The twisted acceptance of the revelation added a dramatic layer to the ironic situation. I embraced the profound reality, like if I was playing with fate itself, accepting my defeat and analysing it as the beginning of a new act of avenge.
A large silence settled in the eerie of the cold atmosphere. Then, instead of woe or rage, a chuckle escaped my dry lips. My fingers twitched around the empty corners of the wall painting.
"What an ironic cliché." A hint  of  amusement interweaved with some disbelief slipped into my sarcastic tone.
"I see that destiny is now a familiar comrade for you. That's perfect." He said, his voice an encouraging song of thrill.
"So who was it? The men for who I sacrificed my empathy?" I knew what to do with the silver eyed human, but all my toughts rested on the deceased. Thinking about the one who procured me joy nor who destroyed it ephemeral glimmer.
"You should thank Eirian before killing him." He hushed his rocky tone before continuing, "But, you will never know where he is if you don't apply your capacities on my own karma."
I shaked my head, searching for an understanding trace in his gaze. But all I found was egoism, and I couldn't blame his greed.
"So you didn't truly comprehend," I murmured, my breath a tremor in the frozen air."You were only doing this for you? You're a fucking human too?"
My eyes flickered toward his silhouette, hunting. Reason? No. Just a void carved out by his own hunger for control.
Then, Joo-seo laughed. His amusement destabilised my unstable state. "What else would I be? I'm a human, I'm an artist in search of revenge, too. I am nothing but the one who will complete our distinct puzzles."
His smirk didn't falter, but something  in his presence sharpened."Apply your capacities on my karma first."
A final test, a final act before the curtain fall. I could participate in his writing journey or rewrite the ending myself.
I took a step forward, close enough to see the reflection of my own turmoil in his coal eyes."And if I refuse to help you?"
He tilted his head slightly. "Then you will forever remain in the darkness of ignorance, chasing shadows."
