Part 11

I'm reallyyyyy sorry for the very late update! I've been busy with school lately and forgot about Wattpad. Gomenasai! This is a short update, but I promise that I will try to make the updates as frequent as I can from now on.

Second week.

It was only the second week of me being here in Malaysia but my mind seemed stuck in an error. A very frustrating error.

"(y/n)-chan!" Someone called out. It's one of my classmates, inviting me over for lunch. But of course, the little happiness I feel won't last for long. "Karma-kun!" See?

"I won't be eating lunch." I yelled back. "The teacher made me do a chore, sorry!"

"Okay!"

"Come to think of it, yeah." I turned to Karma who just spoke. "Miss Walnuts told the both of us to get some papers in the storage room." Could this day get any better?

"Oh, really?" I said sarcastically.

"Yep. Let's do the work."

He wasn't bullying or annoying me of some sort, but heck, I feel so irritated with his mere presence, much more when he talks to me. Why is he here anyway? Why didn't Koro-sensei tell me all about this? Karma could fly with me in the airplane (though I wouldn't want that). Is this what he meant when he told me I won't be needing a remembrance? What a dumb question. Of course it is. The smile on his face the day I headed for Malaysia says it all.

Apparently, the work assigned for us was simple and easy to do: carrying third grade test papers to the faculty room. Karma wasn't an a-hole for now which kind of relieved me.

"So. . ." His tone wasn't awkward. It was too casual—too casual that you can hint malice in it. "After school, do you wanna hang out?"

"No thanks." Was my fast reply.

"Why not? I mean, we're friends and all—"

"Oh? Who said that? I'm not informed."

He stopped in his tracks, feigning shock as he held the big stack of paper. "Aren't we?"

I smiled, though I was getting irritated. “Let’s just finish the work.”

He fell in step with me. “B-But. . . don’t you want to? It’ll be for what, thirty minutes?”

“Lemme see. No.”

“Give me 100 reasons.”

“Shall I kiss you for you to stay put? Okay, I’ll hang out with you for one minute.”

“That’s short.” He said, his tone not protesting. “But it’ll do.” I squinted my eyes at him. This guy is planning something. I have to escape later.

Lunch and other periods came by, and soon enough, the bell that dismissed students rang. We all stood up abruptly and I tried to blend in the crowd for the red head not to see me.

Which, by the way, was a success.

I was staying in a dorm two blocks away from our school which means I always walked. However, in order for me to fully escape and avoid Karma, I had to ride a car with my classmate who lived in the same dorm I’m in.

But I think I made a wrong decision.

My classmate beside me currently was a freaking maniac. He’s handsome and all that with his brown hair stuck up like a pineapple and almost golden eyes like Karma. He would’ve become my crush like Itona-kun if only he didn’t squeeze my thigh. A yelp almost escaped me as the driver continued driving without noticing anything.

“Guess you’re perfect.” He whispered in a husky tone, making shivers run down my spine.

“Okay, goodbye.” We already arrived at the dorm. Before he could even touch me further, I shot up from the comfy seat and went out of the car.

“Oh, I’ve been waiting for you.”

What. The. Hell.

Did Karma walk? I mean, he arrived faster than I did!

“Knew you’d try to escape me.” He mumbled, gently grabbing my pinky finger and linking it with his. “Don’t be shy now.” I glared at him.

“I have other plans.”

“You said this’ll be for a minute.” Karma smiled. . . genuinely smiled. “Now.” He pecked the side of my lips and ran off.

Wait, what did he just do?

°·•~

All night I was up, and the reason was because of a certain someone named Karma Akabane. When I entered school the next day, I was practically sure this is what everyone saw from me: disarrayed hair, bags under the eyes—a zombie, for short.

I held the side of my lips last night, and now it’s becoming a very bad habit. Dude, who the hell does he think he is, almost stealing the first kiss of a girl? Sure, I’d want it to be from Itona-kun.

“(y/n)-chan.” Danica, another classmate of mine, called me out in a desperate voice. “Look at this.”

I took the time to peer at her phone. A girl and a boy. “Huh?”

“Look closely.”

“Oh. Shit.”

The picture consisted of Karma kissing the side of my lips. “It’s all over the internet now! I didn’t know you had a relationship with him, goodness.”

“Who posted that?”

“Um, unknown source. But you’ve received many negative comments from social media users. They’re saying they’re still highschool kids and all that.” A frustrated sigh escaped my lips. Why did Karma even do that anyway? He wouldn’t get anything from it aside from pleasure and entertainment. I would’ve forgiven him by now but the picture being all over the internet for everyone to see? Class 3E and Koro-sensei. . . no, Itona-kun!

“This is terrible.” I groaned, rubbing my temples. “What do I do?”

She pursed her lips, deep in thought. “Let’s see. . . the best thing to do is avoid being with Karma-kun as much as possible starting today. People will recognize you everywhere you go, but all these would pass as time goes by. You should disguise yourself.”

How will I be able to do that? Karma is everywhere, he’d surely notice the avoidance. Oh, him. What’s his say about this? He would totally freak out.

Right?

And disguising myself is a nice yet impossible mission.

“I don’t really know anymore.”

“Calm down. It’s gonna be alright, trust me.”

Ugh. In what angle is this situation I’m in alright? “This is all Karma’s fault. He’s gonna pay for this.” I grumbled. Danica swallowed in fear, knowing fully well what I was about to do.
