Part 15

"Punch?" Maehara offered, grinning. I gracefully took it from him and drunk it in one swig. "Hey, you problematic or something?"

"Nope, just wanna have a good time!" I responded as ecstatically as I can.

"Oh, that's the way everything should be. Join our table!" Before I could speak further, he was yanking me towards a table where Itona-kun was. I blushed a little.

"And one of our little royalty is back." Isogai remarked, lifting an amused brow. "How's life?"

"Chillin'." I casually answered, nodding once and raising a plastic cup from the table. Everyone in the table guffawed at what they witnessed.

Currently we were in a bar, partying for Karma and I's return. I didn't see the point of this but seeing their lively faces, I couldn't turn them down. More like couldn't turn Koro-sensei down.

Karma, ever since we arrived here, was nowhere to be found. He's been missing in action for thirty six minutes already according to Koro-sensei.

Class 3E was disturbed, but decided to have fun since we party once in a blue moon. Irina-sensei (unbelievably) and Karasuma-sensei spent all their monthly allowance for this.

Kayano had that disconcerted look on her face. "It's getting late. I need to go home..."

Nagisa suddenly spoke. "Do you want me to take you home? It's dark outside."

Kaede's face turned a bright shade of red. "U-Uhm—"

"She says yes." Nakamura chimed in, winking and laughing as Kayano turned redder than ever. "You're a good boy, Nagisa. You deserve a pat on the back."

"I can manage—"

"Correction: can't, Kayano-chan." Nakamura insisted, smirking. "Anyway, we should go home. Time to end the celebration. And Nagisa, you're still taking home Kayano."

Thinking about Nakamura-san's sentence in a different way, it seemed like Nagisa should bring Kayano to his house.

The room was filled with teasings from me and my classmates. Koro-sensei's famous "nurufufu" was the most heard noise in the place.

"Oh yeah. How about Karma?" Sugino asked out of nowhere, voice loud enough for everyone to hear.

Koro-sensei's squishy moves echoed. "He's drinking."

"Alcohol?" I queried.

"Strawberry juice." I should've known.

"But where is he?"

"Home." The yellow octopus pulled out a random chair. "After drinking, he fell asleep."

Everyone became quiet for some reason, and the karaoke was paused. It felt like a solemn moment or something.

"I'll be cloning myself to make sure everyone is safe." He added up a moment later.

"Don't you think disturbing the two—"

"Oh, Yada, I'll be watching them from afar." Koro-sensei sniggered, and that suppressed laugh effectively conveyed to us his secret motive. When I say us, it's except for Nagisa.

Kayano puffed out her cheeks then proceeded to leaving the venue.

"Well folks, see 'ya."

It's not my fault I can't sleep because of that stupid "u kicw tiy". It's like a puzzle needed to be solved.

Truth is, I wasn't very concerned the first time Karma told me that. Tonight, my brain was very active so it went reminiscing. Unfortunately, I remembered those words. Now I had a hard time sleeping, curious.

Goddamn it.

The bedside clock kept ticking on ticking, irritating me. I now feel like I'm in a quiz bee and the answer I'd be saying would increase the chance of winning.

Boredom. Curiosity. Insomnia.

A knock on my door interrupted my thoughts.

I unlocked the door and switched on the lights.

"Oh my strawberry."

In a blue sweatshirt stood the smartest kid in Class 3E, face straight.

"Let me in."

"But—"

"I said let me in."

I rolled my eyes, and I don't know what got to me but I obliged. I opened the door wider for him to slip in easily.

He scrutinized the whole room like he was some interior designing expert and would rearrange my bedroom. He stopped at a certain direction, and when I looked at where he was staring, it's my baby picture.

I ran to hide the frame since it wasn't the most photogenic baby picture I had. In fact, it's the most humiliating. I forgot to hide it.

"You're all naked in that baby picture." Karma drawled, and I could see a pale tint of pink on his cheeks. "What if somebody burst in your room and saw that?"

I sighed, not bothering to answer and proceeding to hiding the frame—somewhere where nobody would be able to see it. A moment later, I turned to him. "Why are you here?"

For the whole forty-five seconds—as I waited for a reply—we had a staring contest.

"Ugh. I hate this."

He quirked a brow, averting his gaze. "Oh?"

"Well, response please?"

"Just dropped by."

I looked at him blankly. "Is that how you drop by? Knocking on a person's room at two in the morning? And how did you even get in? Mom's asleep!"

"First of all, I do things my own way. Second, she's not. She's downstairs, preparing our midnight snacks."

I almost choked. "Excuse me? Our midnight snacks?"

He shrugged. "I am your guest."

If anything, I would want to go out of my own room and just take a stroll around the streets. I'd rather eat in a convenience store alone than to eat with Karma.

It's settled. Downstairs is my only option.

As I reached the living room, I saw mom placing down two plates of graham balls and two glasses of iced tea. I was more than relieved to know that the red head wasn't behind me.

The doorbell rang. I squinted my eyes. Who in the world would go to our house this late at night other than Akabane?

Mom opened the door. It revealed Koro-sensei in the worst disguise.

Of course.

"Hi, (y/n)-san. There's an important matter I would like to discuss with you."

"Oh-kay... do you know why Karma is here?"

"He'd be discussing it with us. Wait a minute, I'll get him in your room."

He knew Karma was in my room!?

Approximately two minutes later, Karma and Koro-sensei came back. For some reason, Karma was blushing furiously. Very furiously. It made him cute to be honest. Koro-sensei had this mysterious grin on his face.

"So..." Koro-sensei started once we settled down.
