Today was your birthday and you could not be more exited. You were standing in the front of your closet and tried to decide what to wear, Uta accepted your request to spend your birthday at the amusement park. After some time passed you finally decided for an outfit that was a (color) summer dress combined with black tights, a (color) oversized sweater and some regular sneakers. Your bangs were braided to the side to make your natural face visible.

You packed some things you needed in a bag and placed it on your shoulder before you left your room and walked downstairs

"You look lovely" Uta complimented you as he saw you, a little blush appeared on your cheek and you playfully placed a strand of your hair behind your ear

"Thank you, you look very nice to" he was wearing a dark blue shirt with a black sweater on top, a pair of black jeans and some matching biker boots. His hair was in it's usual ponytail and especially for you he placed some contacts in his eyes to let him look human. You really liked his style and that he went through the trouble to inset contacts to match you.

"I really like your eyes" you smiled and walked in front of him to observe them, he choose a dark brown color that let his eyes pop

"Thank you, I wanted to walk next to you without having to put my glasses on" his comment made you really happy

"That means a lot to me, I look forward to have fun today" he smiled softly and picked up the tickets he bought

"It's your birthday and I will make sure that you enjoy every second of it".

You arrived at the amusement park, it was huge you never seen a place like this before. Your eyes were sparkling like those of a little kid

"T-This is so beautiful!" Uta stood behind you and watched your behavior that set a smile on his face, he slowly walked forward and took your hand in his

"Then what are we waiting for, let's try out the attractions!" he pulled you along towards the first ride, you were so exited that you did not realize that you were actually holding hands like a couple.

The roller coaster was amazing, everyone on board was screaming their lungs out including you. This was so much fun, you could not ask for anything better. The ghost train was scary but you had Uta next to you who protected you from the falling down skeletons and the chainsaw guys. The waterfall was the crown of everything, you were 8 people in a small boat running down a floating river until a huge waterfall was ahead, you hold on to Utas hand tightly as the boat tilt over the edge and you were on a freefall 10 meters down. You screamed your lungs out of joy, the boat hit the water surface and a huge wave of water washed over everyone, you could not stop yourself from laughing it was so funny. Uta's hair was all over his face and you probably did not look any better, once you exit the boat you were leaded to a bathroom to dry yourself up and you still could not stop laughing

"You look like a panda bear!" you laughed as Uta dried his hair in a towel, he started laughing because he noticed how happy you were, this was a full success.

"Oh really? Then you look like a raccoon!" he run his hair through your hair messing it up even more

"Hey!" you giggled from the bottom of your heart

"That's better!" he laughed and you looked yourself in the mirror seeing your hair standing in every direction, you laughed with him

"This is the best day in my life! Thank you so much for being here with me!" Uta opened his eyes and looked at your face, it was washed over with pure happiness, he could feel his chest tightening a little but he suppressed the pain and petted your head gently

"I had a lot of fun to!" his voice was really soft and you blushed at his honest words

"You really think so?" he nodded

"I do, this is actually my first time being in a amusement park myself" he removed his hand

"R-Really?"

"Yes, it's not really usual for us to go to such crowded places like the amusement park if you understand what I want to say" you nodded

"I know... that makes me even happier that you came along" you finished drying up and made for the market place.

The sun started setting slowly as you walked by the candy shops, everything smelled so nice your eyes gazed over to every store looking at the candies that were produced there. Uta knew you were hungry he could hear your stomach complaining miles away

"I'll be right back" he left your side and walked to a candy bar picking up something

"Here you go" he handed you a pink candy floss

"Thank you that's exactly what I wanted to try!" you took the first bite of the sweet cotton ball and enjoyed the sugar taste

"Hmmm! It's so good!" you smiled satisfied

"I'm glad you enjoy it" you quickly noticed that you were talking to much about human food and apologized not considering his feelings

"I-I'm sorry, I did not mean to talk about food all the time, I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable..." Uta smiled

"Don't worry, you are not making me feel uncomfortable, I love it when you talk about food, it makes your face look really happy" you blushed again and hid yourself behind the huge cotton ball

"Alright, that sets my heart on ease" Uta looked up into the sky and he noticed the huge Ferris wheel

"Hey, let's ride that before we go home" he suggested, your eyes looked up to the beautifully lightened attraction and you nodded

"Woow... that looks mesmerizing..." Uta smiled and took your hand again

"Let's go!".

