Without acknowledging his words, she shoved his hands away from her shoulders in an attempt to get up again to leave, but Kartik couldn't let that happen. With a swift move, he climbed up the bed and had already blocked her way before she could have made her next move. It happened so abruptly that Naira never realized when he pushed her down on the bed again and came on top of her. There was barely any space left between them. Now she was lying beneath him, and he was staring right down at her with an angry yet caring gaze.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kartik made sure not to crush her under his weight. He kept his both hands on either side of her body to maintain his balance. He was being careful not to hurt their baby. Yes, he was losing his cool again, but he didn't forget that the symbol of their love was growing inside her. Their little bundle of joy was resting in its mother's womb peacefully, and he would never do anything that could possibly harm his Naira or their child.
Naira, who found her husband a bit lost, tried to slide her palm under one of his hands and lift it in order to get up one more time and push him off of her. In turn, Kartik shot her a glare and caught hold of her hands in his. He held them above her head as she remained under him in that same position. There was barely any space left between their bodies, invoking sensations that were all too familiar to them. Something they have been craving for and missing since their separation, yet no one was ready to give up.
Before taking her delicate hands in his manly grip and making her his prisoner, he was attentive to let those bangles in her right hand go downward, making sure she wouldn't get hurt any way. When she struggled to free her wrists from his strong clutch, Kartik spoke in a stern tone "You really think, I will let you go?"
While still struggling she retorted back "You can't keep me here like this! Let go of me." His reply was quick "You should be aware that I would never free you, until you stop struggling!"
Naira gave him a painful stare "You understood very well, I didn't come here to stay. Didn't you? Still you are doing this!"
"How many days can you lock me here with you? I will go back to my house by any means!" she told him in a challenging tone.
Kartik gave her a 'oh no you don't look'! His voice was cold as ice "And how many times do you want me to repeat that you are not going anywhere. I won't let you! This is your house, our house. Why don't you understand this simple thing, Naira?"
"Why are you doing this?" came her next question. To say the least, it stunned him. He didn't know what she meant by the question. 'Didn't she know already, why?!' thought Kartik. It left him confused, as well as wondering about the probable cause. So rather he counter-questioned her "You don't know?!"
Naira remained quiet with a neutral expression. Kartik didn't know what to make out of that look. He brought his face dangerously close to hers. Now his breath was fanning over her face in a constant flow.
The proximity between them, the intimate position they were in, the longing in their eyes; everything only yelled in affirmation that they had all the reasons to lose their senses. Still Naira didn't try to wiggle out of his hold or move her face even an inch from his.
On the other hand, he tried to read what was going inside that head of his wife. Kartik observed her facial features thoroughly and tried to figure out what was the underlying cause of her question. His eyes then shifted, and he looked in her eyes intently, trying to see through her, deep down in her soul. He didn't miss the worry lines above her forehead, but her eyes were still as determined as they were before, when she had brought up the question.
Naira was waiting in anticipation for his answer and he told her what was in his heart "Because I love you! Because you love me! And we can't live..." but she cut him off in a harsh-emotionless tone "No, you don't!"
Kartik was taken aback by her answer. His eyes widened, as he watched her in disbelief. More than being shocked, he was hurt. His mind kept asking him over and over, 'What made her say that'?
She never denied that 'she loves him'! Then why did she say, "he doesn't love her"! She wasn't accusing him, but her voice was full of hurt. While thinking about all these, his eyes didn't leave her for once. What he noticed next, pricked his heart even more. The feisty Naira was gone. Instead he found a broken Naira in her place and it broke his heart all the more.
She seemed so fragile and extremely hurt, as she spoke in a vulnerable tone "I don't have any strength left in me to fight with you. I can't keep up this anymore. Why can't you just let me go?"
His Naira was already going through an emotional stage and added up anxiety would do no good to her health. Kartik couldn't afford that. He tried to make her understand as lovingly as possible "Please, chup ho jao. Stress isn't good for you. Just take rest for now. Then whatever you say, I will do it." "But I can never let you go." he boldly denied her request after a short pause.
He moved his face a bit far from Naira's and looked at her lovingly. In a mere whisper, he requested "Just give me a chance. I will make everything right between us. Please, one chance!" "Let me heal you with my love!" asked Kartik, as he looked at her hopefully.
Naira felt tired. She was exhausted. She wasn't up for another fight between her heart and mind. She just wanted to be alone for some time. So, she almost begged as she struggled again to free her hands "I want to be alone Kartik. You do know, I am pregnant!" "I want to go home and rest. Please, listen to me." she pleaded this time.
Kartik spoke in an agitated tone "What do you think? I am not worried about my Child! I don't care for you both!" "The Baby is ours, Naira and you are mine! More than anything, I care about your heath and our unborn Baby's well-being." he told her softly.
