Chapter 3
(Y/N)'s POV
I stared blankly at my closet, trying to decide what to wear. Koujaku was such a stylish person, and I didn't want to embarrass myself. Casual or formal? Dark or light colours? I really had no idea what I should look like.
I finally picked out a (Favourite/Colour) button up shirt and dark pants. I washed my face and brushed my teeth, making sure I was presentable. My chest was hurting, and I was getting nervous fast. I never wanted to be invited out, I just wanted to get my hair cut.
I should have turned down his offer, I thought as I splashed cold water on my face. I'll feel so out of place. Especially since he and Aoba are childhood friends.
I found myself becoming saddened at the thought of not fitting in with the pair, and even considered not showing up. However, as fate would have it, I stuffed my feet in my shoes and left towards Koujaku's salon.
It was already getting dark out, however, in the slight moonlight, I could make out Koujaku's tall figure standing right outside the building. He looked just as attractive as usual, and he seemed to admit a glittery aura everywhere he went. Kind of like a shojo anime character, he just seemed to be glowing. He soon noticed my staring, and flashed me the same kind smile as he did before.
"You look nice," he said, taking a step towards me. "And, no surprise, Aoba isn't here yet." He sighed and placed his large hands on his hips.
"Are we actually going to leave without him?" I asked, and Koujaku laughed.
"No, we're not. He's a knucklehead, but he's a good kid. He's probably just lookin' after his poor old Granny."
"S- sorry I'm late!" Aoba shouted. He was out of breath from running, and put his hands on his knees to try and regulate his breathing.
"You're not late," Koujaku said. "Check the time, Aoba."
Upon being told, Aoba glanced at the coil around his wrist and frowned at what he saw. "Oh. So I'm not. Well, at least (Y/N) is here. Now we can head out right away."
"Are you ready to go, (Y/N)?" Koujaku asked me, and I felt extremely pressured to answer. My chest tightened, and my palms become moist.
"Y- yeah," I nodded. "Let's go."
We all walked to a nearby bar together. On the way, Aoba and Koujaku spoke normally to one another, and I was pleased to find that I was even able to participate in the conversation here and there. Koujaku led us to a club that, as he mentioned, he and Mizuki frequented at. It was filled with lots of flashing, coloured lights and tons of people dancing. The music was loud enough to melt my brain and the whole place reeked of narcotics. It was a bit stressful to be so far out of my comfort zone with people I didn't even know, but I didn't think it would be so bad. I sat at the bar counter and opened my mouth to order a drink.
A few drinks later...
My head was spinning all over the place, and the noise of the club wasn't making my situation any better. I lifted my head, which was heavy like bricks to look for Koujaku and Aoba, but they were out on the dance floor having fun.
*hic!* *hic!*
A few stray hiccups escaped my lips before I realized... I had gotten drunk.
"I need to go to the bathroom..." I muttered to no one in particular and I began trying to lift myself off of the bar stool. It came with great dificulty, however eventually I was on my feet. Taking a few glances around, I tried to decipher where the washrooms were, when in the distance I spotted a little blue bathroom sign and started heading towards it.
To get there, I had to cross what seemed like an ocean of people. I could hardly walk straight, so making my way through this sort of crowd seemed nearly impossible. I tripped over my own feet and others. A few people pushed me once I bumped into them, however I couldn't find the strength to care about the fowl things they shouted at me. I kept on pushing through, until finally, I came into contact with somebody.
"Oomph! I- I'm so sorry-" I began uttering my apology, however I was soon cut off by a deep, concerned voice.
"(Y/N), are you drunk?" I looked up to see Koujaku, staring down at me with wide eyes.
"I don't know.. am I?" I asked. I held my head, which was getting fuzzier and fuzzier by the second. My knees began to buckle and I felt myself sway forward slightly. "I really need.. *hic!* ... The bathroom."
"Let me take you there," Koujaku gently held my shoulder, helping me keep my balance and started leading me to there he other side of the room
His hands are really warm..
Well, not just his hands. All of him is warm.
"You're so warm..." I muttered with little to no thought. I then let my eyes close and I indulged in Koujaku's warmth, letting him lead me to the washroom.
---
Wow. This is going so fast.... I'm such a fucking pervert.
