Part 5

The winter was making me freeze. Literally. I've been actually nipping on my nails for awhile now as I answered the Math exercise Koro-sensei had given me.

"You know, you have the same habit as Karma." Ritsu turned to me.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "What habit?"

"Feasting on your nails like it's a chocolate."

I rolled my eyes. "Just continue answering your exercise, Ritsu."

It was a good thing that Karma didn't go to school today. Not very unusual, I'd say. Besides the fact that my day had been going clearly joyful, I can clearly see Itona-kun. Karma wasn't in the way of the impressive sight.

"Itona-kun might melt, you know." Sugaya-kun whispered, and my cheeks burned. I covered my face in embarrassment, shook my head and focused on the Math worksheet.

When I was done, my gaze returned to Itona-kun. This time, he noticed that someone had been staring at him for awhile now so he glanced around the room only to find me staring blankly at him. I smiled and waved awkwardly at him, hoping that he'd return it. "Hey." He mouthed and gave me a small nod, though he didn't smile. That was quite understandable since his nature wasn't like that.

But still though... he talked to me! I have to keep in my squeal.

"(Y/N)-san, what's up with you? You look like a mouse being trapped, keeping in a scream." Koro-sensei asked. Everybody's eyes were on me now, including Itona-kun. If possible, my face went redder than ever.

"I uhh..."

"She just bit her tongue accidentally since it was a habit of hers to bite onto her nails." Sugaya-kun defended for me.

"Thanks." I mouthed when all of them turned away and nodded.

"Happy to help!" He whispered, winking as I sighed in relief.

The door bursts open a little later and it revealed Akabane.

"Yo." He strolled in the classroom way too casually for Koro-sensei's sake who gave him an icy stare.

"Karma-kun, I don't like students who are—"

"Ohh, would you look at this. (Y/N) has transferred seats." He mused, eyeing me. I raised an eyebrow as if to question him his problem. "Oh, nothing. You still gotta be careful, though." I had an extreme nervousness at what he just warned me. The devil is back.

"Koro-sensei, where's my worksheet?"

The class went by in a strangely quiet manner. Koro-sensei had left the classroom because he wanted to get something to drink from Africa. Well good for him.

When he came back to retrieve the worksheets, he cleared his throat. "I have an announcement to make." He bellowed. "Later on, I am inviting everyone to stay after school. We're gonna have an extra period. But don't worry, it won't include lessons. It's actually gonna be very fun." His tone was sly, and this made the students mull over his plans.

"I can't wait! I'm gonna stay." Hara-san giggled, clasping her hands together. "What about you, (y/n)-san, Sugaya-kun?"

"I'm gonna stay!" I replied, feeling bubbly all of a sudden as I beamed at them.

"Huh, interesting." I heard Karma mumble to himself. "But I'd say I have to pass."

Koro-sensei overheard this. "No!! Karma-kun, please stay."

Karma tilted his head. “Sorry, I want to finish up a game I’ve been playing up on my Nintendo.”

“Oh, but this activity is very exciting. Really. Cross my heart, hope to die.” He even laid down on the floor to, uhm, prove his point and exaggerate.

“What do we do, anyway?”

“It’s a secret and a surprise. But please, stay!”

“I’m not good at handling surprises, but sure, since you want to.” Then he suddenly brought out his anti-sensei knife and swung it around in an attempt to stab Koro-sensei. And as always, since the octopus has super good reflex and speed, he managed to dodge it.

“Nurufufufu, why thank you.” He snickered, a snide smirk plastered on his face. He’s definitely up to something.

“Hey, Koro-sensei!” I yelled, trying to get his attention. He slid over to me with his annoying squishy tentacles.

“What is it? You know that screaming is unladylike. You shouldn’t be doing that.” He shook his head, sounding disapproving.

“I just want to know what you’ve got under your sleeves. Are you planning to hurt us or something?”

Koro-sensei laughed heartily. “Like I said, I won’t be telling you.”

“Yeah? What if I make you?”

“Nurufufufu. Make me.”

I sighed in annoyance and defeat. Slumping back onto my chair lazily, other periods went by in a blur.

And the next thing I knew, it was already dismissal time.

Only a few of us had been left and Koro-sensei sulked all about it. Others were very busy, and some were lucky they were free.

“... Really, huh?” Karma’s voice came out of nowhere. He was talking to Kimura-kun, amusement written all over his face. “I get it.”

“(y/n)-san! Come here!” The girls motioned for me to come over to where they were.

“Hey, you’re gonna be Yia, the girl who’s in love with Haru.” Kataoka-san instructed.

“And who’s gonna be Haru? Wait a minute, are we doing a play?”

Kayano-chan grinned. “Yep, a French play to be exact. Koro-sensei had prepared all the scripts.”

“Haru, from what I know, will be played by Isogai-kun. But since he’s got work he’ll have his replacement.”

“Ohh... I see.” Itona-kun sounds like Isogai-kun and he’s here so... “Who’s the replacement?” I asked, a hopeful glint in my eyes.

“It’s up to the boys over there. By the way, Koro-sensei flew over to France for our props. That’s what he’d like to say.”

“I hope he’s not planning to drag Eiffel tower over here.” I mumbled, looking over to the guys’ side. “Who’s Haru?” I shouted, sure that my voice boomed in the classroom.

“Maehara.” Kataoka-san jabbed a thumb to Maehara’s direction who waved ecstatically with a grin. I didn’t notice he was there.

“It’s not Itona-kun...” I murmured, too disappointed.

“What was that?” Somebody whispered as shivers ran down my spine.

“Ahh! Koro-sensei! It’s nothing!” I exclaimed, face all red.

“Okay then, start practicing your lines!”