The city view was breathtaking, your eyes were practically glued to the window, this was the best birthday ever for you and it made it even more perfect because you could spend it with Uta.

"The city is so beautiful, I can't believe we are so high up" Uta chuckled as he looked out the window on the other side

"It almost makes you think you can fly right?" you nodded

"Yeah! I feel like a bird in the sky" Uta smiled to himself

"Be careful that the window does not break, It's not made for girls who admire the view so much" he joked and you could hear him giggling lightly

"You are mean you know that?" you started laughing yourself

"I could not help it" he chuckled, you both laughed for a moment until you turned quiet

"Hey..."

"Hmm?"

"Thank you for today, I really enjoyed every second of it" Uta smiled

"No problem, I had a lot of fun to" you smiled brightly to yourself

"Hey..." he looked at you

"Would it be too selfish to ask..." you paused, his eyes looked at your reflection in the glass

"To spend more time like this... I really enjoy things more when I'm with you..." Uta's heart started pounding in his chest and he tried to act cool

"No it would not be selfish... not at all... I would love to spend more time with you, your presence brings me happiness, I have to admit that I never smiled as much since you came around, you make me... really happy" your heart was shaking and jumping like hell in your chest and you tried to calm down, you were literally inches away to confess your feelings to him if he kept saying things like this

"U-Uta... I want to... tell you..." your head was fighting a huge war if it was ok to tell him or not, the fact that you knew the truth about him did not hold you back at all

"I... I..." he heard you stuttering and it made him shake

"I want to tell you that I am so grateful that you took me in, I never really thanked you for anything... you changed my life completely and made me smile again, I never thought I could see the positive side of life ever again, but you gave me a new reason to live, to fight and to hold on to things that are important to me, I don't care if you are a ghoul... to me you are the most important person in my life and I want to stay with you until you want me to leave! You are my hero and my best friend, I never felt happier before! Thank you for everything you did for me, I know I can never pay you back for all that but I promise that I will never stop thinking about you, you are my happiness and the reason I never want to give up anymore!" a small tear escaped your eyes and you felt Uta shifting on the small wagon, he was seating himself next to you and placed his hands on your shoulders pulling you away from the window and taking you into his arms, your words lightened his dark heart and let it fill with happiness and joy, his arms pulled you into a very deep hug that let your body stiffen a little from surprise. His hands hold you really close and you could feel his body warmth through his clothes

"You can stay with me as long as you want to, I will never ask you to go... you are already part of my life and I want you to stay with me... watching you everyday let's me forget what I am and what sins I've committed so far... you are a precious person to me and I will protect you with my life" you hugged him back and nuzzled your face into his neck, the smile on your face was unforgettable it made you happier than anything else in the world, to know you are allowed to stay with him makes your emotions run wild. The small wagon reached the ground a few minutes later and both of you walked out, the day was at it's end and you slowly made your way home.

On the train you could not help the tiredness anymore and fell asleep on Uta's shoulder, at your station he took you in his arms and carried you piggy back style home. He took off your shoes and walked you into the bedroom placing your body softly on the sheets, he made you sure you lied comfortable before he pulled the covers over your body, he silently stood up from the bed and wanted to leave when he felt your hand holding on to his little finger. He turned around to find you deep asleep, he smiled and bend down to brush over your face with his fingertips, you could feel his warmth even though you were asleep, his fingertips left your face and then you suddenly mumbled something in your sleep

"I love you" Uta's eyes widened and he stared down at your sleeping form, his heart started speeding and he lifted his hand away from your face. He figured that you mumbled that in your sleep unintentionally, he knew about your feelings though but it made him even more happy to hear it directly from your mouth even if it was a confessing in your sleep, it made him his emotions run wild... he watched you for a moment and then his eyes wandered over to the clock that was hanging on your wall, it was 23:59 pm and still your birthday. He cupped your face softly and bend down to you, this was the final present he wanted to give you... his lips carefully kissed yours, the clock hit 00:00 am and the hour sound echoed through the room, he slowly pulled away leaving your lips

"I love you to" his voice whispered to you.
