"I'm going to take her home now." Kakashi's voice rang in my ears as he pulled me off of Lady Tsunade, and walked me to the office door leading me out and down the stairs to outside.

All the way back to his apartment, was just a blur to me. My mind was only focused on Jiraiya's bloody body, how I couldn't save him, how much I hated Pein.

Kakashi led me into the bathroom and sat me on the toilet lid. He turned on the water and filled the tub up with hot water. I watched him as he rolled up his long sleeves, took of his headband and pulled his mask down. He turned back to me and I was able to see the sorrow, and pain that was on his face.

He grabbed my shirt and pulled it softly over my head and put it in the hamper by the door along with my bra. He glared at the many bandages on my body and shook his head ridding himself of his anger. He stood me up and kneeled taking my ninja sandals off and then sliding my pants and panties off my legs and stood back up.

He led me to the tub and helped me get in it. I sat in the water and sighed at the feeling of the hot water on my sore muscles. He leaned me back, my head laying on a folded up towel and let me relax. He walked out, and came back a few minutes later with his Make Out Paradise book and sat in the floor by the tub. He took off his gloves and put one hand in the water and held my hand, locking our fingers tightly together. He never said a word, he didn't have to. I knew how sorry he felt, how much sorrow was coursing through his body because of our Eternal Seal.

So he sat there, holding my hand, and read his book as I laid in the hot water. I closed my eyes and settled into the water. 10 minutes passed and I remembered that I needed to go back home, to the The Land Of Snow, to my village and get my stuff.

"I need to go back home. I left some stuff there." My voice was strained from my crying.

"We will go tomorrow." Was he said and sat his book on the toilet lid and stood on his knees and began to wet and wash my hair. I sat up in the water and watched as the soap mixed in with the water.

"It wasn't your fault you know? He knew what he was getting himself in to." Kakashi started to wash my shoulders and back as he spoke.

"Going there, to the Hidden Rain was your ultimate challenge."

So did Jiraiya lie to me after all? Is that why we had that amazing meal, and expensive sake?

"Kakashi.. he treated us to his last meal..but when we went to an Inn, he said he was going to take a nap. I left to walk around the village, and he went to face Pein alone.."

Kakashi kissed the top of my head and drained the tub. He didn't say anything, I don't think he knew what to say. But then again..

"Why did I feel feel his pain through you?"

"I-I had a feeling he was going to try something sneaky and run off without me.. so I put a chakra seal on him so I'd know if he used any of his chakra.."

Kakashi nodded his head and wrapped me in a towel and I stepped out of the tub and we walked to his bedroom. I put some white underwear and one of his big shirts.

"Let's go to bed." He gave me a small smile and laid on the bed, moving to the wall so I could crawl on next to him.

I laid my head on his chest, smiling at his steady heartbeat.. and before I knew it I was sound asleep.

I woke up all alone. Kakashi wasn't next to me in bed. His side was cold meaning he's been gone for a while. I sighed and stared up at the ceiling, Remembering what happened yesterday.

Master Jiraiya is dead. Naruto is coming back today and I'll have to tell him what happened. I'll have to tell him that I let our Master die because I wasn't fast enough to reach him, because I didn't stay by his side and he died.

I looked at the clock and it read 2 p.m.

I quickly jumped outta bed

"Fuuuuuuck!" I hurried and threw on some black shorts, put on a bra and put Kakashi's shirt back on. I crashed into the wall by the door as I put my ninja sandals on and hurried out the door slamming it behind me.

Naruto should be back any minute now and I'm need to be there when they tell him.

I ran quickly to the Hokage's office. Taking the stairs would take too long so I jumped and climbed up the side of the building.

I reached the windows to the Hokage's office but I was too late, Naruto was at the door, ready to walk out. He turned to look at Lady Tsunade but his eyes landed on me. Tears brimmed my eyes as his eyes widened. Anger was swimming in his baby blue eyes, he narrowed his eyes at me and opened the door slamming it behind him.

All eyes turned to me, Kakashi's own visible eye flew open. I stared at the door where Naruto had just left. I placed my hands on the window seal and gripped it tightly, my body shaking. Ice grew up my arms and as I let out a sob I broke a huge chunk of the window seal off.

"Sensei.." Sakura took a step forward towards me and I jumped backwards off the roof.

