Epilogue - Millionaires.
Epilogue - Millionaires.
The snow was falling thickly from the sky, painting everything over with fresh white powder as Alec and Magnus walked through the streets of Brooklyn hand in hand. Alec grinned as Magnus glanced over in his direction. He already knew where they were heading, the same park they had been to earlier. Large snowflakes were settling in Alec's dark hair turning patches of it white, it was cold out but Alec couldn't have cared less. He'd never felt warmer. "What is it?" Magnus asked, his gloved hands holding onto Alec's as Magnus stood in front of him. Alec shook his head, snow falling off the top of his head, "Nothing." He smiled, "I was just thinking about something you said a while ago." Magnus stepped closer, a questioning look on his face, "Which is?"
"Aku Cinta Kamu." Alec whispered with a smile, Magnus smiled back. "Just, Aku Cinta Kamu." Alec said.
Magnus placed his forehead against Alec's, forcing Alec to look up into his eyes, "I meant all three of those words." He pressed his lips to Alec's
"I know." Alec muttered as they pulled back, "Just as I do now." Magnus led Alec the rest of the way into the park and they sat down on the trunk of the tree from earlier, their faces were frozen from the cold. Alec's hair was now a sheet of white from the snow that had collected on the top of his head. Magnus raised a hand and ran it through Alec's dark hair, the snow falling down Alec's face and onto his shoulders. Alec smirked, "I remember this."
Magnus's eyes widened. "Alexander, don't you dare!" He warned but it was too late, Alec had already stuck the cold snow from his shoulders down Magnus's shirt. Yet again the cold bit into Magnus's skin causing him to yelp and shake the snow out from under his clothes. He glared at a sniggering Alec.
"I cannot believe I fell for that again!" Magnus ranted, "You're in trouble now, Alec Lightwood." He smirked as he grabbed a handful of snow and Alec leapt from his seat on the trunk of the tree and ran. Dropping the snow, Magnus ran after him. Alec's laughter echoed in his ears as his arms wrapped around Alec's waist, holding him tightly. "Do you submit?" Magnus asked.
"No way!" Alec said, still laughing. Magnus turned Alec around to face him, tight enough that Alec couldn't escape. "Last chance!" Magnus grinned, Alec shrugged as his blue eyes shone with happiness. Magnus sighed, "You don't make this easy on yourself. I know for a fact you are very ticklish!"
Alec's widened, "You wouldn't do tha..." His words got cut off by laughter as Magnus began tickling his sides.
They dropped into the snow, side by side with Magnus still tickling Alec's side, tears of mirth streamed down Alec's cheeks. "Once more, Alexander. Do you submit?" Alec, slowly gained control of his laughter and looking Magnus's directly in the eyes, wiping away the tears of laughter. He wrapped an arm around Magnus's neck and pulled Magnus's face down towards him. Their lips collided. As they pulled back for breath, Alec whispered, "That count?" Magnus nodded, completely lost for words.
"I love you Alexander." Magnus whispered, finally, staring directly into Alec's bright blue eyes.
"I love you too." Alec replied. Together they climbed to their feet and Magnus grinned, "I'm pretty sure you remember what happens next." Alec nodded, holding out his hands for Magnus to hold. A familiar warm burst of air surrounded them, warming their frozen skin and drying their damp clothes. "A lot better." Alec smiled, kissing Magnus's cheek before leading the Warlock from the park by the hand.
Alec led Magnus down the icy pavements and up towards Brooklyn bridge, humming a tune under his breath. "We are millionaires!" He muttered quietly but Magnus still heard him. With a smile Magnus added, "Lost my heart and I hope to die, seeing that sunlight hit your eyes."
Glancing back at Magnus, Alec grinned, "Been up all night but you still look amazing to me."
"Why thank you Alexander." Magnus grinned, Alec laughed. Standing at the rail, looking out over the city, Alec murmured, "The band was on, playing our song we messed up the lyrics as we sang along."
"But we didn't care, because it felt like we were the only ones there." Magnus added, wrapping an arm around Alec's waist and pulled him closer. Alec rested his head against Magnus's shoulder with a smile. "Coffee?" Magnus asked, "Only if you'll let me summon it. I don't feel like moving right now." Alec nodded again and soon he was cradling a steaming hot cup of coffee in his frozen hands, he smiled gratefully at Magnus.
Magnus placed his lips by Alec's ear, "Aku Cinta Kamu." He whispered, kissing Alec's neck lightly. Alec shivered, "Aku Cinta Kamu."
