One week after the rebel attack...

Elowen walked into the room where all of the selected were gathered. It was just that morning that King Jupiter and Princess Natalie Ruby were pronounced dead. They had been fighting for their lives in the infirmary after being found in a rebel base, and died that morning. Luckily after infiltrating one of the rebel bases, they found the head guard Florin, and a couple of the selected that had been captured. You didn't know about a couple of the selected being captured? Let's fill you in.

A few days after the rebel attack, five selected received notes very late at night telling them to come to the beach alone and unarmed, or they would kill Elowen. The note also said that they had captured her, but she was actually up in her room, safe and sound. Three escaped from the clutches of the selected, while the other two were captured.

You could tell that Elowen had been crying, as her cheeks were stained with tears, and she wasn't wearing any makeup. She was also in all black, and had a list in her hand. Elowen cleared her throat.

"After recent events, I have decided that the Selection needed to move quicker. Since my coronation is tomorrow, I will need a queen or king by my side sooner than I thought." Her voice was cracking, and hoarse.

"If I call your name, please leave the room." Elowen took a deep breath as she looked down at her list.

"Arabella Nightingale, Rowan Irene Arrington, Calliste Rogan, Adelaide Morrison, and Torra Peckson." She watched as they left the room. She turned and gave the rest of the selected a weak smile.

"Congratulations for making it further into the Selection." Was all Elowen said before walking out of the room.

Yep! First elimination, yay! All of the selected that were just eliminated was due to being inactive, except for one. If you had a valid reason for not being active, let me know! The meeting and the Emerald City Ball are now closed. If you haven't been on a date with Elowen yet, tag me in a desired place in the palace! The third task will be up soon. And, if it seems like I'm moving too fast, I really don't think I am. I've been very overwhelmed with trying to see if everyone has finished their tasks, that I don't care anymore. You snooze, you lose! I know I promised for interviews and all of that, but once again I'm just too overwhelmed with planning this out, participating in other Selections, my life outside of Wattpad etc. I hope y'all understand, and please get your chain with a rebel finished! I'm going to set deadlines for the tasks now, too!
