Zero-Tolerance - Ochako x Izuku
damn, it's really august?
Ochako had wanted to be Izuku's roommate for numerous reasons. The biggest being that she wanted to be around him, the smallest being that she was embarrassed about the fact that she still lived with her parents. Even after everyone had graduated, her feelings did the opposite of what they should've done. They got even stronger, to the point where Izuku was on her mind for the majority of the day.
She planned to ask him the big question soon, but she had to get prepared..
...
Ochako knocked on the door and stepped back. She was in a mix of anxiety and excitement, but tried to keep a calm appearance, but inside of her mind, it was just a huge mess in there..
Her crush on him never faltered, and instead only got stronger as the time passed. From what she could tell from the 2 year anniversary reunion party that had happened weeks ago, Izuku was still stuttering at times and still blushed around her when she teased him. She gets immediately pushed out of her thoughts when she hears footsteps approaching the door, making her heart beat rise by the second..
"Oh, Uraraka? I didn't expect to see you here.. D-do you need something?" Izuku was surprised to see her so soon after the reuniting party. "W-well.. I just wanted to know about how you're holding up, o-obviously.." Ochako was looking straight down at her feet, feeling way too anxious. "I'm doing alright. What about you? I-Is everything alright? I haven't seen you since the p-party.." Izuku had picked up on her nervousness the moment he answered the door. He had no clue why or what was going on with her.. "Y-yeah! I'm doing ok, I'm j-just here to ask you a question.. Deku.."
"Y-yes?"
"I have a request to make.. c-can I.. uh.." She couldn't even make up her words. At this point, she felt as if she couldn't face Izuku without appearing nervous or even sometimes being disappointed in herself for not confessing earlier. She had planned to at least get into a relationship with him before they graduated, but sadly, it never happened.
Something came to her all of a sudden. Her excitement from earlier came out of nowhere, giving her the courage to ask the question. With a long deep breath before, she exclaimed..
"Can I live with you?!"
Izuku was dumbfounded, he expected her to just ask for a favor, but to live with him?!
"L-like as a roommate..?" Izuku was shocked, but did remember a time when he considered having a roommate, so it wasn't a horrible idea to let her stay. "I'm having some issues with getting a place to stay, so uh.. I-I mean you don't have to! I-I don't want to b-burden you at all.." There was some truth to her statement. She had felt kind of embarrassed that she was still living with her parents. Plus she was still working on getting enough money to live on her own..
"Sure. Y-you can be my roommate." He barely even thought about his answer, it was mostly out of nowhere. He felt that it wouldn't be so bad if it was someone he already knew. She could also help him out with the bills, and be good company. He saw a lot more pros than cons.
"Oh, w-well guess I'll find ano-.. wait, you said yes?!" She didn't expect a yes for obvious reasons. She even had an answer prepared if he declined her ready to say on the spot.
"Yeah, sure. I-I mean I can sleep on the couch, it's comfortable enough over there.." Izuku still didn't know her situation, so he decided it was best not to ask about it so soon. "Ok! I'll bring m-my stuff over in a bit, thank you so much!" Ochako was overjoyed, and was instantly hit with a wave of relief. It was such a huge risk to her, but her efforts paid off.
Ochako randomly pulled Izuku into a tight embrace, making Izuku squeal in response. He tried his hardest to keep his composure, but it was hard to do, since he could feel her whole chest pressing up against his. She held him for at least 20 seconds when she finally snapped out of her trance, and backed up.
"Ok, I-I'll see y-you soon!"
..
Izuku tidied up his whole apartment room, not wanting to appear lazy. It was the first time that he would live with someone that wasn't his mom, and was thankful that it was Ochako. If it was someone he'd barely known, the situation would've been so much more awkward then it already was..
It was currently 9:32 PM, about 12 hours since Ochako had left to get her things. He was finished with doing all the housework, so it was finally time to just sit down and relax. There was nothing to do so he just decided to lift some weights, something that could temporarily take his mind off of his nervousness.
The doorbell rings, snapping Izuku out of his mumbling state, about how he'd handle the situation.. He takes a deep breath and walks up to the door, and opens it to see a brunette who he'd known for years..
Ochako stood there with a suitcase and a backpack that was slightly bulging, showing she came fully prepared. Izuku welcomed her inside and helped her out with the unpacking bit, which was a lot more fun then he thought it would be. They both made the decisions on where to put her things, and ended up spending about 2 hours with something that should've taken 30 minutes.
