Freedom of Mind (2)
It was late (I guess). The sun was still up but it was pretty much set. The colors in the sky all melted together in one big gradient. The clouds were there, but not. It was beautiful. I took a picture.
I got in the car and went. Where? Everywhere. I drove over bridges to the beat of my tunes and through the city to my own melody. The world was flying past me as I stuck my head out the window and screamed. I felt alive, and I took a picture.
I drove myself on a backroad, leading me up to a hill. The road was bumpy like the earth it rested on but what was to come was even better.
I drove all the way to the top and got out, running up to the very edge. It was steep, and overlooked the city. I looked up at the sky and realized it had gone dark with its twinkling, speckled stars throughout. The city light glow and the night sky melded perfectly together.
The sight was perfect. Nothing could touch you but everything could at the same time. You were near and far. You were free, and it felt great.
