The next week was filled with different procedures, Jessica did not move a step away from her daughter. She spent the night with her in hospital and tried to always cheer her up.

"Good morning, my little girl!" Jessica smiled when Agnes opened eyes

"How are you feeling?"

"Good"

"I'm glad to hear that, baby! You know Alicia will come to you today and then daddy Abby and Leo" Jessica said with joyful voice, but Agnes just nodded as rubbed her eyes. Jessica sighed and turned to the table, to take a tray with food which nurse has brought.

"You need some food to get your energy back!" Jessica sat down at the edge of the bed and placed the tray on her lap  but Agnes turned her head and crossed her arms.

"Agnes, please, you need to eat!" Jessica tried to feed her but Agnes closed her mouth with her hands.

"Honey, please, you love this"

Agnes looked at her then threw the tray off the bed with an angry look on her face.

"Agnes, stop this right now! I know you're hurting, but you should be eating, not throwing food all over the floor!" Jessica yelled

Agnes covered her face with her hands as she began to cry. Jessica sighed, rubbing her temples, then held out her hands to Agnes.

"Come here"

Agnes climbed onto her lap as Jessica hugged her tightly.

"Mommy's sorry, sweetheart. I'm sorry. But you have to eat to gain  energy and to feel better okay?" Jessica kissed her temple, trying to hold back the tears. Agnes nodded, then looked at her. Jessica smiled, then kissed her forehead and hugged again

"I love you so much, baby girl!"

"I love you too, mommy!" she replied in a small voice and Jessica smiled.

"Hi!" Alicia came in

"Alicia!" Agnes jumped off the bed and ran to her sister. Alicia knelt down and hugged her.

"Oh, my little Agnes!" she kissed her on the cheek.

"Are you feeling ok?"

"Yes! Look, you have a big belly!" Agnes put her hand on her stomach

"I know the baby's growing fast, right?"

"Yes!"

"Now I have a problem" Alicia giggled, because she didn't know how to get up

"And mom can always help!" Jessica helped her up.

"Thank you!" Alicia hugged her

"Look at that cute belly!" Jessica said in a high voice, placing her hands on her stomach

"When grandma finds out the gender of my grandchildren?" she looked at her daughter

"Soon!" she giggled.

Alicia stayed with them until the evening and when Danny and the other kids arrived, they started playing games and talking. When it was time to go home, the kids didn't want to leave without Jessica

"Mommy, I don't want to go home without you!" Abby hugged her leg

"Mommy, I don't want either!" Leo hugged her other leg.

"My babies, mommy missed you too, but I have to be with Agnes, because she'll be afraid to be here alone" she hugged them

"But guess what? The doctor let Agnes go home for a few hours on Saturday, and then we'll all be together, sounds great?" she smiled and they agreed.

Jessica missed them very much and it was difficult for her when not all her children were with her, but she could not leave Agnes alone.

That night, when Agnes fell asleep and Jessica was about to go take a shower, someone knocked on the door.

"Sam?! What are you doing here?" she whispered letting him in.

"There's just this old nurse fell asleep and I sneak out!" Sam kissed her on the cheek  Jessica giggled.

"I bought some cookies for Agnes and a toy"

"And I wanted to ask you if you'd go out with me tomorrow?" he put his arms around her waist

"Sammy...."

"At least for two hours, please! I miss you!" he leaned against her forehead. Jessica thought for a few minutes then sighed

"Okay, I'll ask Danny to stay with her"

"Yes!" Sam started jumping like a baby, making her giggle.

"Shh!" Jessica stopped him and he kissed her passionately.
