No Matter What (OHSHC Yuri One-shot)

"Um...Haruhi-kun?" A customer questioned, making said girl snap out of her thoughts.

"Oh, I'm sorry ladies. I was just lost in my thoughts." Haruhi apologized to the girls in front of her.

At the moment Haruhi was sitting at her usual table in 'Music room 3' with three of her regular costumers sitting across from her. But her mind hasn't really been focused on them though.

"What kind of thoughts?" A different girl asked.

"I'm just thinking about plans that I have after the club today," she answered.

"Oh! What kind of plans?" The last girl asked.

A soft blush that appeared on Haruhi's face caught the attention of the other hosts that had been silently eavesdropping on the small, brunette host.

"Well it's kind of a private matter," she admitted, looking at the clock just as Kyoya stated that club hours were over. She quickly grabbed her bag and ran out of the club room doors, shouting a quick goodbye as she left.

The rest of the host club stood there in silence as the doors came to a close, looking in the direction of the young, brunette girl.

"Haru-chan has been acting really weird lately," Honey finally said, breaking the silence.

"Yeah," the twins said. "And did you see her blush earlier when talking about her plans."

Kyoya looked up from his little black book before he began to write and said, "Maybe she has finally gotten herself a boyfriend."

This caused the 'king' to freak out. "No! I will not allow my beloved daughter to be stolen away from me by the hands of some filthy minded boy who might do who-knows-what to her!" He shrieked before turning to the other boys in the room. "We must go after her! Operation: 'Save Haruhi' is a go!" He then turned and ran out the door with the others trailing behind him.

They caught up with Haruhi as she came out of her apartment wearing a red sundress. dark brown sandals, and carrying a light brown shoulder bag.

"My daughter looks so cute!" Tamaki squealed with a light blush on his face, but soon changed to a depressed one, "Which probably means she really does have a date."

"Come on boss, get up. She's leaving already." The twins chided the 'king' which caused him to shoot up as they hurried to catch up to Haruhi while also making sure that she wouldn't notice them.

When Haruhi finally stopped, she was standing outside of a movie theater and was looking around for someone.

After a few minutes Haruhi spotted who she was looking for.

"Yue!" She called with a big smile on her face.

A girl, a little shorter than Haruhi, with light purple hair and violet eyes looked over towards the direction she heard her name from and blushed when she noticed it was Haruhi before she began walking over to the brunette.

As Yue ran over to Haruhi the hosts watch as her waist length hair swished behind her and her eyes sparkled as they were fixated on Haruhi.

Tamaki let out a sigh of relief at the sight of Yue. "I'm so glad that it isn't a date. But Haruhi never told us she had a friend outside of school! Now that she has a female friend she will be more girly and stop spending so much time with those shady twins!"

The twins started criticizing Tamaki, which ended up starting a fight, while Kyoya, Mori, and Honey looked over suspiciously as the two girls bought tickets and walked into the theater.

"They're going in," Mori said in his usual monotone voice, making Tamaki and the twins snap out of their fight and look towards the movie theaters doors.

"Let us follow!" Tamaki exclaimed.

~~1 Hour and 55 Minutes Later ~~

After the movie Yue and Haruhi walked out of the theater and began to take a walk together, unaware that they were being followed by not just one, but two groups of people.

"That movie was pretty boring." Haruhi stated.

"Y-yeah. It w-wasn't as good as I t-thought it w-would be." Yue answered back in her usual quiet shy tone.

Haruhi looked at her and smiled. "You're getting better with your stuttering Yue."

Yue smiled as a blush appeared on her face. "I-it's mostly t-thanks to y-you Haruhi!"

"No. It's all you. You're the only one that can help yourself with this. And I'm really proud of you" Haruhi praised, causing Yue to blush furiously and stutter out a 'thank you.'

The host club continued to follow the pair and noticed how close they are; as if they had both know everything about each other.

"Wow, they must be really close." Tamaki stated and the twins nodded in agreement.

"I wonder how long Yu-chan and Haru-chan have known each other." Honey wondered aloud as he watched a flustered Yue try to stutter out some words to Haruhi.

"It seems that they have known each other for quite a while." Kyoya informed.

"But then why wouldn't Haruhi tell us about her!" Tamaki whined.

The rest of the host club turned and stared at Tamaki with blank faces.

This caused Tamaki to spazz out even more. "Why are you all looking at me?!"

"Haruhi probably realized that you would spazz out even more than normal and scare the poor girl," Hikaru started.

