Chapter 1 -The hacker-
(A/N): I'll have a poll later to decide if you guys (or whoever's reading this) wants this to start being romantic or platonic. I might also write a separate continuation that's romantic/platonic.
I also might do another book kinda like this with another fandom, not the plot but the splitting into platonic and romantic stories. In my opinion it would be fun for it to just be platonic but I'm fine if you guys want that to change.

"You have the money?" A rough sounding man said, growling a little as he tried to intimidate the user he was talking too. "Yeah, I'll give it up immediately once I get what you promised." Another man spoke, his voice almost seemed a bit empty and dull. Just the type of internet loser who's trying to access weird nasty items from Dark Web dealers. I've dealt with these types of things for a long time. These weirdos try to buy gross stuff to fuel their loneliness even more. Heck, they can barely interact with actual people! This case in particular was nasty. Nudes a hacker swiped from the cloud. They even added in a number for blackmail. Some poor girl might end up having to listen to this creep. As I peered over the edge of the building I was on, I noticed the dealer take out a smaller package, handing it over. From my experience I knew that once the deal was over the dealer wasn't concerned about the user, some don't even reveal code names. They're after money and once that money is earned they cut ties completely.
The user, almost robotically, opens the package and checks inside. "The money." The man opposite of him demanded, scoffing as he checked his watch. This must be a new user, considering how long this deal is taking. Something seemed off. The buyer almost smirked and suddenly threw a small ball. I knew that gadget, it was a stunner, or as most people call it, a wall block. Stunner sounds way cooler. The model looked relatively old but still in good shape. Maybe I could use it as scrap. It activated, blinding everyone around it with a bright green. I shielded my eyes, wincing. I could see the outline of the pervert making a run for it. Man this dude was brave, nobody attempts to screw over a Dark web dealer. I could hear the dealer yelling at him, obviously pissed. I simply smiled mischievously and put on my mask. It hid my identity while being one of my signature features. I took a deep breath and pushed myself off the side of the building, flipping so that I dropped head first. As I fell I could see the night sky. The stars in this world were little electrical sparks while the moon was just a coded object. I don't know who coded it or why they put it there but it made everything feel nicer.
Reality came back to me and I twisted over so that I landed on my feet, using my hand to stabilize myself. "Who the hell are you?" I heard the user say, stopping in his tracks as I stood in front of him. "Someone you'll regret seeing." I grumbled, the mask modifying my voice so that I sounded more robotic. This was to hide my identity as people always wanted to get back at me. Multiple hackers are paid to track me down, they never do though. I smirked a little as the guy looked confused. I could see the dealer in the back running towards us as well. Unexpectedly, I jumped behind him and hit him over the head with a stabilizer. Or as others call it, a remote restart. I took the package out of my hands, making sure everything was inside. "Oh it's you? Never knew Black Fire would help a dealer like me out." The man said, slowing down to a halt as he looked back at the unconscious user. I nodded, getting down and searching the buyer for anymore files. "You were dealing with a newbie, a brave one at that. I hid all of his other files already so he's going to freak out when he starts up again." I said, getting up and turning to the seller. "Do whatever you want with the creep." "Ey, Thanks Black F. You ever need a favor come talk to me eh? I could also get your contact for my boss if your interested." "No thanks, I'll stick to freelance." I jokingly said, making him smile. "I'll be taking 100 though, and you owe me." He simply laughed as he grabbed the man, digging through his files and tossing me the money. "Here ya go. I've already got his bank account settled." I laughed. "Wish I could stay for the reaction."
With that I leapt off, leaving the restarting pervert with the dealer. I grabbed onto the ledge of another building and threw myself up, landing on top as I surveyed the market. This is the technological world I work in. I know there's the 'real' world out there. I don't even know if I belong there though. Even if I did I didn't really know how to get myself back. That's why I work as an anonymous hacker. I dabble in working on new internet world technology, that's why I'm one of the most advanced hackers out here. A lot of hackers use the general stuff available to them. They buy from different companies but the tech from there is cheaply made and easily deactivated. I loved to work on that stuff though. I pulled up my interface, a pink digital hologram screen with a lot of symbols and numbers the average user wouldn't be able to decode. As I scrolled through my requests, I also took hacking jobs on the side, I started to think. I live in this digital world, right now I was in the Dark web, next to it is the Deep web. Both places were kinda dark and structured. The Deep web side acted and looked more professional while the Dark web side seemed more untamed. Beyond that there's the normal internet for the average user. It's bubbly and fun while the people there are great to talk to. That part of the web was sunny and full of flowers and trees and parks, stuff like that. I wish I could spend more time there but I decided to become a rouge hacker myself. I lifted my mask slightly, letting a hologram visor fill my vision.
This is my world and I'm determined to protect it.
