life.
"Smee! Fetch some water for the Captain. Lewis take this man to the brig." She said glaring at her father.
Lewis nodded and disarmed the king and dragging him away.
"Wait!" The king hissed at Lewis and strained to watch. He wanted to see this.
"Killian?" Kassidy asked running her hands over his cold, paled face. "Killian please.." She said through a muffled sob.
"Kassidy..I think-" Smee started to say but Kassidy put her hand up to silence him.
"Hes not gone!" She snapped and leaned down and pressed her lips to his. There was a strange pulse in the air as she kissed him. His face regained its color and he reached his hand up and tangled it in Kassidys hair. Kassidy gasped and pulled away
"Miss me?" Killian asked weakly. His lips curved into a smirk. Kassidy let out a happy cry and kissed all over his face.
Killian was resting, so Kassidy snuck down to the brig to confront her father.
"Please. Kassidy..you can't let them kill me." He begged.
"You tried to murder my unborn child, and then you attempted murder on my Captain and husband to be. Death is all too merciful for you, if you ask me." Kassidy spat.
"Your mother, she had these powers too.." The king said. "But.. I don't understand, I've never seen her bring back the dead..and he was dead. I saw it." He added.
"He couldn't have been, I can only heal..I can't revive." Kassidy said, but she knew something hadn't been right. Killian was gone. She felt it and then suddenly he wasn't.
"When am I to be executed?" The king asked.
"Tomorrow." Kassidy replied. "Per my order."
"Your order? They respect you that much?"
Kassidy rolled up the sleeve of her dress and revealed the P that was now just a scar.
"I'm one of them now, and I am marrying their Captain, so yes I have some say in what happens on this ship."
"Then you can tell them not to kill me. Kassidy please." The king begged.
"Why would I do that?" Kassidy scoffed.
"Because, you don't understand what will happen once you kill me. You didn't think that my ship was the only ship coming? I called for kingdoms around the realms to bring you home. The rest were just to finish what I started, and they will. They will kill you for being a traitor to the crown, and they will kill everyone on this ship but if you let me go, I will call them off. I will leave you to live your life."
"How can I trust you?" Kassidy asked. "You've lied to me my entire life."
"Kassidy I have been a horrible father but let me do this one thing. If you kill me, you and all of these men, and your unborn child will perish. You can't fight them all especially with your captain in a weakened state. If these are your people now, you will do what you can to protect them, as you once did my people."
Kassidy turned away to think for a few moments and turned back.
"You will call off the other ships?" She asked.
"I will. You will not hear from me again just let me live.."
-----------------------------------------------
"You..what?!" Killian demanded as the two sat dining on breakfast the next morning.
"I let him go.." Kassidy replied.
"Why the bloody hell would you let him go Kassidy? He tried to murder our child! He damn near murdered me!" Killian spat. "You didn't have that authority!"
"To hell I didn't! Killian you were barely conscious, I let him go to save everyone." Kassidy said.
"You still think like a bloody princess!" Killian grumbled.
"If I hadn't let him go, four more ships from other realms would have advanced on us hours ago. We wouldn't have been able to fight, and win and I was NOT going to watch you die again!" Kassidy shouted at him.
"You honestly think we've seen the last of him?" Killian scoffed.
"No. But for now, we are alive and it gives us time to prepare for whatever else he may throw our way.."
----------------------------------------------------------
"King Julian. To what do I owe the pleasure?" Regina, the Evil queen said with a smirk.
"I hear you a planning something, something to take us all to a world without magic."
"How did you come by this knowledge?" Regina asked narrowing her eyes.
"I know people." The king replied simply. "I've come to strike a deal with you."
"You want a deal? You should seek out the dark one." Regina scoffed.
"I did. He sent me your way." Julian replied. "You think that the daughter of Snow White will be your downfall? If what the dark one says of this curse is true, then we will be frozen in time. The baby will be of no harm to you, but my daughter on the other hand.. I've seen what she can do. You'll want her far away from you."
"The princess? The one who ran off with the pirate?" The queen laughed. "Why should I be worried about her?"
"I killed the pirate. I saw him take his last breath. But she kissed him and he was brought back. The power of true love, does not just exist among Snow White and her prince."
The Queen snarled. "So what do you propose I do?"
"I want my daughter as far away from that pirate scum as possible. When this curse hits. I want the princess and myself to be outside of wherever you are sending everyone.I'll need my memories intact."
"But the land will have no magic, she will have no power over me." Regina shrugged. "Besides why do you care so much of her? I thought she was the gardeners child. Not yours, or is that not why you killed her mother?"
Julian clenched his fists at his sides. "It does not matter! I want her away from the pirate, and true love will find a way It will break your curse if they are together."
"Fine I suppose I can make some arrangements to the curse, what is it you have to offer me in return?" Regina asked.
"I've heard you are looking for a child. The princess is with child. Do what I ask, and the baby is yours." Julian replied.