"Jeez, it's 11 in the night already? Time flew by quickly, huh.." Ochako checked the time on his alarm clock. The only light source in the room was the moon shining in from the window, indicating that it was time to sleep..
They both got into their positions, Izuku on the couch, and Ochako on the bed..
"Deku?" She quietly called out his name.
"Mmh?" Izuku was half asleep.
"I had fun. Thanks for letting me stay.."
"Mhm.. no.. problemmh.."
..
It was the weekend, so they had a very nice and good night's sleep. Ochako had woken up earlier to make both of them breakfast, suddenly feeling like his wife. Just the thought of being his bride made her feel bubbly inside, she could fantasize about that thought for hours if she had no distractions..
Izuku woke up to the sound of sizzling, it felt familiar to him. As if he was still living with his mom, it felt nostalgic. He sat up and looked to the direction of the noise, just to see Ochako in a pink apron at his stove cooking something he couldn't quite see. He had completely forgotten that she was living with him, but quickly remembered the events of the day before.
He stood up and stretched, instantly picking up the smell of something delicious. He walks over to Ochako who had her back turned to him, not noticing that he was fully awake and walking towards her. He looks over her shoulder out of nowhere, completely startling her, resulting in her almost going into "i am going to beat your ass" mode. She squealed adorably after quickly realizing it wasn't a threat, but just the boy on her mind.
"D-deku! I was trying to make this a surprise.." Ochako wanted to wake him up with "breakfast in couch", but it seemed fate had other plans. "You don't have to do all the cooking yourself, let me help.." Izuku offered some assistance, kind of surprising Ochako. She didn't see him as the cooking type, but she knew he wasn't a lowlife who would sit back and let everyone else do things for him.
"Don't worry, it's mostly finished. Just relax, ok? I'll be done in a bit." Ochako's tone was sincere and assuring, something that Izuku had a weakness to. He couldn't say no to someone who offered so nicely.
..
Present Time
After a long week of fooling around and finding different activities to do after the exhausting hero-work, they felt a lot closer then they did before. Izuku enjoyed her company, and felt a whole lot less lonely then he did while living alone.
Unfortunately, everyday since she moved in, he had to abruptly stop the game or activity they were doing to meet up with someone pretty late at night. The girl he met up with had suggested that they kept their business private, which confused him but he kept his word. It wasn't anything crazy like having sexual encounters, but it was something to help him out in battle in case he needed it.
Ochako always wanted to come along, but he told her it was something she couldn't know about. She had her suspicions but trusted him, and let him go each time.
She wondered about this "private business" he had. Was it some sort of mission? Was it some sort of information only he could hear? She tried to think of anything that would make sense, only ending up wondering more of his whereabouts. After spending her whole week with him, she felt so much closer then before. She felt as if she would get to know him a lot better over the coming weeks.
..
It had been 3 hours since he left. Usually, he'd get back in about 30 minutes or less, which she always was fine with. Ochako began to get worried, but reminded herself that Izuku probably wouldn't be dumb enough to get himself kidnapped. She continued to watch TV to take her mind off of it but the only thing in her mind was Izuku and where he was.
Izuku's real business was meeting up with a girl who he'd been speaking to for the last week or so. Mei Hatsume, who had been helping him out with quite a lot of things.
(ah shit, here we go again)
They spent their time by testing things, since Izuku was her new "test subject" of sorts. Mei had requested that he kept it private for a few reasons, and he kept his word. He didn't allow her to use potentially lethal inventions, but still tested out her small inventions. They ended up spending hours on just choosing which one worked the best for him, but he finally chose some upgrades to his arm braces.
"Time flew by way too fast! Come by tomorrow night too, I wanna go shopping for some things and I need someone to carry the bags back here."
"Do I meet you at the same time?"
"Yep!"
...
"That took a long time, she's either asleep or worried sick right now.." Izuku pulls his phone out only to see that it was dead. He sighs in annoyance and continues his walk home, which wasn't super far.
He opens the door to see no lights were on in the house. It was safe to assume that Ochako had fallen asleep, but he still wasn't completely sure. He heard nothing but the white noise of his fan blowing softly, until..
"Deku! Where have you been?!" Ochako runs out of the darkness into his line of sight. She had been waiting, not even letting herself fall asleep. "I-I was doing something.. why aren't you asleep?!" "Because I was waiting for you, duh! Why can't you tell me where you were at? Or where you always go? Can you just tell me why you can't tell me?" Ochako was impatient, and needed a quick response. Izuku sighed to himself..