"So she decided to keep her a secret so we would never meet her." Kaoru finished.

"It's all your fault Tama-chan," Honey stated as he hugged Usa-chan closer to him. Kyoya nodded and Mori made a sound of agreement.

This just succeeded in making Tamaki spazz out even more.

Haruhi lead Yue to a small café and Yue's eyes lit up with recognition.

"Ah, this place," Yue trailed off.

"Yeah. I thought it would be nice to come here again, since it has been a while," Haruhi stated.

Yue smiled up at her and Haruhi grabbed her hand before pulling into the café.

Mean while the hosts were hiding behind a bush next to the café.

"So they've been here before," Hikaru stated.

"Which means they do hang out a lot," Kaoru said.

"Let's go in and investigate more." Tamaki ordered.

And so the hosts walked in before ducking into a booth and continued to spy on the two girls that were sitting across from each other, chatting.

Yue was looking around the café, feeling eyes burning into her back.

"What's the matter Yue?" Haruhi asked, tilting her head to the side cutely.

"I-it's nothing, it's j-just feels like someone is s-staring at m-me." The shy girl answered.

Haruhi looked around and thought she saw a blur of yellow duck under a booth.

"It must be your imagination." Haruhi settled.

"Y-yeah, I guess," Yue said glancing out the window, seeing a blonde blur duck into a bush.

Weird. Yue thought looking back at Haruhi as their food showed up.

The hosts watched as the owner of the café walked over to the girls' table with plates of food in his hand. He placed them in front of the two girls, in which they smiled at him, and proceeded to start a conversation with them.

"They must come here a lot if they know the owner so well. Maybe we can ask him some questions." Kyoya stated as the owner walked into a small room, his office.

The hosts silently walked into the owner's office, going unseen by the two girls, and stood in front of his desk.

The owner looked up from his desk to look at the six boys in front of him.

"Can I help you boys with something?" The owner asked. He was a 40-something year old man with dark brown hair.

"We are friends of the brunette out there and we were wondering if you could tell us what kind of relationship they have." Kyoya said.

"Oh, you mean Haruhi and Yue!" The man said. The hosts nodded waiting for him to continue.

"They're both such sweet girls. Yue actually works here. The two of them met when Haruhi saved Yue from being harassed by these two guys." He continued.

~~~~Flashback ~~~~
Yue pressed her back against the brick wall, trying but not succeeding to put more space between her and the two guys in front of her.
"Oh come on babe, don't be so shy. We'll go and have a lot of fun." One of the guys said, taking a step closer as he and his friend smirked.
"P-p-please j-just l-leave me a-alone," Yue stuttered, pressing up against the wall even more.
"Nah, I don't think so girly," the second guy said reaching out to grab her. Yue squeezed her eyes shut, hoping that it would just end soon. But before the guy could even touch her she heard someone shout.
"Hey!" They shouted. "What do you think you're doing?!"
"Shit!" The first guy said. "Let's get out of here!" Both guys stepped away from Yue and bolted as her savior ran up to her.
When they finally stopped in front of Yue she could finally see who it was.
It was a girl around her age with short brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing what looked like a boy's uniform and carrying a bag.
"Are you okay? She asked, her eyes gleaming with worry.
"Y-yeah." Yue stuttered before quickly adding. "A-and t-thank y-you so m-much!"
"It's no big deal. It's not like I could just let those assholes keep harassing you." She said.
"W-well t-then, p-please at l-least l-let me t-treat y-you to s-something a t-the c-café I w-work a-at" Yue managed to stutter out.
Haruhi shook her head, "You really don't have to."
Yue gave her a stern look. "P-please l-let m-me."
"Okay. I guess it wouldn't hurt." Haruhi sighed, defeated.
Yue smiled happily, leading Haruhi towards the café.
Haruhi turned towards Yue as they walked and said, "My name's Haruhi by the way," with a smile.
Yue smiled back at her. "I-I'm Yue."
~~~~Flashback Over ~~~~

"Wow! Haru-chan really is a hero!" Honey exclaimed.

"Yeah, and ever since the two have been coming here and hanging out. They are such a cute couple!" The café owner gushed.

His last comment caused the hosts to snap their heads in his direction. "Couple?!"

The owner blinked at their shock in confusion.

"They never told you?" He asked. "They've been dating for about two months now."

"Two months!" Tamaki shouted. "We only found out about Yue today!"

