All good things come to an end

Ok woah I started this part in august and I just found it and I completely forgot wtf lol so yeah this is so weird and I can't really remember where I was going with this so bear with me 😂

Edit: OK WOW it's now 2021 and I just found this AGAIN and now I'm gunna finish it because I'm bored. Also I can't remember the times this was set but I'm just going to presume they were in year ten around half way thru and go from there. Also I can't remember who was in who's tutor so imma say the eboys were all in the same tutor idk.

George would remember that day forever, the  best birthday. One of the happiest days he had ever experienced. Although, everyday was significantly happier, since he was with Alex. After the last song ended, the group bid fair well to each other, and had all parted ways, but not before Alex woke George, and Will woke Stephen, and James woke Aria, all of which, had fallen asleep with their partners. George stayed with Alex that night, after texting his mum and letting her know. Almost as soon as he got to Alex's house, he crashed onto his bed, assuming the same position as earlier, his arms and legs wrapped around Alex, perfect.

This was a long time ago. The group had a fun summer holiday, spending lots of time together, now closer than ever. They explored, and skateboarded, and enjoyed their time together, but soon, it was time to go back to school, as all good things, must come to an end. George begrudgingly woke up to his phone blowing up.

He groaned as he got out of bed, and quickly thrown on his favourite clothes, and got ready for school. The group hadn't changed much. James now had a big beard, which was a huge improvement, and nothing other than the fact they had grown up a bit changed. Clearly not much though, as George saw will doing a wanker sign at him and sticking up his middle fingers. He rolled his eyes and scoffed down his breakfast, kissed his mum goodbye, and exited. Into the cold. It shouldn't be that cold, considering summer had just ended, but it was the uk after all.

"Finally decided to show up." Will huffed, playfully, "shut up." George laughed, as he punched his arm. It was weird getting back into this routine. "Wanna record a video with my at some point? Fans'll love it." He expressed, as they walked up the cold ridden road. "Yeah sure, shotgun it going on my channel." He quickly added, as Will swore loudly and rolled his eyes. "Remember when you first saw Alex here." He suddenly asked, catching George off guard. He blushed and hazily looked over at the other side of the road where Alex was, and nodded dreamily.

School went back to normal- except this time, George was dating Alex. It made the last year of school bearable, to say the least, with Alex secretly holding his hand, random hugs, leaning on his shoulder, kissing him, all round embarrassing him, but secretly, George loved it. The school year flew by and soon enough, they where taking their GCSE's.. They had all went around each others houses afterwards and celebrated with a drink.

And then, they had, leavers prom. I would go into detail describing what happened, but it was pretty much the same as what happened at George's party, minus the surprise element.
It ended, as things usually had, with George in Alex's arms. The others had left, followed by George and Alex (who headed off to George's house), and George fell asleep on him. The taller boy scrolled through his phone, while George's breath lightly lapped against his exposed neck. Suddenly, a knock at the door of George's bedroom startled Alex. He panicked, Alex knew that George wouldn't be happy if his mum found out.

The door creaked open, as Alex attempted to push George away, but he was too tightly wrapped around him, and with any more force, he would wake him, and he couldn't do that. "Oh!" She exclaimed in surprise as Alex froze, and looked up at her stiffly. "Are you two...?" She asked, gesturing towards them and wagging her finger from the doorway. Alex blushed and nodded. "Aw, that's so nice." She cried, but still trying not to wake George, "he always talks about you, you know. I always suspected. Is he gay?" She asked, in a kind, and quiet tone, trying not to disturb George, or fluster Alex.

Alex hesitated, should he be sharing this with George's mum? He couldn't think for much longer, (hello this is future me from here) as his mum eagerly awaited an answer. "Yes..." he cautiously spoke, his voice dripping with regret as he told something that was private to George to his mother. "Oh! I'm so happy that he has finally found someone!" She squealed (me from the future again but even more future), overjoyed about the news she had just received. "Ok," she began, regaining her posture, "I'll leave you two to it." She giggled, swiftly exiting the room. The door clicked closed, causing George to shuffle and his ocean blue eyes flickered open. "What was that?" He mumbled, in a sleep laced voice. "Nothing, go back to sleep georgie." He sighed with a smile hanging over his face. George hummed and closed his eyes once again, too tired to reply. "I love you..." Alex whispered, not expecting a reply, as he gently fiddled with George's light brown hair. "I love you too." The boy mumbled softly, earning a surprised and warm smile from Alex, who presumed he was asleep.

One year later...

The boys had all sat their exams. They had enjoyed school, despite it being notoriously boring, and irritating- they had enjoyed their time there, as most of their best memories had been from there, their closest friends, and even their romantic relationships. A somber mood was casted over the school- happy and festive, yet somber, as it was their last day of school- ever. This was it. Nothing would ever be the same again. They were soon going to depart into the big wide world. They had all gotten their exam results back, and the end, it turns out that they all got good grades, except James who got some of the highest in the year, which they had all mocked him about of course.

The school had decided to throw somewhat of a prom for leavers. Everyone had bought their best clothes to school, such as suits and dresses- but for now, even though given the option of wearing their regular clothes, most had elected to wear their uniform, just for the last time. The day was far from normal. The year elevens were aloud to do practically whatever they wanted, not having to attend classes, but being aloud to wander and roam the school, stopping by classrooms and old memorable spots. The group which included: George, Alex, Will, James, Fraser, Stephen, Tom, josh, aria, Gee and Mia. They gathered together, and once the teacher dismissed them to do what they wanted, they dispersed from the rest of the groups and cliques in their year, and wandered over to the most memorable spots.

