Part 3

I looked up at Karma who stood in front of my desk. "What." I didn't know if I had blurted it out in an interrogative way or a declarative way.

He went to ignore my question and made his way to his desk. What was that all about? Standing in front of my desk without a reason and then leaving?

"Student on-duty, please issue your commands." Koro-sensei, on his usual chirpy, bubbly mood, put down the attendance notebook.

It was me on-duty.

"Stand!" Everybody stood up as they brought out their guns. "At attention! Bow!" We then started firing our guns at Koro-sensei who moved at Mach 20 speed.

"Karma-kun."

"Here."

"Isogai-kun."

"Here."

The roll call continues with us shooting relentlessly and Koro-sensei avoiding all our attacks. Then as my name gets called, we all let go of our weapons and fell down the floor in exhaustion. Again, we failed to kill Koro-sensei.

"How about we clean up this mess and start the lesson?" Koro-sensei suggested with a grin that irritated us.

"The assignments are killing me. Why did he decide to double it?" Kayano-chan groaned. "And this is a miracle. Karma and you are together in this group, heading home."

Karma and I looked at each other and rolled our eyes. Kayano-chan and Nagisa-kun laughed. "Wow, your actions are in perfect sync!"

"But I hate him." I confirmed, huffing and walking ahead of them.

The three people continued to chat and soon, Karma and I were the only ones left. We had nothing to talk about, just like yesterday. It was clear that he despised me as much as I despised him. It was just my luck that our way home were the same.

I turned right as soon as I see my house, but the exact same time I did Karma shouted, "Come here for a sec!" I frowned at him deeply. He must be planning something. I'd never fall for such a trick again.

"Why so?"

"You don't want to?"

"It's not like you can scare me, Erza." He narrowed his eyes at me as if to ask who was the person I just mentioned. "You don't need to know who she is." I added, turning away from him and going inside my house.

I worked on my assignments first before eating dinner. After that, my phone beeped. Well, it had beeped for several times now. My eyebrow shoots skywards as soon as I read the email.

From: Isogai-kun
Subject: hi!! :D

Happy birthday! More birthdays to come, and don't worry, you'll receive your gift from me, Class 3E and Koro-sensei tomorrow! :D

More messages actually kept on coming, mostly from my classmates. I beamed, not being able to help it. They were so sweet!

Then I received another message, one that made my heart flutter.

From: Itona-kun
Subject: -

Happy birthday, (y/n)-san.

If you're going to ask, then yes, I've got a little crush on him. But it was only a little, not really a major one. My type of crush on him was more of the idolizing type, not the "like" type.

Still though, I can't help but squeal.

"Happy birthday!" They sang. I didn't really feel like crying in front of them, and a tear was never shed from my eyes. I smiled at them warmly.

"Thank you." I said sheepishly. "Aren't you guys sweet?"

"Well, that's class 3E." Bitch-sensei shrugged, grinning and patting my shoulder. "So do you have a wish? Do so so that these kids can devour the cake." She pointed to my classmates who were drooling over the chocolate cake that was made by Kayano-chan. I was actually ogling my eyes over the delicacy along with Koro-sensei and some of my classmates.

"Okay," I replied, snickering as I stared at the cake and made my wish. I hope that class 3E will have a good future. Then I blew the cake. My classmates erupted into cheers and leapt onto the cake just as I did.

Along with Koro-sensei, that is.

"Such children." Bitch-sensei murmured.

"You include that octopus as a child?" Karasuma-sensei's eyebrows were furrowed as he watched Koro-sensei.

"His mind is."

"How rude! I heard that!" Koro-sensei answered in a muffled voice as he gulped down the cake.

When I was satisfied, I climbed down the cake. Someone threw me a piece of tissue. Karma. I was about to tell him off when he spoke. "Wipe off the chocolate beside your lips. You look ridiculous." He then went out the classroom as my cheeks burned. Sure enough, I had so much chocolate beside my lips. That was embarrassing.

Oh, so that's why something felt off. Yesterday, I feel like someone didn't greet me even through email. Then again, he didn't greet me today even if it's late. He also didn't eat a slice of chocolate cake. But meh, who cares. That should suit him since he always calls me a tomboy and he pranks me a lot.

"Are you okay?" Sugino-kun asked when he saw me standing in the middle of the classroom looking like a complete idiot.

"Yeah."

"Happy birthday, by the way!" He handed me a baseball bat that had a yellow ribbon tied to it. I laughed.

"Great gift. Thanks!"

Everyone has given me the best gifts. Karasuma-sensei gave me (f/f) as a gift and I ate it as soon as possible.

Okay, maybe not everyone gave me gifts. Karma didn't give me one, but I couldn't care less. At least Itona-kun did, and the present is somewhat useful to me.

I smiled at my classmates as I went home.

Then again, Karma and I were the only ones left after a few more minutes. I turned right when my house reached my sight, but then again, Karma called my name. When I turned to face him, a box smacked my face. It was a set of vanilla cupcakes. "What the heck, Karma!?" I yelled, but he just waved at me. Looking down on the cupcakes on my hands, I mumbled. "I do hope there's no poison in this."

There was a note plastered on the box.

Happy birthday.

-Karma

Well at least I don't think someone is really bad.

I took a bite on a cupcake and my face fell when saltiness filled my tongue. "Ack! Karma! You..."

At the back of the note was...

Hope you like it :D

I really shouldn't assume things.