"Hey Kyoya, have you found anything on her?" The twins asked.

"Of course. Yue Akamine. 15 years old. She goes to Ouran Public School and lives in a house with her six best friends. Her parents died in a plane crash, causing her to grow a fear of heights. She is a straight A student, her birthday is August 3rd, her blood type is A positive, and she works in the café we are currently standing in." Kyoya read not looking up from his black book.

"H-how did you get that information?" The owner stuttered, looking at the black haired teen strangely.

"I do general back round checks on everyone involved in our lives." Kyoya answered, pushing up his glasses.

"We should probably leave," Hikaru stated.

"Haruhi and Yue are gonna leave soon." Said Kaoru.

"Alright boys, let's go!" Tamaki exclaimed. They then proceeded to sneak outside and hide in a bush.

"How could Haruhi not tell me she was in a relationship, especially with another girl! Girls aren't supposed to date other girls, it's unnatural!" Tamaki shouted, anime tears streaming down his face.

"Will you shut up?!" A female voice snapped next to them.

The hosts turned their heads to see six girls were also crouched down behind the bush.

"Who are you?" Hikaru asked quite rudely.

"I'm Tamiko Mihara; this is Kyoko Maita, Mimi Sakurai, Takiko Yoshino, and Hitomi and Kaiyo Nagata. We're Yue's friends; you guys are friends with that Haruhi girl that Yue's dating right?" Tamiko questioned.

Tamiko is a 16 year old with blonde hair that falls just under her waist and red eyes; she is wearing a black short sleeve shirt and a white knee length skirt.

Kyoko is a 17 year old with butt length black hair that is pulled into low pigtails with her bangs covering one of her bright red eyes. She is wearing a white blouse with a black button up shirt over it and a dark blue skirt with black tights under it. Though she always has her eyes on her IPhone.

Mimi is a 17 year old girl that is a few inches taller than Honey. She has shoulder length blonde hair that is mostly up in two pigtails with sparkling purple eyes. She is wearing a black knee length dress with a white jacket over it and is currently munching on some pocky.

Takiko is a 17 year old girl and is Mimi's younger cousin. She has chest length black hair and dull grey eyes. She is wearing a blue T-shirt with a black jacket over it and blue jeans. She is currently drinking some coffee.

Hitomi and Kaiyo are 15 year old girls and are identical twins. But Hitomi has short brown hair that stops just before her shoulders while Kaiyo has long brown hair that goes a little past mid back and they both have dark red eyes. Hitomi is wearing a white ruffled shirt with a light blue vest jacket over it, short jean shorts, and a black bat hair clip in her hair. Kaiyo however is wearing a light orange dress with a white shall over it and a headband with a flower on it on her head.

"Yes. What do you know about Haruhi?" Kyoya asked curiously.

Tamiko looked over at Kyoko and nodded, signaling her to speak.

"Haruhi Fujioka. Female. 15 years old and has O blood type. She lives with her cross-dressing father and her mother died when she was 5. She goes to Ouran Academy on a scholarship and works in a host club disguised as a boy." Kyoko read, not looking up from her phone.

"And how did you come across this information?" Kyoya asked.

Kyoko gave him a blank look before saying, "I know everything."

"Yeah!" Mimi exclaimed. "Koko-chan is psychic!"

Honey's eyes brightened. "Really!" He turned to look at Kyoko and smiled. "What am I thinking about right now then?"

She looked at him briefly before looking back at her phone saying, "Cake."

The host's eyes widened and Honey shouted, "Wow! You really are psychic!"

"Of course. We already told you that." Hitomi and Kaiyo said together, making the twins look over at them.

"Guys." Takiko said quietly, catching everyone's attention. "I think we need to be quiet before-"

"G-guys?" A quiet voice drew their attention.

There stood a surprised and confused Yue and a very angry Haruhi.

She turned towards the hosts and glared shouting, "What are you idiots doing here?!"

Both groups of friends stood up from behind the bush and stared nervously at being caught.

"O-oh hey Haruhi. Daddy was just wor-" Tamaki tried to explain but was interrupted.

"You're not my dad, Tamaki-senpai! And you have nothing to worry about; I was only hanging out with Yue." Haruhi stated.

"I do have something to worry about when you're making a big mistake!" Tamaki shouted making Yue flinch back, not only at his volume but also at the meaning of his words. But he continued. "Girls aren't supposed to date other girls, it's unnatural!"