They stopped by most of their old classes, such as English, and maths. It felt like they were revisiting something from their childhoods, even though it had been close to normality merely a few months ago. They stopped by their individual tutors, meaning around half the group had to split up. Soon, it was just George, Will, Alex, and James, undoubtedly the closest members of the group. They all joked and laughed, as they wandered down the deserted halls towards the classroom, earning stares from students in nearby rooms that weren't in the last year. Alex looked over towards George, and slipped his hand into his, causing George to look up and smile warmly. Their hands remained entwined, as they continued down the dull carpeted corridor.

Soon, the group were at the door of their tutor, the place where most of them had met each other. Where will and George had first became friends, and where Alex and James had first acquainted. They all wished they had became friends earlier, because it seemed as quickly as it had started, it was ending. But they had all sworn they would keep in touch after school, and no one intended on breaking that promise. They looked around the empty room. They felt the sad feeling of nostalgia leak into their stomachs, like honey slowly dripping. This would quite possibly one of the last times they were here. They had spent so much time over the past few years here, and it was all finally going to end.

This was the day that most people would dream of. Constantly saying, "I wish school would end", and "I hate school, I want to leave."- but they had never realised how much they didn't want to leave, until it was finally time to. They wandered over to their table, and sat on top of it. The usually lively room was a deadly silent. Alex felt his eyes grow glossy, as a thin sheen of tears covered the surface area of his blue eyes. "Oh, don't cry al." George comforted, not letting on the fact he felt close to tears himself. He pulled Alex into a tight embrace, as the four sat on the edge of the table together, taking in their surroundings, each thinking back to different memories from this room.

All the boys eyes were slightly red with tears that threatened to fall. "W- we should head to where we said to meet the others, they are probably waiting for us." Will finally spoke horsely, "besides, we will probably come back here after prom." He quietly stated, earning nods from the others. They all hopped off the table, Alex sniffling, while George held him. They trooped out, and wandered the corridors once again, the bright sun streaming through the windows, illuminating the walls they had walked for years.

They soon saw the small crowd that consisted of the other members of their group. "Sorry we took a while, we got a little distracted." Will hummed, noticing the slightly sad look on everyone faces. There was an unspoken sadness hanging over everyone, as they stood in silence. "Where should we go next?" Josh asked, as the others pondered. "How about our spot in the field, under the tree." George suggested, as mumbles of agreement scattered around the small crowd. "Ok let's go there." Stephen chimed, "everyone up for that?" He asked, as hums and nods replied. "Yeah, sounds fun." Tom told, clearly holding back tears. Tom and Alex were the only ones so far that had actually cried, and everyone looked as through they were about to tip off the edge.

They trudged up the sunny hills into the field. A small amount of other students clearly had the same idea, as there were significantly smaller groups of students scattered around the field, all a good distance away. An eerily calm quiet was settled over the school, except the mild hum of chatter from classrooms, and the birds and light wind outside, that licked against the groups faces gently. They all got to the spot where they had spent so much of time on sunny days, all messing around and laughing underneath the now blossom tree. It was a beautiful place, and only now did they notice. They settled down under the tree, and chatted lightly, all cheering each other up. They had a good time, even though the idea of leaving school was looming just over the horizon. "Guys, we can all come back to here later after the prom anyway, so we shouldn't be sad now." Will pointed out, as he noticed the amount of people looking on the verge of tears. Alex and George were simply sitting in each others embrace, silent. "I just can't believe it's actually ending, you know?" James pointed out, as the others agreed. "Yeah, like I never actually imagined this day happening, it just felt like it wouldn't ever come." Josh expressed, in a solemn tone, summing up how the whole group felt. "Me too." Mia agreed with a sad nod.

The longer they stayed there, the more lighthearted the conversation became, and soon, laughter could be heard emanating from their group. They all giggled and chuckled as banter was thrown across to one and other, all slowly forgetting about the impending deadline of school ending. It just felt like another summers day, chilled out at the field. Until finally, they heard the bell ring one last time, which was a stark reminder their time was drawing close to an end. This bell was for lunch, and so they all wandered back inside and in the direction of the cafeteria.

Soon, the group arrived there, one by one slotting into a seat at the rows of tables. The hall was filled with chatter, nothing compared to the usual amount of noise, but still comforting, as it felt like a normal day. Teachers stopped by, talking to the students as through they were old friends. Mr jacobs suddenly walked over to their table, acting like a friend catching up with them after a long time. "Hey there guys, how are you all doing?" He asked in a cooled voice. "Good" and "fine" was scattered around, as he nodded in response. "How are you all feeling about leaving?" He asked, innocently, not knowing what the toll these words had on them were. "G- good." Will stumbled out, as the others all mumbled similar replies. Other teachers all stopped by for small talk, as they all awkwardly replied.

"Hey I swear he like- hated my the other day- and now he's acting like we are best mates!" George exclaimed, as the teacher wandered away. "I know right! Man teachers are a weird breed." Will commented, earning a laugh from the others. "Attention!" The headteacher suddenly called out, causing the room to slowly decent into silence. "The prom is going to start just after period five, so I'd recommend spending the next hour or so getting everything ready." She stated, as an excited wave of quiet chatter scattered across the room. Everyone had been looking forward to the prom since they had joined the school, hearing rumours about it from older students. It was everyone's dream to attend it. They all knew what to expect of course, it wasn't going to be some grand ball- it was thrown by the school of course! But still, the idea of it was amazing, and they couldn't wait.

You know what I didn't expect to get this invested in writing this so imma legit write another chapter for the prom bruh idky I'm loving this so much.