"Y/N!" Kakashi yelled, everyone ran to the windows looking down at me. I was already standing on my feet on the ground and looked up at them. More importantly at Kakashi, as tears slipped down my face. He nodded his head and I ran away.

I ran to the training grounds and collapsed to my hands and knees.

Naruto hates me. He blames me for Master Jiraiya's death. Naruto will never forgive me.

I've failed you Minato-Sensei..

I trained until I was almost out of chakra, it was already dark, and I made up my mind to go see Naruto face to face.

I went to the market and was buying the ingredients to make Naruto Miso Pork ramen. I was grabbing the noodles when a little red package caught my eye. I picked it up off the shelf and read the front of it

"Limited edition, Spicy Nani ramen..? Hmm." I put it in my basket and went to check out.

I went to Naruto's apartment and knocked on the door. But no one answered. So I knocked again only a bit louder. Still no one answered. I sat the bags down by his door and tried to sense his chakra inside. But he wasn't home.

So I sensed his chakra elsewhere and jumped from rooftop to rooftop and soon landed on the light pole above Naruto. I crouched down to try and hear what Iruka was saying to him but I couldn't hear, so I stayed crouched on top of the lightpole and waited for Iruka to leave.

Once he left I jumped down and quietly landed on my feet and stood in front of Naruto. He didn't look at me, he didn't even move an inch, he stayed leaned over, his elbows on his knees and stared at the ground by his feet.

"Naruto.." I wishpered. But still he didn't move.

I stood a foot from him and fell to my knees bowing in front of him, my face down in the dirt, my hands grabbing handfuls of dirt

"I'm so sorry Naruto!" I started to cry again.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't save him.. I tried to freeze his blood like he helped train me to do. But I wasn't fast enough.. I was too slow!" I stayed bowed at his feet as I cried.

"Please forgive me Naruto. Forgive me for not being fast enough."

I felt his hand rest on top of my head, I gasped at the sudden touch and lifted my head slightly to look at his face. He had tears staining his face, but he gave me a sad smile.

"Get out of the dirt Y/N Sensei."

I shook my head and buried back in the ground.

"I forgive you sensei.."

I looked back up at him and flung myself into his chest and hugged him tightly as I cried into his chest. He tensed up at first but then hugged me back just as tightly and silently cried in my hair.

"M-M-Master.. I'm so sorry... It should have been me.."

"Don't say stupid things like that. Pervy Sage wouldn't have wanted you to die." Naruto held me at arms lengths and looked at me seriously.

"He lived a full life, accomplished many things. He would want the same for you Y/N sensei."

"Naruto.. thank you." I stood up and held my hand out to him.

"Come on I left food at your door step."

He smiled and took my hand standing up. He let go and we walked to his apartment.

He grabbed the bags and lead me inside , I walked to his kitchen table and began to prepare his dinner.

"And there. All done. Homemade Miso Pork Ramen." I stood by his kitchen table, hands on my hips with pride. Naruto's eyes popped out of his head. I picked up his chopsticks and slurped up some noodles. His eyes sparkled, and a tear slipped from his eye.

"Naruto? You okay?" I asked sitting down in one of the kitchen chairs. Does he not like it?

"I know I can't compare to ichiraku ramen but-"

"This is amazing sensei! Can you always make me ramen like this?!" He yelled as he shoved more of the ramen in his mouth.

"Sure Naruto." I laughed and smiled at him. When he was done I cleaned all the dishes and turned to him who was about to sit on his couch.

"Oh no. Shower mister. I can smell you from here."

"That's so mean!" Naruto fake cried as he rushed to his bathroom locking the door behind him.

I chuckled and went about cleaning his dirty apartment, picking up dirty clothes off the floor, and clearing away any trash that he had laying around. By the time he came out of his bathroom he didn't recognize his own place.

"Wow thanks Y/N sensei! You're the best!" He plopped down on his couch and I went to put his dirty clothes in his washer and start them. I walked back into his living room and smiled at his sleeping frame on the couch. He was snoring softly and drooling.

I walked to him and picked up him bridal style and carried him to his bed and laid him down covering him up.

"Thanks...mom." He mumbled and my heart stopped.

Mom?
Kushina..

I smiled and stroked his hair careful not to wake him up.

"Goodnight Naruto."

I walked his to front door and sighed a happy sigh.

I'll do better Master Jiraiya.

I then opened the door and walked out into the breezy night.