Haruhi's eyes widened in surprise. "Wha-how do you know about that?!" She yelled back.

"That doesn't matter." Tamaki stated lowering his voice but still keeping his stern tone. "What matters is that we're here to stop you from making an even bigger mistake."

Yue stood there with her friends, her heart shattering as she listened to the two friends fight.

"I'm not making a mistake sempai! I lo-"Haruhi began to say, but was interrupted when they heard a sob.

Everyone looked over to see Yue with her head down and her hands clutching the fabric of her shirt that was over her heart.

"I'm sorry." She sobbed. "I didn't mean to cause you trouble. I'll leave now. Bye Haruhi."

Everyone was shocked, because for the first time, Yue didn't stutter. But they didn't get to relish in it very long because Yue turned around and ran away.

"Yue!" Haruhi shouted. She tried to run after her but Tamaki grabbed her wrist to stop her.

"We're not done talking about this!" He shouted.

Haruhi looked around and noticed that Yue's friends were gone.

"Senpai this isn't the time!" Haruhi insisted.

"Then when will it be?" Tamaki demanded.

"I don't understand why you're freaking out so much. You never cared about it when Hikaru and Kaoru did it, and theirs is even worse!" Haruhi reasoned.

"But theirs is just an act." He pointed out matter-o-factly.

"Exactly!" Haruhi finally snapped, catching everyone by surprise. "Theirs is an act, but mine isn't! I really love Yue!"

Everyone was silent for a minute before Haruhi took a deep breath, let it out and started speaking again.

"I'm sorry about yelling at you senpai but I don't think that gender has anything to do with love, it only matters who the person is on the inside," Haruhi said.

Tamaki's eyes softened as he looked at Haruhi before he gave a deep sigh.

"I'm sorry too, for the way I acted. If you really love her, then she must be a great girl." He said and smiled. "Go get her."

Haruhi smile back at all the hosts.

"Thanks guys, especially you senpai," she said before turning and running in the direction that Yue went.

Haruhi stood outside of the small house trying to catch her breath. She remembered where Yue lived from the multiple times she had walked her home.

Haruhi walked up to the door and knocked.

When the door opened Tamiko opened the door.

"Oh, hello Haruhi." She greeted.

"Hello. Is Yue here?" Haruhi asked frantically.

Tamiko's eyes saddened. "I'm sorry, she isn't. She hasn't come yet." She said sadly.

Haruhi had a crest fallen expression before it turned into a look of determination. "Okay, thanks Tamiko." Haruhi thanked before she started to turn and walk away. "I'll be leaving now. I'm going to keep looking for her."

"Hey Haruhi!" Tamiko suddenly shouted, causing Haruhi to look back at her. "Take care of Yue for us okay! She has some pretty bad abandonment issues."

Haruhi smiled back at her and replied, "Thank you and I will," before turning back around and running away.

Yue sat on a swing in a small children playground just staring at the ground, lost in her thoughts as the sky began to quickly darken.

'I bet Haruhi would rather keep her friends rather than me. They have known her longer.' Yue thought as tears began to gather in the corner of her eyes as her thoughts continued. 'Everyone will end up leaving me in the end.'

At that last thought the tears she had been holding in began to stream down her face.

"There you are." A voice said, making Yue turn her head up to see Haruhi standing there. Here dress was dusty, her hair was messed up, and you could obviously see she was tired and out of breath.

"Haruhi... how d-did you k-now w-where I w-was?" Yue asked softly as Haruhi sat down on the swing next to her.

"I remember you mentioning that you used to play here all the time when you were a kid." Haruhi answered swinging back and forth slightly.

"O-oh..." Yue trailed off. "W-what are y-you d-doing here? I t-thought y-you would have l-left with y-your f-friends."

"Yue." Haruhi called, making Yue turn to look at Haruhi and ended up coming face-to-face with her.

Yue blushed at how close their faces were but said nothing.

"Yue," Haruhi said again, "I promise, I will never abandon you. No matter what."

That statement surprised Yue but when she finally processed what she said, a warm feeling rose in her chest. This was the happiest she had ever been.

Happy tears started streaming down Yue's face. "T-thank you H-Haruhi." Yue sobbed out.

Haruhi started to lean in closer and whispered, "I love you Yue."

Haruhi then completely closed the distance between the two and pressed her lips softly to Yue's.

Yue was surprised at first but then began to kiss back.

'I love you too, Haruhi.' Yue thought. 'No matter what.'