"You are really stressed. That's why you need to calm down and rest up. Nothing else, but at least think about the little soul that you are carrying in your womb. It's going to affect our Baby's health and I would never want that." he tried to make her understand.
"I need to be with you. I can't leave you alone in this condition." he reasoned further. Immediately it caused a thought to run in Naira's head 'But you already did Kartik, and probably would have still left me on my own, if you didn't find out that I am pregnant!'
Though Naira understood his concern and love for the baby, she misinterpreted his reason to be with her. She again denied what her heart told her and thought about every time he had pushed her away from him. Kartik felt Naira had stopped struggling and her body went stiff under him. All of a sudden, she became all quiet and kept staring at him with a blank expression.
Despite knowing that she was going through an emotional turmoil, he couldn't find a way to help her out of it. He couldn't bring himself to decipher the situation. It pained his heart to see his love like that. He felt as if he was being shackled, but even then he was sure about one thing. He knew only his love could heal her.
His grip over her hands had loosened and his lips automatically came in contact with her forehead. It remained pressed up against her skin for a long time. While she didn't protest, no more words were needed from his side. What followed next was conveyed through Kartik's actions and pent-up emotions. It was nothing but only his pure love for Naira.
Lifting his head up, he looked up above her head. His eyes went to her hands that were still in his loose hold. He slid his right hand, from over her wrist till her palm, and rested it there. Before he could interlock their fingers, Naira snuck her hand from under his and let it rest beside her in the bed. Kartik tried to do the same with her other hand. The moment his left hand traveled over her right hand to intertwine their hands, Naira slid it again and clutched the corner of the pillow in her fist.
Kartik smiled slightly and moved up from above her. Now he was lying sideways just right next to her, as his right hand went around her body and rested on the side. He stared at her with undying love, making her aware of his intense gaze upon her.
He was admiring her, adoring her. It was distinctly evident, as his eyes were traveling all over her, taking in her every feature, every part, every inch. She wasn't shy, nor was she conscious! She felt it, as if he was touching her body and soul through his eyes. His eyes that led a direct path to his own soul and connected his with hers.
Kartik leaned over her, making their upper bodies come in contact with each other's. There was no barrier, there was no shyness, as there were never before ever. There was no restrain in their hearts.
He brought his face near hers. Digging it in the crook of her neck, he kissed the delicate spot of her neck, tasting her soft flesh and inhaling in her sweet scent. While doing so his hands found its way to her hand that was resting over the bed. Naira, who was already in a daze, didn't realize when he ended up interlocking their hands together. Her other hand clutched the pillow tighter as he had already moved his face to the other side of her neck and was kissing the sensitive skin there, savoring every inch and providing her a known yet new pleasure.
As he brought his face up and looked into her eyes, Kartik found them filled with the same desire as his. Naira's eyes held the same longing and love for him, as his eyes held for her. Only they knew how much they wanted this moment and how much they have yearned for each other.
He could feel the thumping beats of her heart against his own chest. The mingling sound of their rapid heartbeats sounded so musical and rhythmic to him that he could hear it a lifetime, and he knew it was the same for her.
Kartik softly kissed her cheeks one by one, which were already crimson red due to his sweet torture. Then slowly and sensually he kissed all over Naira's face, and only stopped when he came near her lips. He gazed at her soft rosy lips first and then into her eyes. Deeply looking into her light brown orbs, he professed in a whisper "I Love You!".
When he finally went to claim her lips and just barely brushed hers with his, she turned away her face to the other side. Kartik tried to hold Naira's chin with his free hand, but she ended up hiding her face even more into the pillow. Realizing her disapproval at the moment, he backed off immediately.
Kartik sighed as his wife suddenly withdrew from their romantic encounter. No, he wasn't disappointed, nor was he angry. He knew she was hurt and he needed soothe her pain before he could get his old Naira back. He needed to heal that wounded heart of hers and for that he had to remove all the bitter feelings of their past.
More than physically, it was necessary for him to connect with her emotionally now. In their relationship, be it physical or emotional intimacy, both cane hand in hand. If she wasn't emotionally vulnerable now, she wouldn't have backed off from him like that and denied his love.
Yes, if he continued then she would have given into her feelings again. There was no doubt that she would have completely gave away herself to him with all her heart. However, it would have been momentary, and he didn't want that. They were soulmates and he loved her soul, her entire being. He wanted to win his Naira along with her trust and love, with nothing else but solely with his love. She was angry now,but it couldn't forever that she denied her heart that he truly and deeply loved her.
What if Kartik asks Naira to leave him again? Will Naira be able to take the blow or break down completely this time? Will she leave him one more time and being the angry young man, he will watch her leave as a mute spectator? Often history repeats itself! Clash of egos or..... ?? Well you will see! Hopefully, I become able to include everything in the next update, whenever that will be!