"F-fine.. I was with Mei. She's helping me out with my gear like old times, but she doesn't want me telling anyone for a some reasons. So.. please just keep us under wraps for now.."
"Mei..
..first name basis?"
She mumbled the last part, knowing exactly why that ticked her off so much. "So Hatsume has been helping you? Why couldn't you bring me along this whole time? Are you two doing something inappropriate..?" Ochako had the right to be suspicious. With how it sounded, he couldn't blame her. He just didn't know why she cared so much.
"N-no! It's not like that, I swear! She's just helping me, b-but I know why she wants it secret, and I'm sorry but I can't tell you." Izuku felt way too sleepy to be arguing at that moment. "Fine then. I'll let it slide, let's just go to sleep." Ochako still had a hint of anger in her voice.
..
Later, The Next Night
They finished their intense board game just in time for Izuku to make his leave. He was hoping to leave without any sort of arguments making him late, since Mei was pretty strict on time and would scold him if he was late. "Uhm, I gotta go.. I'll see you later, but don't worry I'll be back soon.." Izuku stands up and holds his breath..
"You're gonna meet up with Hatsume, right? Let me come along. I won't tell anybody of what you two do, I'll just watch." Ochako had a calm tone of voice, but Izuku couldn't help but feel as if she had an ulterior motive. "I'm sorry, but I can't. Like I said, we have our own reasons, so you'll just have to hold on a little bit longer." Izuku declines her offer, only infuriating the brunette a lot more. She plans to put pressure, until..
"Anyway, gotta go!"
"Hey, wa-"
Izuku slams the door, interrupting her plan which she couldn't even put into action. She sighs in annoyance and immediately gets up to slip her shoes on, ready to go on a stealth mission.
"Right on time! Now let's go do some late night shopping~!" Mei clasps Izuku's hand and basically drags him to the supermarket, not even letting him know of what she was planning to buy. She goes straight for the tech aisle, still tightly holding onto Izuku's hand and basically dragging the poor greenhead. In the distance, a certain brunette was watching from afar. She was pissed, with the only thought in her mind being "Why couldn't he take me along?" She wondered if Mei had something else planned..
"Ok, this is all I need. Carry this for me, please?" Mei grabbed a massive box with a drone inside, handing it to the distressed greenhead. "Are you sure you have enough money for this?!" The moment Izuku had looked at the price tag, his heart dropped to his toes. He could never spend so much money..
"Yep! Now let's go~!"
After the very short shopping trip was finished, she led him back to her home, which was nothing like Ochako had expected it to be. She followed both of them to what she expected to be just a small lab or even a small home, but the house was massive. She hid behind a gate as the 2 stopped at her front door.
Mei looked down in slight embarrassment. A question that had been on her mind the whole time was finally going to escape her mind..
"I know this was barely even considered a date, but can we do what we did a few days ago? You know.. after the actual date we had.."
Ochako's eyes widen.
"I-I thought that was a o-one time thing.. b-but if you want to.."
Ochako had seen enough. She quietly made her exit right before they leaned into a kiss, not wanting to see it at all. The feeling of jealousy she had back when they were students had returned, even stronger then ever before. But this time, she could act on it. She had always hated it when other girls tried to flirt with him, since they always seemed so desperate to steal what she claimed indirectly.
Izuku came back home to expect 1 of 2 things to happen. Either Ochako would pop out of nowhere and scold his head off, or she'd be asleep. He was thankful that it was the latter, seeing that she was dead asleep on what used to be his bed..
..
Izuku woke up to the sound of cooking. He'd gotten used to Ochako waking up early to make breakfast, but this time, things were a little bit different. By a little, I mean a lot different.
Izuku attempts to sit himself up, but finds himself unable to move. He pulls on his arm to notice a rope tightly tied around his wrist, and sees the same done with all of his other limbs. "Ochako! Did you do this?! What's going on?!" Izuku shouted for her name in hopes of an answer. Ochako turns around with an innocent smile on her face, and turns off the stove to make sure the house doesn't burn down.
"I'm super confused by your unconscious state, how do you not wake up to me tightening ropes on you but you do wake up to me cooking?" Ochako had her same old bubbly tone. As if nothing at all was going on.
"But why am I in tied up?!"
"To ensure that you won't leave me and go meet her again!"
